Time of dreams, so is called the rumored time before history, that humans read in school books about, started. Time of myths, stories, legends, dragons and heroes that fight them - or along with them. But what if it wasn't just a dream, fruit of fantasy? What if all those creatures hid, to emerge when humans threatened to make Earth just a intergalactic junkyard? That is the story in which a girl woke, not knowing nothing of such world, yet knowing more than anyone about what had been...

It was like someone who had been drowning, sinking deeper and deeper into black waters, having lost nearly all grip on reality, had suddenly been pulled up by some unknown force, towards the surface. There was that feeling of movement, the strange light, somewhere far ahead, and sudden, strong urge to fight toward that light, even if there was no strength left. That is how Iantha would describe her awakening later, if asked about it.
In this black abyss, she did not know the meaning of time, nor life, nor dreams, but when this light came, she felt again. She surfaced, and, suddenly, she sensed her physical body again. Iantha could feel each limb, each muscle, and also faint streams coming from somewhere, pumping energy into each her pore, even if it all felt alien to her and she had only vague idea how to use this body.
She nearly subconsciously slowly opened eyes, not seeing anything what was above, just a blinding whiteness. Or was it blue, green? She did not know the names, the words, she was just a mere shell, with something stirring, growing, reaching for the energy, the life. It was so close, yet so far. The purple eyes stared ahead blankly.
In reality, the light was dim, shining from a single light-bulb, which blinked occasionally. It was a basement of long abandoned house, after all. It was wonder there was any electricity at all. But it made a perfect hiding spot, for those fleeing the street patrols who were looking for anyone 'unusual'.
Something a long, painful sigh escaped her lips. She was waking, yet what she sought was not in her reach. Near, yet so far. Dreams, energy, the source of all that made anyone a living being with feelings... If only she could touch it - her hand weakly rose, as if trying to grasp something and then fell to her side.
