Korra wrapped her legs around Kyro's neck then swung down. Reaching out to Daryn, she tried to catch his hand.
"Daryn! Give me your hand!" she yelled over the wind.

Kyro was now flying above just clouds, the wastelands lying beneath them. In the distance, a terra fast approached bur Kyro couldnt land with Daryn under him.

"You've gotta be kidding me!" He yelled up to her, but he reached for her hand, aiming for her wrist so he wouldn't lose his grip. It really wasn't all that different from being on an airship, except that it moved a hell of a lot more, and there was no rope keeping him safely attached to said ship. If he fell from here, he'd probably die. He promised himself he wouldn't fall.

Korra held onto his wrist with a death grip then grunted as she started to pull him up. She refused to let go and let out a whimper of pain as her shoulder wounds reopened. With great effort, she pulled him up onto Kyro's back.

Breathing heavily, she put her hand to his cheek and smiled. "Daryn.." she whispered since they were centimeters apart.
She couldnt be happier now that she had Daryn and Kyro back.

He finally made it up onto the dragon's back, and then wrapped his arms around Korra's waist to hold on. He noticed her shoulder wound had reopened and he hissed in sympathy. His leg throbbed as well from his scrabbling up onto the dragon's back, but at least his wound hadn't reopened.

"I'm sorry," he said, hoping she heard him over the roar of the wind.

Blood was already soaking through the guaze as four of the five puncutre wound had reopened. Kyro dove down onto the terra below and landed lightly as well as smoothly on the ground. They had landed in an open area that was surrounded by forest.

Korra was already feeling lightheaded as she slipped to the ground off of Kyro's back. Kyro gently nudged her as he saw her sway, making her fall into the thick green grass. Though instead of worry for herself, she looked for Daryn and struggled to stand. Kyro used his wing to help her up, which she looked up at Daryn.

"Are you ok?" she asked quietly as she leaned onto Kyro for support.

He had tried to steady Korra, feeling her waver and not liking the fact her shoulder was bleeding through the gauze. But then they landed and he was faced with the impossible task of getting off the dragon.

He threw his good leg over the side of the dragon and slipped down to the ground, landing with a wince as Korra had her own problems.

He turned to look at her. "You should be sitting down, Korra, not standing. I'm fine, but your shoulder has reopened. How do you feel?"

Korra's vision suddenly blurred and she was seeing two of Daryn. Suddenly she was falling backwards and couldnt get a good enough grip on Kyro to keep her standing. Kyro had his wing behind her in a flash to catch her before she hit the ground. Then he gently set her onto the grass.

Korra put her hand to her shoulder and tried to sit up but to no avail. Falling back into the grass with a pained groan. Breathing sorta heavily, she closed her eyes feeling a bit tired. Kyro lifted his wing and put it over her to shield her from the sun. Though left enough room for Daryn to half stand.

Daryn wasn't planning on half-standing. He might be a bit slow in reaching to steady Korra, but he was on his knees next to her when she was on the ground.

"Korra? Korra! Hang in there, can you hear me?" He clutched her hand in one of his own, giving it a small squeeze. His eyes went to her injured shoulder. Hopefully it was nothing serious.

He glanced at Kyro warily. The dragon obeyed and liked Korra but he had no reason to believe it wouldn't turn on him. "Uh, is there a town nearby?"

Korra fell asleep as a wave of tiredness swept over her. She didnt react when he held her hand. Kyro removed his wing from above them then nudged Daryn to his back. Kyro couldnt talk even though that Korra could understand him as if he could.

There was a town on the other side of the terra. He would drop them off on rhe very outside so that no one would freak that there was a dragon.

Daryn hesitated and then shrugged off the captain's overcoat he'd been wearing, placing it over Korra to keep her warm. "I'll be back as soon as I can, Korra."

He then scrambled back onto the dragon and clung for purchase. "Let's make this quick, alright?" he asked the dragon.

Kyro paused and looked back at Korra not liking to keep her alone. Then he spread his wings and walked a few feet from Korra before beating his wings and taking off rather quickly. Flying at a fast pace, he flew over forests, fields, and a couple of farms before coming to the woods on the outskirts of town. He pinned his wings close to his body and they dibed like a bullet into the trees from above. They came to a quick and abrupt stop of the forest floor as Kyro stretched out his legs. His body jolted as he landed and the ground shook for a second then Kyro spread out his wing for Daryn to slide down so he wouldnt hurt his leg

He wasn't any too fond of leaving Korra behind either, but that was all the more reason to hurry up and go.

He yelped a little as the dragon dove downward, and finally once they landed, he had to work to unclench his hands from their current handholds.

And then he gratefully took the proffered wing. "Thanks, kyro." He gave the dragon a pat and then headed for town. Where he could hopefully pick up some gauze and some pain meds. Additionally, if he happened across some food, he'd pick up enough for himself and Korra, as well as a treat for the dragon. He had a feeling they'd be roughing it for a bit.

Kyro waited impatiently and swung his spiked tail into a tree. A low moaning sound emitted as it fell and Kyro kept looking through the trees.

Many people looked twice at Daryn never have seen him before. There were a couple of supplies store and only one called The Sunset had all the supplies Daryn was looking for.

Daryn bought what he could, trying to ignore the looks he was given. Certainly a captain minus an airship would look rather unusual, but he was in a hurry and didn't have time to explain.

Paying for the goods plus an additional pack to haul them, he left at a quick limp, avoiding questions and looks. He found Kyro easily enough.

"Alright, let's get back to Korra, shall we?" He hoped she hadn't woken to panic. Hence why he had left his jacket with her.

Instead of wasting time with Daryn climbing on, Kyro picked him up but his shirt. His teeth, catching on giving him a grip on Daryn. Kyro took off and flew back over to the clearing, circling once before landing feet away from Korra.

Kyro put Daryn down and quickly walked over to Korra, again shielding her from the sun. Korra hadnt woken up once and the guaze had been completely soaked in blood no one spot of white showing. She was looking paler than she should and blood had smeared on the grass around her shoulder.

Daryn waited until he was placed back onto the grass before he hurried over to Korra, kneeling next to her. "Oh no..." he wiped his hand briefly across the blood-stained grass checking how recent it had smeared. And then he rummaged through his pack.

He hadn't bought just pills for pain meds. He tied a quick tourniquet around her shoulder to keep the blood from seeping out, before unwrapping the gauze around her shoulder.

He smeared some anti-bacterial ointment over the injury, before adding a solid wad of fabric over the bite wounds and wrapping it in place. He finished by adding tape, to keep it in place. Only once he was sure it was in place, did he cut the tourniquet and sat back a little.

Kyro smelled raw meat in Daryn's pack do he bent his head down and knocked it over. Sniffing the very small pack, he stuck his tongue inside trieing to take the meat.

Korra stayed asleep for a while longer before blinking her eyes open. The first thing she saw was Kyro's wing and felt a cool breeze. Looking around, she saw Daryn and tried to sit up but her body would barely move for her.
"Daryn.." she said in barely above a whisper.

Seeing the dragon nuzzle around the pack, he carefully went over to extract the meat. "Here ya go, Kyro. Thanks for the flight." He tossed it to the dragon, not wanting to lose his hand in the process.

When he heard a soft whisper, he turned to look back at Korra, and saw she was awake. "Korra, hey, you need to rest. You lost a lot of blood earlier. Are you in pain? I've got some meds if you need them."

Kyro caught it mid air, his jaws snapping shut and swallowing it. Kyro bent his head down and gently nudged Daryn, pushing him over from the power behind it.

Korra closed her eyes again as Daryn started talking. "Im fine..some pain but not much.." she replied quietly.
Then she opened her eyes and looked at Kyro who understood. Kyro used his head to push Daryn so close to Korra they were touching. Korra used her uninjured arm and pulled Daryn down gently, kissing him softly. She was just happy that Daryn was ok.

He wasn't quite ready enough to tackle Kyro back, but he chucked a little as he picked himself back up again. "Easy there, Kyro. I'm just a puny mortal."

And then he was being thrown forward as the dragon knocked him off balance. He nearly pulled away until Korra grabbed him and kissed him. He leaned into the kiss, bracing himself on his hands over her.

"You're okay, I'm okay." He whispered, before kissing her a second time. "Kyro helped."
