Summer is coming to an end. The green leaves will start falling soon, and that ice-cream stand you love oh so much will close once more.
Worst of all, you have to start school at Willow Creek High. Whether you're new here or you've been going here, this is still gonna be one wild ride. Let's just pray that we all survive another dreadful year in the hell we call high school...
It was early in the morning. About 7 AM to be exact. While school didn't start until 8, Jay was one of those people who was up early, only because of her annoying cousin. Jay didn't feel like taking the bus, nor did she feel like walking at 7 AM like some crazy jogger. Instead, she was sitting down on a bench in front of her house. She pulled out a manga from her backpack, and started reading it.
((Y'all can RP with however many lines you like, I just start of sorta-descriptive then I spiral down into words as bland as sink water))

Jo had been walking around the city for an hour now, looking for the school she was to attend. It had proved difficult to find but that was fine. Jo would find it, eventually.
After aimless walking and only the sounds of her footsteps and the wind to keep her company, she found herself on a street with houses. This didn't look like the right way to the school, but Jo continued walking down the sidewalk anyway.

The sound of the footsteps caught Jay's attention. Her caramel eyes looked away from the manga, and made their way towards the wandering girl.
She sighed, not really wanting to deal with people in the morning. Especially this early. However, she wondered if she went to the same school she did. So being the nice person she didn't want to be, she set her manga down and got up. Jay walked over to the girl.

Jo spotted movement out of the corner of her eye and turned to see a girl walking up to her. She halted her movement and awaited the approach, curious as to what the person had to say to her.
"...yo." Jay started off. She had an annoyed tone in her voice. ".,.Are you lost, or somethin'?" She narrowed her eyes. You could tell she didn't feel like talking to anyone.
"Yes I am." Jo said simply, not offering much else. It was clear that the girl in front of her would prefer anything over this current conversation, if you could even call it that.
"Where are ya trying to go?" She asked, tilting her head slightly.
"Wake up, big brother...wake uuuuupp...Alan!"
Alan suddenly felt a strange sensation on his face. It felt like his shirt was being lifted up to his stoma-
Oh no.
"Pbbbbttt!" the next sensation he felt was wet lips on his stomach blowing a raspberry. He shot up in shock and quickly but gently moved the perpetrator.
"K-Kirsten! Stop that already, I'm up, I'm up!" Alan pulled his shirt down and narrowed his eyes at his little sister Kirsten, who had an innocent smile on her face.
"Mommy says that you have to get up early today. Why?" she asked. The boy merely sighed and placed a hand on her head.
"School, Kirs. You're lucky you start next week." he told her before standing up. "Now shoo, I've gotta get ready."
Kirsten stood up and left the room with Alan, who went into the bathroom. After freshening up and grabbing a quick shower, he went back into his room and got dressed. It was still not eight yet, but he liked to get to school early anyway.
"There's leftovers in the fridge if you guys get hungry, and if that's not enough, just sit tight. I'm gonna head to the store tonight to grab some ingredients, so I'll be back a little later. See you guys!" Alan waved to his mother and his sister.
"Buh-bye big brother!" said Kirsten before she dug into the egg sandwich Alan made for her.
"Have a good day at school, Alaaaaaaan." said his mother with yawn. "Don't go bringing any girls home just yet!" A blush spread into Alan's cheeks at her teasing.
"M-Mom!"
"Just kidding, just kidding. Hurry up already!" Alan nodded and started his usual walk to school.
He took a deep breath and released, remembering the significance of the day. He was Junior now. A Junior. A smile began spreading across his lips in excitement. He'd get to see his friends again, as well as make new friends. The thought of that alone was enough to make him impatient to get to school.
After a few blocks, he found himself in the usual residential area that he passed through on his way to school. Only this time, he could see two people talking there.
Ah, that looks like Jay. he thought. But who's that with her?
To sate his curiosity, he approached the two and offered a slight wave. "Good morning. Are you guys heading to Willow Creek?" he asked in his usual friendly tone.

Jo opened her mouth to answer the girl but turned to the new person who approached them. "Willow Creek? Yes, do you know where it is?"
Jay looked at the two. "Yea, I'm just 'bout to go..." She had the same tired expression on her face. She gave a slight wave to Alan. "I was too lazy to take the bus."
Alan nodded. "Yeah, I'm on my way there right now. How about we all head there together?" he offered.
"Sure, why not?" Jay decided to take up the offer. "Nice to see ya, by the way."
Alan let out a slight laugh. "It's great to see you too. Let's make this an awesome year." he said with a confident nod.
"Together? You mean me walking with you two? No thank you." Jo pushed past them and continued on, only to realize she didn't know the way. These people seemed to have at least a vague idea of the school's location so she was better off with them.
Jo turned around and slowly walked the Walk of Shame back towards them. "Fine, let's walk together. Don't expect this to be a regular occurrence, though."

She narrowed her eyes in annoyance. "Meh. I have no promises." She'd shrug. Jay grabbed her things, and started walking. "I will most likely be harassing you for the rest of the year. Ask someone who met me before. For example," She pointed at Alan. "This guy."

Jolene followed along, maintaining a pace behind them. "Harassing?"
"Or, I guess 'bonding' or 'hanging out with' is the correct term." She'd shrug.
Alan glanced back over his shoulder at Jolene. "Hey come on, don't be so distant. Wouldn't it be a nice thing to make friends on the first day?" he asked her.
Jo laughed, but it wasn't a joyful one, instead it was sharp and short brimming with sarcasm and skepticism. "Friends? As if. I'm done with people, and I certainly have no desire to 'bond' or 'hangout' with either of you. I'm more focused on getting to school on time. Are we close to the building?"
Alan frowned and faced forwards again, not saying anything in response to her harsh words.
"Still a bit of a walk." he said quickly, his tone slightly downcast.
