Korra smiled then finally let go of him and took his hand. Intertwining their fingers, she put her other hand in her pocket and took out the watch.
"Well now i dont have to steal yours anymore though i might every once in a while just for the fun of it," she teased and stuck out her tongue at him then smiled.
Looking around, she lead the way to another shop and went inside. They spent the rest of the day going to different shops and Korra aweing over all the jewelry as well as shiny things. Then when the sun started going down, she paused as they left a shop and looked to Daryn.
"Ready to go?" she asked happily.
The whole day she had not let go of her new pocket watch, checking the time just to see the inside again.

Daryn laughed, in high spirits with Korra's energy and excitement--and he couldn't remember a time he'd been this happy. "As if I could stop you." His grin turned wry at remembering when she'd first picked his pocket. He hadn't even known until he had patted himself down!
He noticed her looking at her watch and was happy to have bought it for her. The shops passed by in a blur of glitz and glam and sparkle, until it was getting late.
He stifled a yawn--sleep? What was that?--and nodded. "Sure." He wouldn't remember what his ulterior motive was for coming until he was on the airship again.

Korra led the way back to the airship with a happy grin. Kyro gave Korra a slight nudge in telling her he was happy to see her again. Korra took out the pocket watch and showed Kyro who gave an approved nod.
"Goodnight Kyro," she said with a smile then pet his scaly head as he bent down towards her.
Then she kissed his cold, hard snout and shut the loading ramp. Then taking Daryn's hand, she led him to the captains room before letting go of his hand. She flopped down on the captain's bed and strecthed a bit.
"Thank you so much Daryn. I havent been so happy in a long time. That was really fun," she said with a grin as she sat back up to look at him.

Daryn made a face as Korra kissed the dragon--to think he kissed the same mouth!--though in truth he didn't mind. He followed Korra up to the captain's room and sank down on the bed as well with a sigh.
He grinned over at her. "Well, I'm glad. I had a lot of fun too, Korra." He frowned down at the bed; now that he was seated he really didn't want to move. "I suppose I should go find a bed of my own and leave you this one." It was a nice ship and there were plenty of beds to choose from, but that wasn't the issue.
He smiled and gave her a gentle kiss on the cheek. "Sleep tight. We'll set sail tomorrow afternoon probably."

Korra sat up when he suggested moving. "Its never bothered you before ya know..sleeping in the same bed," she said quietly and looked down at the covers then back up at Daryn. Not sure why he suddenly wanted to sleep somewhere else, she felt a little hurt thinking that maybe he didnt like her so much anymore.
Then she knew it was something she did when he kissed her cheek and got ready to leave. "I-I want you to stay.." she said quietly, looking at the bed.

Daryn shrugged, how to explain the complicated matter in which he found himself. He was a man, a sailor, and he had been acutely aware all day how much she was a woman.
"It's not you," he said at length and then stopped abruptly. If she didn't want him to go, then the least he could do was stay. But that was the problem. He wanted to take their relationship to the next level but he wasn't sure Korra was ready for that. He bit his lip, wrestling with his thoughts. Just pretend she's like a sister....
"Korra..." He almost groaned but stopped himself. "I'll stay then." He settled back against one of the pillows and closed his eyes. If she touched him, she'd find him warmer than usual--though not because of any fever. No, he was burning with desire.

Korra looked at him confused as he stumbled with explaining. Then he was agreeing to stay and she was all happy agian. "Yay! Thank you!" she said with a smile and hugged him as he layed back. Though he felt hotter than usual. She brushed it off thinking that maybe it had been a little hot outside for him and that she just didnt notice.
Korra buried her head in his chest and smiled. He made her feel safe and so she stayed holding onto him.

All thoughts vanished when Korra snuggled up against him, laying her head on his chest. For a moment he was only conscious of her proximity and he inhaled sharply. What was wrong with him? He'd snuggled before with her with no problems. Tonight it was just proving to be too much.
He wrapped his arms around her, unconsciously shifting so that he was pressed a little more against her. And gently he began to trail his fingers through her hair.

Korra was surprised as she noticed he was pressing himself a little closer to her than usual but she didnt really notice why. When he started trailing his fingers genlty through her hair, she relaxed and closed her eyes. It felt nice to be loved though she was a few seconds from asking if he was okay. Becuase she didnt want to be hurting him, or so she thought she had when she had hugged him and he inhaled sharply. Looking up at Daryn to check if he was okay, she saw his cheeks were a tiny bit flushed but he didnt appear to be sick.
Korra stuck close to him as she sat up a little bit. "Hey you feeling okay?" she asked quietly as she noticed he really was hotter than usual.

Daryn tilted his head to look at Korra. "Never been better," he grinned, trailing his hand down her back. He was feeling warm, but he knew if he took his shirt off here, he'd only be courting a misunderstanding now. Or a mistake later.
He sighed and lay back to look up at the ceiling, his hand spiralling a little on the small of her back. "You're too much temptation for me, Korra." He glanced at her to see what she made of his comment.

Korra blushed a little bit when he trailed his hand down her back but she didnt protest to it either. Then she smiled when he said she was a temptation to him. Not knowing exactly what he meant, she settled back down with her head on his chest but could surpress the shiver as he made a spiral on the small of her back.
"Temptation huh? You mean like that night back on the Steel and Clockwork?" she asked quietly and looked up at him, referring to when things were starting to get pretty heated but they were too injured to do anything.
Korra thought for a second and she wondered if taking their relationship a little further would be bad. Seeing no down sides to it, she thought it would be a good idea but she didnt say anything about her thoughts yet.

Daryn flushed a little more. "Yes, something like that. I'm sorry." He withdrew his hand from her back and sighed. He shouldn't be pressuring her,not like this.
"I'm glad you liked the watch though." He offered a smile and then nearly sat up with a start. He stopped before he could entirely dislodge Korra however.
"Ah! I remember that old guy at the clockwork place! I think...anyway." He scratched his head and lay back. "The description matches at any rate, the one my father gave me." He frowned. "Tomorrow morning I'll have to ask him about my father. He might know something."

Korra was dissappointed when he took his hand from her back and she bit her lower lip softly. "Why are you apologizing? I wasnt protesting was i? If i wasnt comfortable i wouldve said something," she replied.
Then Daryn was sitting up quickly and almost completely dislodging Korra. She looked up at him as he started talking about the man in the clock shop. "Wait. What description? Why would he know something about your father?" she asked confused and curious. They could get started with the search tommorow if the man at the clockwork shop knew something. Korra had many maps of the skies so she could chart something out if they needed it. Charting had to be something she was an expert at when she was able to read the maps anyhow..

"Oh." He grinned sheepishly. "I guess you would have."
"As for the clockmaker, the only description I ever had was that my father was last seen on this terra, and that he'd made an acquaintance with some clockmaker. And that he, my father, hadn't been seen since. That was just after he had earned that medal I've been carrying around. They sent it to us because my father was not around to accept it in person. And then they labeled him a deserter. But my father wouldn't do that. I don't think. Not without a damn good reason."
He broke off and looked at Korra. "Ah, sorry. I went and said too much. Anyway, maybe the clockmaker knows my father's whereabouts--assuming he remembers him still." For that matter, his father had been missing for several years--if he wasn't injured or captured, there had to be another reason for why he hadn't come home.

Korra listened and sat up, sitting criss cross. "Welli think its a great start. Can i see the medal again?" she asked. Then without waiting for an answer, she reached into his vest pocket lightly brushing his chest as she did so then pulled it out. It shined in the light and was a cold, smooth medal. Brushing her thumb across it, it was really something and she was happy that Daryn had something from his father.
When Korra was done looking at it, she put it back in his vest pocket with a smile. "Its good that you have that," she commented. Then softly kissed his cheek, her soft lips barely pressing against his skin. Then she laid back with her hands behind her head and stared at the ceiling for a minute lost in her thoughts.

He grinned when she went straight to his vest for the metal. She had no sense of personal space, not that he minded. But he softened when he saw her handle the medal.
"It was awarded for his heroism during flight. I don't know what he did to earn it, but that's also partly why I'm interested in tracking him down. I want to know what he did and why he vanished so suddenly after earning it."
He grinned when she tucked the medal back into his vest and kissed his cheek. "Penny for your thoughts?" He offered when she laid back.

Korra smiled as he explained why he wanted to find his father. "I think thats a great reason for tracking him down," she replied.
Korra looked up at him as he wanted to know her thoughts. "I wish you'd kiss me. And the other is that i wish i had a dad who cared," she said then looked back up at the ceiling. Kickin off her boots, they landed with a dull thud on the carpet. Then she gave a soft, relaxed, sigh.

He smiled a little. "I dunno, we'll see what happens if we ever catch up to him. As for your dad," he shrugged, "no one's perfect. But I can remedy the latter."
He followed her example in kicking off his boots and then his vest, unbuttoning the top three buttons of his shirt in the process. A light tuft of chest hair could be seen through the gap of his shirt as he settled down as well.
Once that was done, he waited for her to settle before leaning over and kissing her tenderly on the lips.

Korra sighed and agreed. "I suppose so," she replied quietly.
Korra kissed back gently and put her hands lightly on his chest. Her lips tingled from his kiss and a slight shock went through her body, heating her up a little bit. Slightly shifting so she was pressing a little harder into the kiss, she blushed slightly. Unsure if she should be pressing this, not really knowing what he wanted to do.

Daryn felt her warming to him, and he responded in kind. The next kiss was more passionate and heated, as he brushed a stray lock of hair out of her face and then rubbed his hand down her side. Testing, carefully, what she would allow.
Of course, now his shirt was becoming uncomfortably hot and if things were going to progress... He pulled back after the kiss, just a little to give her a chance to think. If she still could. His mind was mostly blank, with the occasional thought of I'm so lucky to have her running through his mind.
