Gabe shaked his head and looked down again where she was standing and smacked his lips confused. "I-I swear it was growing!" He chuckkled and face palmed himself and looked at Lara "I think this first day has taken a toll on me." He stepped closer to her and smiled "I think, I should throw a party tonight, you know so we can just get used to some of the kids here. Im thinking a costume party, it'll be fun, We can invite some of the kids in our class like ummm..." He looked around for potential students. "Like Pandora and ummm The hacker boy with the wings, and of course you...um the girl writing in her notebook beside Pandora and um OH! the teleporting girl, she seems cool, her and that boy with the tail! And anyone else you think would be cool! What do you think?" He smiled showing all his teeth, feeling better at the thought of having a get together and getting to know students here.
"I-it's....takes awhile to get used...to..." she said, "I'm not that really social kind of person...so...sorry." She gave a little smile, "But...I'll try."
(Gabe...By 'that boy with the tail' did you mean Mika or Lupus?)
Mika looked up, eyes wide, as she claimed she wasn't going anywhere. He stared at her like that for the entirety of her speech, in disbelief. Why wasn't she leaving? Didn't she understand? Why did it have to be so hard to get it through to her? He couldn't go back. He could never go back, not as his true self. Because...If he did, every single person there would become his master. Just like...He shuddered at the beginning of the thought, not allowing himself to complete it.
When she was finally finished, he spoke levelly, with no more tears left to cry, his voice barely audible through his scratchy tone. "Olivia....I was a slave. I was traded illegally from master to master, forced into obedience through....." He found himself lacking a word, so he gestured widely towards his scars to symbolize what happened to him if he disobeyed. "I can't go back as me, because....I am weak. I can't do anything without orders. I was born into the slave trade, Olivia. The only reason I'm not there now is because the police caught wind of rumors of human trafficking and went to investigate. But...Once they discovered what was being trafficked wasn't exactly human, they left. They left me without a home, without friends, without any knowledge of the outside world, and only the clothes on my back. Maybe...Maybe what's worse is that they left me without a master. At least, when I had one, it was always clear what I was supposed to do."

Pandora's smile made Jin's day. He could literally talk to her for hours, knowing that if he did, it would make her smile like she did just now. Pandora called over one of her friends, and she approached them shyly. Pandora told her not to worry, that they were friends, and the young girl apologized rather quickly, stating that she was antisocial. Jin questioned whether he should introduce himself, and thought it would be rude if he didn't.
"Hello. I'm Jin, one of Pandora's friends. Judging from the fact that she called you over here, I assume you are her friend too." He said, in a kind manner. "Well, Serah, nice to meet you." He said, keeping up the kindness. He looked over to the book in her hands, and saw she was holding it rather protectively.

"What's that book for?" He asked, curiosity filling his voice.

She nodded at the idea of the costume party. "That sounds really fun." She told him, "Don't forget about Max, we must invite him too!"

As soon as Pandora's phone chimed she fished it out of her backpack. She had gotten a group message from Gabe, inviting her and her other classmates to a costume party at his apartment tonight.

Olivia's hand drooped dejectedly to her side, how could she help someone who didn't believe she could? Who didn't want to be helped?

Well, you have that skill even if you have to fake to produce it. So, make that you." She shook her head, "Not knowing what you're supposed to do is just part of being a teenager. I suppose you never really got to know that, you never really got to experience childhood. But..I'll tell you this. Right now, I have no clue what I'm meant to be doing. I'm just making this up as I go along and I'm absolutely terrified that I'll mess this up and you'll ignore me but everyone has the ability to make stuff up, to pretend to know what they're doing and I know I have to do something."

Using force would hardly be helpful but... If I leave, what are you going to do? Stay here until you die of exposure? Find another master to suffer at the hands of? So I'm just going to have to stay here until I can work out a way to help." She leant against one of the grimy brick walls and finally looked up at him again.
Then, all of a sudden and most inappropriately, her phone buzzed. She pulled it out and glanced down at it, maybe it was someone she could ask for advice. At the message she gave the tiniest smile. "You've been invited to a party by the way," she murmured softly, 'But I suppose I'll have to go alone.' sighed the despairing voice in her head.

The entire time she was talking, Mika listened with surprising intensity. When she was done, he stared at her, bewildered.
"I...I don't understand." He muttered, shaking his head.

Now it was Liv's turn to stare in bewilderment, she'd just delivered that entire stressful speech and the only thing that evoked a reaction was the fact he's been invited to a party. If she'd had known that would happen then she'd have invited him to a party a long time ago. She laughed hysterically into her hands for a few moments before looking up at him.
"Why does anybody invite anybody to a party?" She asked him in return, "They obviously want to get to know you. You must have seemed like a cool guy to invite to a party." She smiled at him, "The question is, why do I keep being the only older student invited to parties? Not that I'm complaining".
When she looked at Mika again she looked hopeful. "So, I'm not the only one that wants you there, you see." She told him, "Will you come? It's a costume party but I'm sure I can find you some armour and you can pretend to be a knight or something."
She had her fingers crossed in her pocket.

Gabe Smiled at Lara and pointed at himself. "I have the PERFECT costume, everyone is probably going to be SHOOK! I might seem crazy but it's going to be awesome." After Lara and Gabe got done talking there was a loud echoing of majestic chimes and the new students looked around and Mr. Tate perked up and said "Oh that would be the bell for the next period, Good luck you wonderful beings! tomorrow we study the history of magic and more nonsense!" Mr. Tate snapped his fingers and the Mirror phased right up out of the ground and he pointed to it. "Come on now you all dont want to be late, hope you had a great first day in MAGIC CLASS!" He gave a jolly laugh and walked through the mirror and vanished. Gabe smiled and tapped Lara on her shoulder and yelled out "LAST ONE THROUGH THE MIRROR IS A ROTTEN VAMPIRE!"
Lara looked ponderous, "I'm sure I could find something that counts as a costume." She told him thoughtfully, she looked rather excited. "I can't wait!"

Jin understood what Serah meant about the bullies, having been there himself. He looked over at Pandora who had playfully punched his shoulder, telling him he had no choice but to go to the costume party. Jin groaned.
"Nooo.." He said, in a desperate tone.
"There's no way I'm going to a costume party." He said, once again, but a bit more demanding this time. Jin knew Pandora would make him, but he could hold up a fight. He put on a stubborn act, crossing his arms and refusing to look at Pandora. Suddenly, the bell rang, giving him a golden opportunity to leave, without Pandora nagging on him. He jumped up quickly, surprising the two girls, and ran through the mirror to class.
"Later!" He said, running off.
