Ivanna is walking to the bus when all of a sudden she trips and falls to the ground. The kids at the stop down the street laugh at her before boarding the bus. She stands up just as the bus drives by. "Great. Another day I miss first period!" she says as she starts walking to school.

When she gets there first period just ended and she is handed a pink slip when she enters the office to sign in. "Again?" the secretary asks as she signs Ivanna in. Ivanna nods and walks down the hall to her locker. Someone grabs her from behind and slams her against the wall. Its her ex boyfriend. "Looky here. The sluts late for school again!" he laughs. She whimpers and turns away. She hates the smell of alcohol but she cant tell him. Soon enough she is thrown on the ground. She waits till they walk away before standing up and grabbing her books, walking to second period. This is gonna be a long day. she thought as the tardy bell rang.

Zion was sitting on the bus when he saw Ivanna fall. He too was one of the kids laughing, but he immediately felt a rush guilt build over him, afterward. As always, he pretended he didn't care. Zion always had a high ego, a ton of friends, and he was extremely rude.

While Zion was walking to his class, he saw Ivanna was being pushed against a locker by some dude. Extremely angered, she almost walked up to the guy, but held it back. Zion went to class, not caring he was late, and sat his stuff down at his desk. He wanted to say something to Ivanna, maybe get to know her or something. So he waited for her. She could be really cool, who knows?

Ivanna walked into her first period class and sat at her desk. "what took you so long?!" the teacher said as she begins her lesson. Ivanna put her head down and takes notes.

Zion ignores the teacher, walking over to Ivanna's desk, leaving his things behind at his own desk. "Hey, are you alright?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. Zion generally had that look on his face that seemed like he didn't care, people generally mistaked him for not caring even though he did.

"I saw you at the bus and at the lockers." He added, speaking softly.

She looked up at the guy at her desk. "Why do you care?" she asked while getting out her books. She had a tear in ger eyes but she wiped it away. "No one ever cares about me" she says as she start writing.

Zion stayed silent for a moment, looking at her in the eye, "well, I care. Is that a crime?" He said, in a sort of smart ass tone, crouching beside her at her desk.

He looked down at the floor, not really knowing what else to say.

She looked down at her book. "im sorry, im not used to people caring" she says as she looks up. "you might want to take your seat the teachers giving you the stink eye" she giggled a bit at the teacher

"Its fine." He replied, "And I don't care, whats your name?" He asked, with a smile, glaring back at the teacher before turning back to Ivanna. Zion was always rude with teachers, and it usually got him in a lot of trouble. He really never learns his lesson.

"my names ivanna. Whats yours?" she asked. She had finished her notes and just decided to talk to him. She didnt relly care she already had a detention for being late again.

"Zion." He replied with a smile. People usually thought his name was weird, and he used to be pretty insecure about his name also, but he just decided to stop caring what people thought. There was nothing he could do about it anyway.

"Or you can call me Zen, Zi, or Zion. Whatever floats your boat." He said, still crouched beside her desk, he was a little uncomfortable the way he was sitting, so he shifted his body a little, "You have a very pretty name, by the way." He complimented, smiling at her.

"Thanks... Zion"She gave a real genuine smile. She hadnt smiled in such a long time. It felt great. She got out of her chair. "Here have my seat" she said as she motioned to her seat.

"No problem." He replied with a smile, shifting again, he laughed, "No its fine, i'm good where I am, but thank you though." He smiled, he found her kindness charming. He didn't understand why people were so mean to her, she seemed like a nice person.

Ivanna sat back down and smiled again as she lithtly blushed. She got out a sketchbook and drew a little during the rest of the class.

Zion nosily watched her draw, "Whatchu drawing?" He asked, hovering over her sketchbook.

She kept drawing. "I dont know yet" she said

He didn't reply, he watched her draw as he rested his head in his palm, and his arm on her desk.

"You're really good." He said, with a smile, as she pulled her drawing together.

She smiled as it started gorming into a face. "Thanks it helps me calm down"

happy went to school running if school had started she was knew and had know clue what this school would be like she walked in and went to the office trying to get her schudule for her classes. " new school new friends, new people, new everything," she muttered

"Thats cool." He replies, not looking up from her drawing. "I wish I could draw, I just don't have the patience." He laughs a little.
