It was dark, forbidding night out in the Kingdom of Arcadia. Arcadia was a nice enough place, many wooden or white stoned buildings. Everyone normally got along and was welcomed by the Kingdom and towns, and no one was homeless anymore. The Emperor was kind enough to pay for their houses. His saying was 'The people I help today will give back to me in the future.' Yes it certainly was a very nice place... if you were human. A plain, normal, no defects or special features human. If you were not Human or normal...well you were executed. In a horrific fashion at that, or enslaved. Though many would argue on which is a worse fate.
It was very cold out right now, and dark. A light breeze was in the air, a slightly unsettling feeling if you were alone. The uncomfortable feeling of the cool breeze with the cold weather and the darkness would certainly feel unsettling. Especially in the forested areas. Which was where a being happened to be, to most he'd appear like a normal human. A little on the tall side, but normal looking enough. However he was very different, his eyes for one were a dark purple color. Something not seen in anyone in a long time, and the other... more chilling fact was he had a forbidden and 'dangerous' magic outlawed long ago. How someone could outlaw something you were born with never really made sense to the figure.
The figure's name was Arcus, he was a being who was given the 'blessing' of Void magic. He wore a black tattered cloak with a hood, it was very long and covered his entire body down to the beginning of his hips. He had black pants on as well, and black boots. He blended in very well into the darkness because of this, you know aside from his eyes. His skin was tanned and he seemed a little on the scrawny side in the stomach and chest area. His legs and arms seemed to be of more average proportion. Arcus was out here, hiding. Moving about so he would not be found by the Light Mage Accord, a group of 'Judicator's' who kept the order and peace and executed those who were different or dangerous. And Arcus was their number one priority to eliminate and hunted him relentlessly. And he could not seek asylm with any civilians, because they all feared him.
He sighed gently and tried to push those thoughts away, it never did him any good to dwell like that. He needed to focus on the now, and keep an eye on things. He could be jumped on at any time. So he needed to focus and keep on course.

The poor girl shivered as she looked around for her siblings, having landed only mere hours earlier, and still frantically and pathetically petrified. This land wasn't really like what story books told back at home, no it was not, but her legs still desperately and shakily carried her. The petite, almost child like Starkind choked on tears like normal, her throat burning and squeezing shut with the need to let out miserable sobs.
Her usual outfit was torn, her blouse being torn and dirtied and her jacket closed tightly against her cold and pale skin. Her loafers had fallen off during the fall, and so her feet were terribly damaged from her stepping on the wrong kind of items such as sticks and rocks in her way. Her skirt was terribly torn around the sides, and her tights were almost ripped off of her. She looked like hell, as her crimson eyes shined with red light that was dull but frantic, and her silver locks were messy and almost matted. Luckily her hair bow and her family's crest upon her choker was not damaged.
It wasn't long until she spotted someone, her red eyes shining somberly in the darkness to allow them to be seen, it wasn't her dear yellow nor green star sisters, but the silver star still eyed them. "H-hello!?" she let out with a whine filled with fear, "h-ha..." she started before trailing off, her throat unable to let any other noise without making her break into a fit.

Arcus froze in place, he heard something... sobbing? Someone was here, normally he'd run right away but this sounded like sobbing. Despite how much hell he had been put through in his life he never felt right just... leaving someone in distress. He swallowed harshly and he slowly turned to try and find the source of the sobbing. But it soon stopped, and he blinked a few times and bit his lip. He began to slowly rub his arms, where had they gone? Had they perished? Was he just imagining it? He was about to move again when he heard someone's voice, he jolted up right slightly and shivered with fear, chills going down his spine as he snapped his gaze quickly to the source of the sound, his dark purple eyes meeting her crimson eyes.
He stared at her for a moment, he had been about to run until he noticed not just the state of her outfit but also how injured she appeared. His heart sank, his mind now in a battle trying to decide if he should just run or see if she was alright. Normally him trying to help people never went well, and he just wished he would not care about other people. And not feel guilty if he left them... but he did feel guilty if he left someone in need. He had no clue why, everyone was horrible to him. He slowly placed the tips of his fingers together and swallowed "...Uh he...hello..." he said in a very meek sounding and worried tone, which did not at all match his tall imposing figure. Though that was likely just due to the darkness and the fact he was so tall. He swallowed harshly "W...what happened to...uh you?" he asked, he seemed to pause a lot and stutter on his words. Like he was constantly second guessing what he was saying half way through saying it.

"I..." she let out with a hiccup, unable to finish the sentence right away as her lips quivered. She shivered and quaked, looking up and craned her neck to look up at the figure with literal glowing eyes filled with tears she didn't dare let fall. The star was always the type to believe crying was a horrible thing. She couldn't cry. She had her sisters to find.
"fell" she let out with a whine and whimper, as her legs began to fail her and make her fall to her knees. Her scarred skin was able to be seen very well in the dark because of how pale it was, but it was a natural quality of her species of star. "from...home..." she felt her body hunch forward as she let out a miserable and weak cry. She would look like a child enough to believe she was one, but it was obvious she really wasn't a child. She was just rather small.

Arcus watched, his heart sinking every moment he saw her like this. He bit his lip and slowly looked around, while he was hated and hunted this girl right now seemed in a worse off place than he was. He did not quite understand what she meant by fell... from home? Was her home in the sky? Surely not, a fall like that would kill someone...right? Then again he had been through a lot of things that likely should have killed him. He sighed and he rubbed the side of his face trying to remain calm as he tried to figure out what to do with this...current situation. It was not something he was used to.
He slowly took a step forward, something he almost never did. He was always on the defensive and backing away from people. There was a lingering feeling of this feeling a trap in the back of his mind. But he pushed it away, his goodwill right now was overpowering that feeling. Like it normally did... much to his annoyance. He slowly walked over, and very gently and carefully lifted her up "...Its...alright...whatever...it is...its...going to...be alright." He said in a slightly awkward tone, not exactly sure what to say to comfort her. He honestly had just picked her up because she looked to be in pain standing on her legs.

Her red eyes let tears fall down although she choked on sobs that pained her throat more than anything; she closed her eyes tightly as she choked on these noises that only came out as croaks and whines, and as she felt herself being picked up by the figure, she noticed things about them she couldn't before as she opened her watery red eyes.
Her petite form shakes and shivered just from holding in the strained sobs, but as she settled in his arms she felt herself begin to cry and break, to the point to actually let out these sobs and wanted to apologize for the horrible first impression. But even though her mouth opened and tried to form these words, all that came out were cries and whines. "my sisters...are gone...I need to find them...and go back home...but I don't know how...and this land seems too scary..." she let out as she cried, appearing absolutely disturbed.

He froze slightly, sisters? Family? Now that was something he never had, yet at the same time he could not help but feel like she was worse off than he was. He never had a family...but she did, and now they were gone. He could not imagine what that was like. And he had to agree, this world was scary. He looked around slowly and he held her in his arms with her head positioned on his neck and one arm around her back and another under her behind to hold her up "...Here, lets get you to some form of..." he paused, a large pit forming in his stomach. He hated people, he hated going into town. Yet she clearly needed... help. And new clothes and medical items. He swallowed harshly, he had to be strong. This girl needed help. "Civilization." he said sounding dreadful as he slowly began to walk through the forest.
The forest seemed awfully...quiet now. Sure there was still the wind but no animals or even bugs were out it would seem. Which was good, nothing would try to eat them. Arcus looked up at the sky "Where did you come from?" he asked curiously, tilting his head as he stared at the sky. He had a pretty good idea... but he wanted to make sure he was correct in his assumptions.

She very slowly calmed down but was able to hear his voice. She looked at him with teary and now puffy eyes as she sniffled, "t-thank...y-you" she said with yet another sniffle. She gave a few deep breaths as she peered up before looking to the male. "I-I live...in the StarKingdom," she said, "n-not a lot of Ground-folk k-know of the kingdom anyway..."
He nodded slowly and he looked around, he could not teleport that kind of distance. He did not even know where that kingdom was but he assumed in the sky judging by the name. He began to walk with her close "...You are welcome." he said softly as he bit his lip, he wondered if her people even knew about him? The infamous 'Arcus' who would end all life in the known universe. "...What's your name?" he asked her softly as he walked, he was tired from all the walking and lack of sleep he got but right now he needed to help her.
She let her lips remain a frown, "Chantel," she said, "though I like being called Chance." The albino star sniffled a few times, unable to think of what to think of this male. This man. She couldn't tell much about him, but she never really knew any ground-folk, as her sisters nicknamed the citizens on the ground, and that was to be expected. He seemed...hesitant, seemingly. It made her almost raise a brow but she didn't. The star still shivered, her skin stinging and even giving some sort of sensations all over her. That fall surely did affect her...thank the moon she survived. She still worried of her sisters, though. She had to find them! She was responsible for them falling with her!
Arcus nodded a little "That...is a nice name." he said gently as he looked at her and he began to walk. He looked to the trees and then back to her warily. "What is the name of your sisters...and uh...w...what do they look like?" he asked curiously as he looked back at the sky "It help me a lot if you told me that." he said wincing slightly, his nose was itchy but he could scratch it because he was holding onto her. It was annoying, very, annoying but he would put up with it.
