(Already in the school- in the same fountain Kat is, in fact.)
(ASHER OVLIER BRANDY!!!!!!!)
(I'm waiting for Asher or Brandy)
(ASHHHHHHHEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR)
(sorry for being so inactive, Luna and I have both been super busy but we're gonna try to be around more!!)
Cass sauntered into the school grounds, a cheerful bounce in his step as always. His satchel bounced against his leg, clad in bright red jeans, and he grinned to himself as he thought of potential new facts and puns to share with Acelynn. Thinking of whom... he looked around for her, but he couldn't seem to find her.
At the fountain, he recognised Kat- briefly, he considered speaking to her, but she seemed to be waiting for someone and he didn't really want to interrupt. Instead, he hovered nearby, waiting for Acelynn to arrive, and bouncing on his toes with anticipation.
He'd heard about the fight, but neither he nor Ace had had much interest in attending- but he'd heard all the gossip minutes after it happened, because if Cass had a superpower, it was definitely hearing any and all gossip fast. And singing awesome showtunes. He was kinda good at that, too, or he liked to think at least.

Kat got out her phone and started texting friends and family still kicking her legs.
(No offence but i forgot you were in dis )

Iya's eyes flicked up at the sound of footsteps- she would have missed it entirely, if she was totally absorbed in her book (which she wasn't- this place was too new to relax completely)- and grimaced slightly at the sight of bright red jeans.
She looked up, inwardly raising an eyebrow at the cheerful smile the male student was wearing. Ugh, a morning person? Lucky. She noticed his constant movement, even when he was standing in place- excited for school? Who would be excited for- and realized she was staring.
Oops.
She hurriedly looked down at her book, cheeks warming slightly. I have to study people subtly, not like a creep. Gah.
Hopefully the guy didn't notice... Though that was highly unlikely. Maybe he would let her be...

(haha we've bot been stalking the thread and trying to find the time to reply!! I don't blame you for forgetting about us!)
Humming to himself and shifting his weight from foot to foot, Cass tried to dance to the song he had going through his head without being obvious about it. There was nothing more embarrassing than breaking out in full theatre choreography for no obvious reason- and, dressed in bright colours and practically drenched in glitter, it wasn't like he wouldn't be noticed if he happened to do a quick solo rendition of La Vie Bohème, or King of New York.
The feeling of eyes on him made him look around, trying to be at least somewhat subtle as he did so. There was a dark-haired girl next to him, who he'd never seen before, and although she appeared to be enveloped in her book, her cheeks were flushed slightly, and he was pretty sure that her eyes had dropped to her book a second ago. Maybe she was just shy.
"Hi!" he grinned at her brightly, speaking quickly in his excitement at meeting someone new. "I didn't see you yesterday! I'm Cass, or Caiside, whichever you prefer. And forget everything you've heard about me because none of it's true! Probably. Unless you've heard good things only, in which case, all of it is true and we'll ignore any further evidence to the contrary. Sound good? Good! What's your name? What're you reading? It looks really interesting!"

Oliver walked upon the school campus, bobbing and weaving through students as he progressively wrote in his notebook, old leather bound style, completed with an assortment of little sticky notes sticking out of the side of the pages, reminders and other things most likely. His white almost puffed out curled hair bouncing as he moved, his movements fluid like dancing.
His eyes looked tired, yet restless. With those strange pink eyes that confounded modern genetics and medicine to this day. He had enough bag beneath his eyes that if he got on a plane he'd have to pay extra for the luggage.
He briefly looked up, and immediately grimaced from beneath his medical mask seeing Caiside, which luckily hid most of his emotions to begin with, other then the tell tale crease of the mask and the look in his eyes. He immediately turned on the heels of his combat boots and attempted to escape from the obnoxious pun making morning person, not really in the mood for his shenanigans.

Iya stared up at the excited student, eyes widened slightly.
Um.
"Er," she said, winced, then quickly retracted her shocked tone. "Nice to meet you, Cai-side-" she tripped up on that a little woops- "... Cass."
She winced inwardly. She was gonna have to practice saying that...
She paused, then shrugged lightly, feeling no need to conceal her identity. "Name's Iya. And I'm just reading about mythology, not too interesting to most people," she said, the last bit stated in a somewhat flat tone. She clearly disagreed with what she just said, but, well... It was true. At least, in her old school. "Just moved here, actually."

If it were even possible, Cass lit up even more at Iya's response. He'd half expected her to tell him to go away, so he was already liking her.
Her monotone saddened him, though- he recognised it all too well as the tone of someone whose passion hadn't been encouraged as much as it deserved to be. He grinned even wider.
"Mythology? That's so interesting! I don't know much about mythologies, really, but it's all very fascinating, and I'm super up for learning more! Which mythology is it about in particular? Or is it more general?" he asked, dropping down next to her on the fountain.
That she just moved here made sense, really: Cass was fairly certain he knew, or at least knew of, most students at this school, through his various channels of gossip and intrigue, so it had rather worried him not to recognise someone at all.

Oh god. Okay. So he wasn't gonna leave.
This was... not problematic, per say, but- okay. She had to play it cool.
She was in public school now, not homeschool. That meant people, everywhere. It also meant socializing.
It also meant friends.
Yes, friends that she had to actually interact with, as in, in person. Not... internet friends.
Okay. She... she can do this. She'd been doing okay, right? She could do this.
... What was his question again? Oh gods no- oh wait. Right. Okay.
Play it cool.
Her face hadn't moved from its neutral expression, as far as she could tell, so... depending on how good this guy was at reading people, she was pretty certain she'd pulled off the chill aura pretty good.
Thank goodness for small miracles.
"Egyptian," she said- if her voice was a little higher, she made no outward indication of nervousness. "In this page, anyway. Book has a few on as many cultural mythologies as it could."

Oliver sat far away from the general public, writing away furiously at some sort of theorem he had conjured up from the depths of his brain.
Speaking of brain, he looked up at the voice that was currently the cause of self genocide of brain cells. Hyperactive Cass had found a new victim to torment with his over energy, judging from the outwards appearance The said subject to this pain seemed cool and calm.
Of course, Oliver wasn't an idiot. This was a facade to create a false aura of calm while in reality the subject is pretty nervous with the way her voice had slightly hitched, and her responses delayed. Creating a idea of having to take her time to think up a thought, obviously trying not to have a break down.
Thank god for having a detective mother, Psychology was one of her strong suits and therefore one of his.
He closed the book and stood upright from his recent sitting position and approached Cass and the new girl, waving a gloved hand off.
"Cass it's the first day for the poor madamoiselle, either calm down or leave her alone. She does not need your destructive energy bouncing off the walls, like some sort of glitter fueled atomic bomb."

(Who else really likes his french and ASHER WHERE THE F ARE YOU I HAVE NOTHING TO TYPE )
(Slept a little longer than I should have, soz )
Asher turned up to school a tad later walking past Cass, Oliver and the new girl, despite his currently foul mood he couldn't help but crack a smile at glitter fuels atomic bomb
He spotted Kat and walked over to her "you all good from that fight or?"

(Sassy French boy. Can't call him a man since in reality he honestly isn't.)
(Lol)
Kat said "im fine just a broken nose thats all" she smiled and contiued to kick her legs. She tried not to blush but alittle sliped her cheeks turned bright red.

About to respond to Iya, Cass jumped as Oliver started speaking. He flinched violently, grin immediately falling away to be replaced with an expression of guilt and apology, and his restless fidgeting stilling entirely.
"I... I'm so sorry," he was careful to keep his tone as quiet and steady as possible, to avoid upsetting either of them further. "I didn't realise I was, um, annoying you so much. I'm not very good at, uh, reading people, I guess." He scratched the back of his neck, embarrassed. "Thank you for... for pointing it out, Oliver. I'm also really sorry about what happened in the library, by the way."
He fidgeted with his shirt cuff, in an attempt to hide the way his fingers were shaking slightly. "I'll, um, I'll leave you alone. So I don't. Yeah." He nodded. "Thank you, Oliver. I'm really sorry, Iya. I hope you have a really good first day, and I haven't. Um. Ruined it."
Careful not to appear too overexcited, he smiled gratefully at Oliver, and apologetically at Iya, before leaving them, trying to cut out all the bounce from his pace so he'd just walk normally, like a normal person, like someone who didn't upset the new girl or spread destructive energy like an atomic bomb. Because Oliver was right, that was what he'd always been yelled at for- for being too loud, too destructive, too energetic. For being too stupid to recognise when people were nervous because of him, or afraid because of him, or annoyed because of him.
He really wanted to go and find Ace, because she didn't mind him, did she? She'd laughed at his puns yesterday, after all- but what if that was because she felt too awkward not to? What if she was dreading coming in today because of him? What if she was hoping he'd get a clue and leave her alone?
Maybe he'd be better off just trying not to upset anyone else- if he just stayed quiet and didn't start conversations, hopefully he wouldn't be too destructive. Yes, that was definitely the best plan.
He headed into the library, choosing a table and pulling out his tablet to start work on his lines, since he still didn't know them. Without anyone else around, he surely wouldn't be harming anyone if he stayed here alone for a while before first lesson.

It all happened so fast. The guy just came in and started talking, and before she could say anything the boy who didn't look at her weird and called her hobby interesting was gone.
... No.
Her one chance at a friend.
$#!%-
"What the hell was that for," she hissed, pitch lower than normal. Her face was- not quite frowning, but her lips were tilted down and her eyes were cold as ice. "He was just being nice. And I will decide when people can screw off and leave me alone." She slammed her book shut, stood up, and stomped off, full of anger and no small amount of guilt.
The other guy must have noticed her nervousness. For the hundreth time she cursed her inability to socialize properly.
... Also. Hopefully she was walking in the right direction.
But it seemed like a pretty straightforward way, and- oh good, she knows where the library is now. For a moment she was distracted, scanning over all the books- and then she spotted him, the boy. Cass.
She cleared her throat, straightened, and casually walked over to the seat beside him, opening her book and tilting her head towards him.
"Mind if I join you?"
... No.

Oliver was, not expecting that reaction. But instead he let out a tsk between his teeth before gripping his hands and walking off towards the direction of the music room. Rambling to himself animatly with his body movement, his French accent only grew thicker with his irritation.
"Cette salope, je ne peux pas le croire! J'essaie de l'aider à partir d'une crise nerveuse et finalement de l'embarras elle-même, c'est comme ça que je suis remboursé? Bien la visser!"
His footsteps seemed loud in the echoed hallways of the music room, and by some sort of ascended power he ended up in the same room with the same piano as before, having already set his stuff down and sat at the bench, his eyes observing the ivories with a sickening amount of aggression, imagining if he stared long enough he could turn back the clock.
Alas it didn't work.
So instead he sat there, contemplating on what to play.
(Translation of the French rant That bitch, I can not believe it! I try to help her from a nervous breakdown and ultimately embarrassing herself this is how i am repaid? Well screw her!)
