Hello!

I'm not entirely sure of what plot I want to go for yet (I prefer talking it over with a potential partner. Do have some "jumping off points" below.), but I do want a good amount of character development and maybe some feels. I'm seeking a hopefully long-ish term roleplay in one of the following genres/settings/your preferred term here:

• Steampunk (good with lower tech or the era of airships, steam powered limbs, etc.). May consider very small amounts of magic.
• Modern Realism
• Modern Light Fantasy (Think the general awareness of creatures/monsters in the show Supernatural or in the book series The Monstrumologist)

Potential Jumping-off Points:

• There's something wrong in (location). Bodies are turning up. Mostly homeless people, ones who won't be missed. But holy shit are they nasty-looking. Feral dogs or wildlife definitely couldn't have done this. If a human did anything of this sort, they're beyond sick. It's been going on for some time, but it took the mauling of someone who actually mattered to society to bring it up to the media. It's got the authorities stumped. It's also getting more daring and needs to be stopped.
• Pirates are assaulting coastal towns just for the hell of it. Taking prisoners. Stealing cargo. Selling said prisoners off into labor. Our characters can be captured, one can be a pirate and the other can be a prisoner, something can be worked out there.
• Something with the modern Mafia. Hell, I don't even care if the Mafia is somehow tied with covering up supernatural-related business. Might be fun.

Some basic things I'm looking for:

• Equal contributors (no strict leaders/followers)
• Tons of character development
• I may or may not enjoy a good, potentially hazardous/permanently life-altering struggle here and there
• Well-crafted characters
• Someone who will not push romance (If it happens, it happens. Don't force it.)
• Human or very humanoid characters. (No anthro/furry, no kemonomimi (cat girls, etc.), no animals.)
• Good-to-Advanced understanding of spelling and grammar.
• ORIGINAL plots only- no fandom.

Characters I'm mainly looking to use:

• Albert Charlot Coupe - a Mafioso best set for modern realism, but I can likely toss him into light fantasy.
• Rhys Aeron Moon - a big somewhat grumpy drunk. Originally for steampunk, but he has a modern alternate profile.
• My list of other characters is on my profile. Can probably work something out with them.
