Greetings ladies, gentlemen and various creatures of the night!

So I've been roleplaying for several years now, it's one of my favourite hobbies and a great way for me to develop my creative writing. I got out of it for several months because of some personal issues but now I'm eager to dive back in. I haven't seen this site before but I do like what I see so far.

In terms of interest I prefer roleplaying third person with long responses. 99% of my characters are female (that's my fault and I'm trying to develop some more male characters so I would love any advice or tips to get me more used to them) and if romance is a factor I prefer hetero or yuri. I do prefer to create characters to suit the plot rather than the other way around, and while I will put a couple of characters up to begin with I'd prefer to figure out an idea then build someone from scratch. I'm fairly open with genres, though I love fantasy and sci-fi themes the most because they allow far more creativity. My absolute favourite genre is horror, I am a complete horror nut and will take any opportunity to bring horror factors in; whether it's a pure horror roleplay, mixing with another genre like dark fantasy or even just a creepy character design, I will often ensure at least a tiny piece of horror is in there somewhere. Obviously if you're not into that I will keep it out but you need to tell me beforehand otherwise autopilot will take over; you have been warned. In terms of anything else just ask and I'll say if I will or won't do certain things.

Biggest thing I'd have to address is response time. I was on roleplaygateway for a long time and I've roleplayed on deviantart, but the main issue I've had is people who get annoyed if I can't be on for hours at a time. I will try and do one reply a day, minimum one reply a week and if I have time and we're both online I'll do a long session, but I cannot guarantee being online all day due to annoying real life obligations.

I also struggled with an all female library for quite a while before I was able to create male characters. I bet many people struggle with that ^^" How did you get into horror RP?

Well I've always been a fan of horror (mostly due to my parents) and wanted to improve my ability to write it, so when I started roleplaying I would often create characters or setting with a dark or macabre themes. Found I often have to mix it with other genres as I've struggled to find people who enjoy playing pure horror, but I'm fairly flexible so it isn't an issue.

What kind of roleplays do you like?

I've never been good at horror, so I find it really impressive that you not only can write it but enjoy it. As you said, its pretty rare ahah. That's pretty cool.

I'm mostly into fantasy, which is pretty typical I think ahaha, but I'm not dedicated to it or anything, so Ill try anything at least once.
