Humankind had never seen such unification before, a total disregard for the ever apparent discrepancies which once plagued the mind of the common man. Such a utopian Earth, conglomerate of respect and faith, comes at a price, however.
In the year 2058 physicists made a discovery, a horror whose truth must never be seen by the eyes of reality. Most would love to see the face of God; unless it wasn't as man's own greedy construct. A black hole was perceived to be the final answer, an exhilarating perusal of the universe's own filing cabinet, porthole to the past. This was sure to be what finally allowed the transcendence of man, gods made by their own persistence. Rather than enlightenment, when men were sent to the center of a black hole, they found their own insignificance. Man was not alone.
Many years following, particle accelerators were in use, the largest in the world, to net a greater understanding of fundamental particles, where yet another shocking truth was unearthed. It had long been theorized that black holes were indeed massive versions of elementary particles; however, this discovery was something new. It was a particle that wanted to expand rapidly, absorbing the area around it with less of the crushing density a black hole posseses. What's more, it didn't seem to behave in accordance to the rules of the universe. What these physicists had created was a portal, a doorway, to places untold. There, beyond the screen, was what the Christians would likely refer to as heaven, though there was also Hell. Through agreement they were termed The Aether and Gehenna officially.
Soon, swarms of alien beings began to invade the earth, what some would call angels and demons, named divinity and fiends. Their presence threatened the integrity of the world humans flourished upon as fiends sought technology and food, the divinity wishing to become gods by creating their own solar system, with earth as its sun.
Humankind was left with no choice but to band together, fight for their own land, stand above all and, perhaps in the end, ascend to godliness themselves.
I'm searching for skilled writers who are not only relatively active but also possess the desire to build upon this world of theology, science fiction, and fantasy with me.
