Korra let out a soft cry of pain as he grabbed her already hurt wrist. The pain shot through her arm and her knees wouldve buckled if he didnt have his arm around her neck. Squeezing her eyes shut and gripping his arm around her neck tightly with her hand, she wouldve rammed her head into his nose like she had first done with Daryn but he ha a firm hold on her injured wrist. Her wrist throbbed painfully, making it hard for her thoughts to come to her.
Kyro was suddenly standing and tense, trying to see if there was anyway to get Korra from Eric. Seeing no way without Eric hurting her, he gave a defeated snort and looked to the floor of the ship. Then to Daryn to see what he planned on doing. Touching Daryn with his tail tip, he could speak to him with his mind as long as they were touching.
I hope you have a plan Daryn because otherwise we're going to be in trouble. he thought to him.
Since Eric's arm was touching the razor sharp ribbons, they cut into his arm but not deeply. Just enough to draw some blood but theyre were mainly flesh wounds.

Daryn flinched at Kyro's words, glancing at the dragon.
Eric saw the movement and he tightened his grip on Korra's wrist. "You and the dragon do anything and you'll regret it."
Daryn had no idea what he could do to help the situation. Maybe get himself to trade positions with Korra...but that would be hard.
"Look, leave Korra out of it. She's not your concern."
"Not my concern? Au contraire. She's everyone's concern. See, she controls the dragon and you won't do anything without risking her getting hurt. So, as far as I see it, she's the perfect hostage. Now, march."
A stray thought went through Daryn's head. If Kyro could trip Eric with his tail, it might buy them some time to get free. He could only hope the thought traveled to Kyro mentally because he wasn't about to voice the idea out loud.
"Fine, fine, I'm going. But Kyro has to go out first. He's too big otherwise."

Eric elicited a hiss of pain from Korra as he grip on her wrist tightened and this time her knees did buckle. But as soon as they did, she couldnt breathe so with unsteady legs she managed to hold herself up. Looking paler than usual, the pain was starting to get to her and she truly hoped that Kyro and Daryn had an idea.
Kyro heard it clearly and when Korra hissed in pain, his head whipped around. His eyes looking sorrowful at Korra then he started out past Eric. As soon as his tail got in line with Eric, it dove in between Korra and Eric. Then swept Eric's legs out from under him.
The sudden movement jarring her wrist and she managed not to make a sound though tears brimmed her eyes.

Daryn waited for that moment, and when Kyro struck and Eric loosened his grip just enough, Darn was there to ensure he didn't affix his grip anew.
"Not so fast, Eric," Daryn growled, holding a knife to the other man's throat. "You threaten me, that's one thing. Threatening Korra is despicable. Kyro should eat you for that."
Eric glared up at Daryn. "Good. He should. Because it's better than being labeled a traitor and a deserter!"
If someone didn't intervene, Daryn was about ready to plunge his knife into Eric's throat.

Korra wouldve fallen to the floor from the pain if Kyro hadnt spread his wing out for her to fall on. Which she did and cradled her wrist, the pain almost unbearable and the throbbing just proceeded to make it worse. Korra then looked up see the situation with Eric and Daryn.
Korra struggled up on unsteady legs then wrapped her arms around Daryn's abdomen. "Daryn. Dont add murder on top of everything else. Im fine.." she whispered into his ear. Then glanced coldly at Eric before sliding her hand lightly along Daryn's arm. Gently placing it around Daryn's then slowly pulling it a little bit further away from Eric's neck but not completely away.
Kyro came back into the ship and paused. Watching carefull, he touched the button that closed the loading bay door.

Reluctantly Daryn allowed his hand to be pulled back from Eric's throat. Eric sighed in relief until the doors closed.
"Wait, you're not letting me go?" He eyed the dragon nervously again.
Daryn growled something under his breath and then turned to Korra. "We should wrap your hand, it'll help stabilize it at least."

Korra relaxed against Daryn and put her chin on his shoulder. "Im fine right now. Lets deal with Eric please.." she whispered sounding pretty drained and in pain. Looking at Eric, a slight look of betrayal showed in her eyes then they went emotionless again. Honestly, Korra thought they could become really good friends.
Kyro gently put his tail around Korra's belly then pulled her away from the two men. Gently he pulled he away from the two men and close to him but left her free to fight if needed. God knows she would never stay down if Daryn or Kyro was in trouble. Though Korra did lean against Kyro for support. Watching Eric warily, she unfortunately had no weapon to use against him but she had a wicked kick.

Daryn held Korra close, taking a moment to savor her in his arms. He had come terrifyingly close to losing her earlier. He released her with a sigh. "I suppose we should take care of Eric. What did you have in mind?"
The only thing Daryn could think of was not only to bind and gag the man, but also to shove him off the airship at several hundred feet. Keeping Eric as a hostage would be no good; the petty officer was too slippery and too unpredictable to make for a good hostage.

Korra thought for a moment then looked up at Kyro for ideas. Kyro looked at Korra then Daryn then Eric before nudging Korra but accidently too hard. Making her stumble a little bit before she tripped over a latch in the floor. Before Kyro could catch her, she fell into Eric and they landed in a heap on the floor.
In the floor was a bronze metal ring attached to the floor. And around it was a large square door in the floor, there were hinges on the opposite side of the latch. Kyro looked at it intrested and pointed to it with a claw before hooking it in and pulling it up the unhooking it from his claw. It was pitch black inside and an eerie cold draft floated up from inside.
Korra scrambled off of Eric almost as soon as she ran into him then was over to the large, gaping, hole in the floor. Leaning over it, she tried to peer inside but saw nothing. "Hey Daryn what if we throw Eric dow-" she was cut off as black tendrils shot out of the black hole. Wrapping around her, she was dragged inside and the latch was shut in the blink of an eye.
Kyro stared in shock at the latchthat had just been open. What the hell were those black tendrils?

Daryn reached over to help Korra up when she tumbled into Eric, remembering last time's event, but Eric didn't have much time but to grab her by the arm to steady her before she scrambled away. His grip hadn't been meant to hold her.
And then with the revealing of the new passage, Daryn grinned--just before Korra was snatched away.
"KORRA!" He leapt forward, intending to dive in after her, when a hand grabbed him by the shoulder.
"Idiot! You want to die? Go get something useful like a weapon and then go in after her." Eric released Daryn's shoulder and then looked at Kyro. "Or send the dragon in after her."
Daryn scowled. "If I'm going in, you're coming with me. Kyro, can you back us up against that thing?"

Kyro looked at the now closed latch then shook his head no. He would stay up here and let the humans get themselves out of this sticky situation. Besides he didnt know how much room was down there so he wasnt sure if he would be able to even fit down there.
Korra landed on the icy floor with a loud thud and body numbing pain flooded through her body. Gritting het teeth, she took in a shaky breath and tried to get sense of where she was. This was no time to be worrying over injuries.
Looking around, she saw nothing but an endless, pitch blackness. The ice cold draft licked at her skin and seeped into her bones as she started to sit up since the pain in her body had subsided. But before she had gotten far, a cold, circular, metal was pressed against her forehead. A very familar cold, cicular metal. The click of a hammer being brought back made her stiffen. Her colt 1911 was being used against her.
"Good bye. Daughter," a deep, familar voice spoke in the black. The word daughter sounded forced and bled venom.
A muffled, single, shot was fired from the opening that Kyro had reopened. Kyro froze and looked up at Daryn and Eric.

(The End? j/k)
The muffled gunshot turned Daryn's blood to ice. Heedless of his danger, Daryn turned to Eric. "Get it open, now!"
Eric didn't hesitate. He lurched for the hatch, throwing his weight into opening it. What was easy for the dragon took some effort on his part. And as soon as it opened with a thunk, Daryn was already throwing himself into the cavern.
He landed on his feet, inhaling sharply at the coldness. "Korra? Korra!"
Eric glanced at the dragon. "Just so we're clear, If they get eaten, it wasn't my fault."

(nah i wouldnt end it here lol)
The light from the deck above, lit up the large open deck below. The captain was standing over Korra with a gun to her head or so it looked a first glance. Korra had used her injured wrist and at the last second, moved the gun so the bullet had just left a scrape along the side of her head. Korra was taking in shaky breaths of air from that almost death bringing shot.
As she heard Daryn, her eyes darted in his direction then back up at the captain. The captain looked really pissed that he hadnt killed her with the first shot. Bringing up his foot slightly, he pushed down hard on her injured wrist pinning it to the ground. Korra cried out softly as he presse down onto her wrist but didnt take her eyes off his murderous ones. "Daryn..leave." Korra said quietly and in a strained tone. The captain hardly noticed anyone besides them was in there.
Kyro looked at Eric then snuck his tail behind him and shoved Eric forward until he was falling down into the hole. Kyro watched Eric fall and grinned at his work.

Eric landed with a yelp, cushioned only by Daryn's body as both men went sprawling. Although Daryn was quickly shoving Eric off.
"Korra's down here, and I don't think she's alone," Daryn told Eric, unconsciously falling back into his subordinate role.
Eric frowned as he brushed himself off. "Then go save her. You're the fool who dives into ropes and rigging all the time."
Daryn's eyes lit up briefly, not that anyone could see in the dimness. "Kyro? Could you throw down some rope?" He called softly up to the dragon.
Eric, meanwhile, was cautiously moving forward, getting a feel for what was down here.

Kyro tossed down rope a minute later and attached to that was a light. The light illuminated the room and it was almost one huge freezer and pretty bare except Korra and the captain on the far side. The captain pulled back the hammer on his gun again and bent down to where he was almost sitting on her.
"You knowi hated the fact they your mom and I were having a kid. I hated kids. But i have to say that when they brought you to me wrapped in the pink blanket, you were the cutest bundle i had ever seen. But after they told me you had killed your mom, you became the thing i hated most. So many times i had tried to kill you but they never worked. After all you only deserve the same punishment as your mother right?" the captain said to Korra. Korra's eyes brimmed woth tears but she refused to cry so she listened. "Oh and guess what? I payed those pirates to kidknap you," he added with a wicked grin.
Korra stared up at the captain. So many emotions ran through her that she wasnt sure what she felt. The captain placed the barrel of the gun on her forehead again and pulled the hammer back. "And you know what? I was overjoyed at the fact you stole my ship. Just cause now i would have a chance to get you killed," he added the last part. Then shook his head. "Well theres the whole truth. And now i'll have to say good bye. But i dont even think you deserve that," he growled. Putting his finger on the trigger, he slowly began to squeeze.

The man who claimed to be Korra's father would not have a chance to shoot Korra. Eric, having made his way slowly closer during the monologue, lunged at the man, going for the gun.
He struck bodily, throwing his weight into the gunman with a slight grunt. His main objective was not to save Korra, however, but to get the gun. Once he had the gun, he could probably leave the ship. Or commandeer it back to the rest of the fleet.
"Not so fast," Eric said, attempting to pry the gun out of the man's hands.
Daryn, meanwhile, had grabbed the rope and was hurrying over, ready to restrain whoever was the bigger threat.

Korra relaxed as the captain was taken off of her. Her wrist throbbed painfully and she sat up quickly, going over to Eric. Grabbing his hand, she looked into his eyes with all seriousness. "This is your captain Eric. Are you really going to defy him?" she asked him.
The captain looked at Korra in shock that she was helping him and was confused about wether he should blow it off or take it seriously. Then he got back into his captain's seat and looked at Eric. "1st class petty officer Eric. Get off of me now," he ordered. Then the captain punched Eric hard in the cheek just for good measure. It was hard enough to get Eric off of him. Which he then stood up and straightened out his clothes.
Korra took her hand away from Eric's and sat back as she started to feel lightheaded. Though she shook it off and looked at all three of the men. Before standing and walking over to Daryn, whom she hugged tightly. Right now she could careless about the other two in the room and just wanted to be close to Daryn. Burying her face in his shoulder, she calmed her heart down which was in a panic state still.

Eric froze when it was revealed to him that this was his captain. And then the punch knocked him backwards. He was too stunned, too surprised to react, his face stinging from the blow.
"No...no way. What are you doing off the ship?!" Eric's grip tightened around the gun, but he kept it aimed at the floor. He wasn't ready to commit mutiny just yet.
Daryn wrapped his arm protectively around Korra, his blood turning cold. This was bad news all around. Still, he couldn't keep silent.
"I never meant to abandon the ship," he told the captain. "I meant to return. Honest. But I have to find my father. I need to find him. He's not a deserter, I know he isn't."

The captain looked at both young men then his eyes landed on Korra again. Except instead of uncontrolable hate they showed something Korra thought she would never see: Respect and love. Then he turned to Eric. "I will go where i please petty officer. Now hand me that gun since it belongs to my daughter you have no right to be carrying it," he ordered then added the daughter part in a caring tone except Korra wasnt really paying attention.
Korra was staring at the man dressed in all black in the far corner. Red eyes stared straight at the four humans on the other side of the room then they connected with Korra's. Right away, Korra knew thats where the tendrils had come from and that man wasnt human. His cold aura licked at her skin but it was so cold it burned. "Daryn.." she whispered but no one really payed attention to her.
The captain then turned to Daryn. "We will discuss you abandoning the ship later on petty officer Keeble," he said in a serious tone. Then he noticed Korra not paying attention and walked closer to Korra and Daryn. Reaching out to touch Korra in order to get her attention.

Eric frowned and hesitated. An order was an order, and reluctantly he handed the gun over to Korra, noting that she was distracted.
He turned to look where she was looking, and sucked in a sharp breath when he saw the creature.
Hope flared in Daryn at being called a petty officer by the captain. Maybe he hadn't lost everything? Maybe he could still reclaim his position onboard the ship? But what about Korra?
He nodded to the captain, swallowing back his optimism. "Of course. Um, Korra?" he noted that she hadn't taken the gun that Eric offered to her. "What're you looking at?"
