The small village of Restarn is nestled in between two high forested hills within it's craggy region. Only able to be seen from the hills or the dirt path which passes it. It is surrounded in wooden pillars, with spiked tops, and it's gate is nothing more than two large wooden doors, able to be barred from the inside. Inside the village lies many mossed-over wooden and stone buildings, with the most decorated being the Chieftain's Hut, the Gathering Hall, and some of the few stores that lay inside the village, with all of them being jacks of all trades, housing food, weapons, armor, tools, and books.
The Chieftain has put up several posters and bounties across the other towns, with it offering only fifty golden coins to those that try to save his dear princess. The instructions state that any bounty hunter or traveler interested in the deal head to Restarn and enter it's gathering hall so that he may explain the situation in further detail. And today is the day that you're supposed to meet this Chieftain. It's near mid-day already. Better get going...
The Gathering Hall is a dome-like structure made of wood and stone. It's not the big, but could easily hold more than a two dozen townsfolk. Inside lies many benches and chairs facing a lectern and a round table near the back. The inside is lit by a blazing chimney to the left as well as a chandelier lit up with mystical yellow flame.

Joseph went into the gathering hall and started looking around the gathering hall for the Chieftain. He didn't have any troubles getting here. Well that not exactly true, he may have burst into a persons house or two looking for the right building. It was by luck that he had seen the poster really, he had appeared here a few days ago, and really needed some cash. There were a good amount of people around that he could've guessed was the Chieftain, so he didn't even bother trying to find the right guy. Looked like it would be more of a speech type of thing anyways...
people still here RPing?
Meanwhile, Ellie was already waiting at the gathering hall, perched on a bench near the center and eager to earn that reward. She'd seen the poster on her roaming travels to avoid a brute she'd cheated out of some gold a few towns over. Besides, any possibility to gain a few extra coins and she was there.
As she sat, waiting for the chieftain to show hisself and explain the job, her bright green eyes darted around the hall, scouting out possible allies and enemies (and also the odd person who may have noticed that their gold had conveniently ended up in her own pockets).

(Anyone know if the other two are going to join us? Y'know, GG and wolfe?)
((I dont know, should someone message them to let them know the forums up? ))
(I gave them notice on the proposal thread. If they don't respond to the forum within another day, three people will be taking Floatch's, GG's, and Wolfe's place.)
A dull growl was heard throughout the gathering hall as people started to enter, the beastial noise originating from a massive grey beast that was curled up beside the fire, it's hide broken up by several bone like plates and protrusions along its spine and joints, lying against the beast and beside the open flame of the chimney was a male with long dark hair the hood of his leaf like cloak pulled over his face and allowing shadows to obscure his appearance. "Easy Grey, they're just humans..." The voice that left the hooded figure was calm yet just as beastial as the growl that left his companions throat. Casually the elf let his eyes move from person to person, focusing on the less than obvious thief for a moment before turning towards the newcomer at the door and giving a barely audible scoff. "If this is who we'll be working with Grey... stay close to that one." The words came were not the common tongue of this land but a lighter, almost musical language though the voice still matched the earlier quiet words, as he spoke the hooded figure nudged his head towards the thief. Having spent enough time in this world to know that the ones that look shifty are often more than they seem.
(( I hope that this is a decent enough bit to start with. ))

((That's great!
I'm still up for this, but do we know who else is gonna be in it??))

((Hopefully Dathmach sees this thread's activity and decides to come back.))
Sitting in place on the rafters, she watched from above at the various people getting drinks and just socializing. Her hood drawn up over her face and hiding any physical attributes of herself. Observing most carefully the elf with the wolf like creature he called Grey. Her green eyes watching carefully and ears flickering softly at the voice he used to speak to his animal, recognizing it from some part of her ancient soul.
(assuming Joseph isn't going to post.)
As the small group settled down in the empty Gathering Hall, faint footsteps can be heard coming from it's entrance. There, a full on Dragon wearing plated armor, using a large poleaxe as a walking stick walks into the Gathering hall, accompanied by four guards wearing lamellar armor and wielding falchions and decorated heater shields. The Chieftain, upon closer inspection has wing-like decorations coming off of his helmet made of multi-colored feathers and other things. His armor covers his entire body, with his joints covered in chainmail, and his helmet resembling something like a bascinet fit for a dragon. He walks to the lectern and observes the three travelers in the Gathering Hall, craning his neck looking at each one, while the guards that accompanied him stick to his sides.
He cranes his neck over to one of the guards as if whispering to them, and then returning back to looking around. His voice is deep, and snarls into existence as he begins to speak. "I thank ye travelers for helping our small village. As you know, if ye all have seen the papers, our princess was kidnapped by some sort of summoner who came from the Northwest. It's forces were quick, and overwhelmed us until they snatched up what they wanted and left. Our scout has seen the same creatures of the summoner who attacked us around an abandoned stronghold about two days away from here. Long story short, we want our princess back. We will provide all you need in order to track this summoner down. Now... any questions?"

At the sight and smell of the dragon there is an even lower guttural growl from the dire wolf that was curled by the fire, slowly the massive beast rises onto his paws, it's shoulders standing near seven feet in height as it did, and it bared it's fangs each gleaming like ivory razors against it's gums as it lets out a low weary snarl. Standing just as quickly beside the wolf is it's master, the elf's hood falls back exposing his fine features and piercing eyes as he drew his bow and knocked an arrow before the first footfall of the dragon had finished stepping into the hall. In the tongue of his people he commanded his wolf to heel and wait causing the beast to lower it's lips and end it's sneering visage. Throughout the beasts steps toward the lectern the wolf and elf never lose eye contact with it and it's guards and the fingers he has around his bowstring never relax. "Excuse my friend, we've both had very negative encounters with draconic beings." His voice was laced with a sense of underlying malice yet he allowed his eyes to relax slightly.
Slowly his wolf laid back down and laced it's paws one over the other, taking a neutral stance as it's master laid back against it the bow still drawn and knocked in his fingers as he relaxed into the fur of his wolf. The elf listened to the dragon's speech and gently let the bowstring slack yet refused to remove it from his fingers as he did, a low hum started to come off of the arrowhead as he looked up at the dragon once more with a smirk. "I have several questions, though none of them relevant but these. Where is this abandoned stronghold? What do these creatures look like, and have you found any weaknesses at all? And what proof do you have that the princess is even alive?" His words came out sharp and cold, cutting through the air with a boost of arcane energy to increase their volume just slightly without turning them into a yell.
