"I figured," she muttered, her own mind still almost like an impenetrable wall to Jack, one that he couldn't read even if he tried. "I can imagine that reading minds can be a little...exhausting...especially in a crowd." She fidgeted with her scrubs absently, casting her gaze away, trying to avoid reciprocating the question of special abilities. "I don't like crowds either."
