"Let's see...." He pulled out some fruit and meat out of his pack, "It ain't much, so we might as well finish it off." The other shades remain wary of the two.
"We making a picnic, or eating on the go?"
(Should the shades know about Seth?)

"Whatever you'd prefer."
(Yeah.)
(Yeah.)
"I think it'd be nicer to picnic," Moon said.
(lol How should they react?)

"Alright, let's find a nice place and dig in." Kyoya said in response, getting a small blanket out.
("Woah, the kid's got a new pet!")

Nodding, Drop looked around. She settled for a spot right next to a tree trunk so that the leaves would make cool shade to sit under. "There's good," she smiled at Kyoya.

"Looks good!" Kyoya said, heading towards the spot, "Afterwards, we should see if we can find the leader of the place." He continued, trying to ignore the hateful eyes around him.
"The Vioz," the witch supplied, not too concerned about the looks thrown their way.
The islanders wouldn't do anything to the pair so long as they appeared not to be a threat. It was clear why they hated having Kyoya there. He was a mortal -a knight, no less-, and mortals had chased them to the brink of extinction. She'd convince them he meant no harm.

Kyoya looked a bit confused, "Is that some ancient language of the shades or something?" He asked her, watching the shades look away upon learning from Moon.
She nodded. "Every time I've used a spell or enchantment, I've spoken the same language. It's called Ogojohat, and it's much more effective than Latin-based magic."
"Interesting, we've always used Latin to perform basic spells, or I've just stuck with my ring." He said in response, smiling.
"That's why shades are so strong. It produces more quality and quantity at an efficient pace. There's a down-side to using the language, though.." Moon dropped her gaze at this.
"Does it put you guys under some kind of trance or something? And, I suppose that explains why despite being so cu---" His voice cuts off immediately, returning to a deep red color, almost as dark as the apple in his hand.
Blushing, the witch shook her head. "The power of magic gained from Ogojohat tempts witches to misuse their gifts, but doesn't otherwise change our personality much. I'm sure you've heard the law of equivalent exchange. One can't make something from nothing, even for shades. The magic does different things to each of us. It takes the nutrients from anything I eat, which is why I'm so malnourished my bones are visible."
"Yeah, it's an old law of alchemy, one cannot make something out of nothing. It's a principle I follow, myself." Kyoya said, understanding most of what she said, his normal color slowly returned.
"Exactly," she smiled. "Vioz means 'head' in English."
"That's interesting. You shades have a pretty colorful culture, huh?" Kyoya said as he finished his meal.
"From what I've been told, yes," Moon nodded. She had eaten three berries and two bites of meat, giving the rest to Seth.
"Um...remember what I asked just a few moments ago?" Kyoya asked, jumbling his words around.
"Which part?"
