When Korra woke the next morning, a thick fog was laid out over the field. Everywhere but where Kyro's wing covered, was covered in dew droplets and the rising sun could barely penetrate the thick white fog.

Korra slowly slipped from Daryn's arms and out from under Kyro's wing. She told him where she was going and for him to stay with Daryn. Then she strapped her thigh holster on and left through the thick fog. Thinking about what she did, she looks down at Daryn's watch then looks at the time before continuing on towards town. Once again she had pickpocketed him and took the watch but they needed money and in order to have it she needed the watch. Arriving in town, she waited around and pickpocketed a few others before carrying out the mission she took on arriving.

When she was done, she headed to the pawn shop and put a bunch of things on the counter including a nice, fancy pocket watch. She got some cash for it all, enough to last them quite a while that pocket watch bringing in the most money then she walked across the street and bought a whole deer's worth of chopped up raw meat. Then she bought Daryn a gift and left. Heading to the doctors office she had them patch up her shoulder. When they were through she left and headed back towards the field.

He awoke shortly after she Korra had left, but made no attempt to follow her. Instead he checked the wound on his leg. It was starting to look better, the skin wasn't inflamed and there was fresh skin starting to cover the wound. He could relax a little and not have to worry about an infection.

He glanced at Kyro, and then at the wing covering their little spot. "You're a good, dragon, Kyro," he said. "You deserve so many treats that I wouldn't know where to get them."

He checked for his watch and found it missing. That Korra! But he smiled a little; whatever she needed it for, he hoped it came in handy. Carefully he got to his feet and then went looking for sticks and twigs. Hopefully, by the time Korra got back, he'd have a nice little fire going.

Korra made it back by mid day and groaned as she sat down. Her feet were killing her since she had to walk across the whole terra in order to get there. Taking out a piece of meat bigger then he head, she tossed it up to Kyro.

Kyro snapped his jaws shut around it and swallowed it happily. He nuzzled Korra, making her laugh and fall over at his strength. Then she noticed Daryn was up and she got up with a grin.
"Your awake! Good morning," she said happily and walked over to him.
She hugged him and smiled, for some reason very happy today.

Daryn grinned and hugged her in return. "Of course I'm up! Airship officers are always up at the crack of dawn. Did you walk all the way to town?" He flinched as Kyro snapped at the meat. "What else did you get?"

And then because he really couldn't help it, he grinned, "You still have my pocket watch, right?"

Seeing Korra up and about energized him as well. And he noted her new wrapping around her shoulder, though he said nothing about it.

Korra didnt hear him as he asked about his pocket watch since Kyro grabbed the back of her shirt with his teeth and hauled her away from him. Korra laughed and rolled her eyes at Kyro's childish antics.
"Kyro! He was asking me something!" she said with a grin.

Kyro snorted then set her back down next to the meat. He nudged her wanting another piece and she shook her head. Then took out another and tossed it in the air for him, which he snapped his jaws around again.

Then while he was busy, Korra ran over to Daryn and grinned then remembered his question. "Ah yes the pocket watch. Well im saving that answer for later," she said and walked past him.
Reaching for Daryn's coat, she picked it up and put it on with a smile. It was a little big for her but she looked cute in it.

Daryn just shook his head as he watched Korra play with Kyro. It amazed him how well the two got along, for all that it seemed Kyro could just as easily have eaten her or him for that matter.

He was a little alarmed by the fact Korra didn't give him a straight answer about the pocket watch, but he didn't jump to conclusions. He'd give her the benefit of the doubt.

He laughed when she tried on his jacket. It was large for her, but she did look good in it. "You wanna be an airship captain someday? You pull off the look amazingly well."

Korra grinned then snapped her fingers and went back to her pack. "I also got you this," she said, pulling out a captain's hat. Then she got up and put it on his head happily. It fit perfectly and looked good really nice on him. Then she slipped off the coat and helped him put it on, smilin afterwards. Daryn looked exactly like an airship captain and it suited him well.

Korra looked up at Kyro for his opinion. Kyro looked Daryn over then nodded once in approval. Korra smiled and turned back to Daryn then bent over her pack and got some new gauze. She also pulled out some new pants that looked exactly like the ones she ripped. Handing them to him, she smiled and felt all happy at the stuff she got for him.
"I was in town and had the money so i thought you would you like the hat. The pants are to make up for the ones i tore in order to fix your leg which you complained about," she said, laughing softly at the memory of Daryn complaining about them.

He laughed in surprise and delight as she fit the hat on his head and then helped him back into his coat. "Korra, you're full of surprises."

He took a turn for her, letting her inspect him, before accepting the pants and gauze. "Ah, thank you, but you really didn't have to do that." He smiled though and caught her up in a hug. "You know, this just means I'll have to find something better for you." He released her and frowned briefly; he didn't even know what she liked! Except for that watch of his.

"Well, we've got Kyro back, you got anywhere you need to be soon? Because I've got just the place in mind if you're interested. It's about two days from here by airship though."

Korra smiled and hugged back then pet Kyro's nose as he nudged her gently. Kyro folded his wings in and listened to the two of them talk.

"I dont have anywhere i need to be. Lets try that place of yours you came up with. Oh and Kyro can fly faster than any ship," she said with a proud smile. Then she packed up all of their stuff and tied it down onto Kyro's back. Then she climbed on and put a hand down so she could help Daryn up.

"Scoot up right agaisnt me and put your arms around my waist. No matter what, keep one arm around me at all times or your gonna take a flying fall off Kyro," Korra gave instructions then warned.

Kyro waited for them to both be ready until he spread his wings and lifted off the ground.

Daryn smiled and took her hand to get up on the dragon. He made quick work of settling up against her, his arms fastening around her waist. He grinned. "You know, I'm not really used to riding like this, but I could get used to it."

He braced himself for take off, his grip tightening briefly around Korra before relaxing some. "If we head southwest, we'll reach it. It's one terra over, centrally located." He told her.

Korra smiled and held onto Kyro as he dove down into a spiral. She grinned and laughed as they dove down through the sky, Kyro folding in his wings to pick up speed. Soon he flared out his wings again and with a jolt, he started flying towards the terra Daryn talked about.

Korra looked back at Daryn to check on him. "You okay?" she asked loud enough to be heard over the wind. Storm clouds gathered ahead but Kyro wasnt bothered by them.

Daryn clung tightly to Korra as they dropped out of the sky like an anvil, only for the dragon to spread his wings and even out into a glide again. His breath and probably his heart had stopped until they were leveled out again, and his grip certainly tightened, but he managed a gasp of laughter at Korra's question.

"Fi-Fine!" he called into her ear; before he saw the storm clouds. He could tell there would be lightning and thunder. Ever so briefly he flicked his hand in the direction of the clouds before re-securing his grip around Korra's waist. "Shouldn't we avoid those?"

Korra smirked and looked back at him. "We are headed stright for them so i would hang on tight if i were you," she said loud enough to be heard as thunder calpped loud enough to vibrate the air. Kyro snorted and dove down again except a little slower.
"The lower we go the safer we will be," she explained to Daryn.

If they could get below the lower layer of clouds the rain wouldnt be half as bad. The winds were a little tough but the lightning and rain wouldnt be as bad. Kyro sped up as another clap of thunder shook the air.

A string of curses that would impress his former airship crew fell from Daryn's lips as they angled toward the storm. Towards the end he began mumbling some sort of prayer about not getting struck by lightning or thrown off by wind. It went without saying that even airships tended to avoid storms wherever possible.

When the wind struck he could feel the dragon lurch beneath him, but that wasn't the worst part. The rain was. Exposed to the elements, even with his hat firmly on his head and his jacket around him, it felt like being lashed with water and in seconds he was drenched. He closed his eyes against the rain and hoped that Korra had a good grip on the dragon. Talking now would be useless as lightning flashed and lightning peale.

Korra squinted against the rain and at some point the colorful hairband slipped from her hair. Then her long hair fell down her back and stuck quickly as it was drenched.

Kyro held strong as they rocketed through the storm. But he felt Korra's disturbance as she cursed and looked around frantically. That hariband had been her moms and it was the only thing she had. It had fallen into the wastelands below and her heart dropped into her stomach, going cold. Korra put her head on Kyro's neck and gripped him tightly. Kyro wouldve tried to comfort her but he ha to focus on flying. The wind picked up a bit and Kyro fell briefly before flying on through the storm.

Korra was completely drenched but she never noticed as she thought about the hairband. She wouldve sent Kyro down after it but Daryn was there and she didnt want to put him at risk. Soon Kyro flew ou of the storm and soared over a very small terra, landing for a break after that storm.

It was odd, sometime during the flight he felt something hit his face. He had no idea what it was, but he reacted instinctively, twisting his head to the side to see a thing of color flutter past him.

There was no way he could catch it, as it fell past his foot into the depths of whatever was below them. He still couldn't loose his grip around Korra, nor would he until they were finally through the storm and the dragon had come to a halt.

"Oh thank God! Land!" he tumbled off the dragon to have his legs buckle under him upon reaching dry land. He practically face-planted onto the ground. His clothing still stuck to him, not quite dry, but neither was it as sopping wet as it had been.

From the flat of his back he looked up at Korra. "Did...you lose something while we were flying?"

Korra sniffled and nodded, keeping her head to Kyro's neck. Kyro turned his head to her and gently nudged her, making her slip off his scales and to the ground with a thud. She sat up and rubbed her head.
"Kyro! Your scales are wet that makes them slippery!" she complained.

Kyro snorted and shook his head before he licked her. His tongue was big compared to her and she got caught on it, being picked up and put in his mouth. Kyro looked in confusion at the place she had just been then around his body to see if she dissappeared there.
"Kyro!" came her muffled call from his mouth.

Daryn was surprised. Was she upset? What had she lost? And then suddenly she landed hard on the ground and just as quickly...vanished.

He leaped to his feet. "Kyro! Spit her out! Drop her!" He wasn't sure what he could do from his side, but he wasn't about to let the dragon just swallow his rider.

Kyro put his mouth to the ground and opened it, Korra falling out onto the ground covered in his spit.
"Gross.." she complained and scowled. "Kyro! No licking!" she added and Kyro nudged her apologetically.

Korra looked at Daryn and smiled embarrassedly. "Thanks Daryn. Now let me see what i can do about finding a pond or something," she said and walked off towards the nearest source of water. She had gotten a good view from the air. When she found a pond, she jumped into the pond and swam around underneath the surface finally washing Kyro's slobber all off. Swimming to the edge, she sat on the bank and sighed thinking about her mothers hairband.

(Lol good i was trying to make it funny)

Daryn glared at the dragon as Korra went to clean up. "You know, you really should be more careful. You could have eaten her. Whether you meant to or not."

Yeah, never mind the fact he was having a conversation with a dragon about eating someone. Kyro could just as easily eat him.

"Don't be getting ideas or anything," he muttered to Kyro. "Now stay there." He wandered a bit behind the dragon--putting it between him and the direction Korra had gone--to give himself some privacy. He took his time while Korra was gone, to strip off his pants and rebandage his leg and then pull on the new pants Korra had gotten for him.

He felt almost as good as new. The wound was healing nicely. He looked at Kyro again. "You have any idea where she dropped that item?"
