Korra laughed a little at the mess he was in then nodded. "Yes i'll do that before i get in," she replied with a smile.

Then so saying, she got up and turned off the water as it reached three quarters of the way up. Then she grabbed two towels and filled a bowl with water before bringging it back to Daryn. Handing it to him, she went over to her rucksack after and picked out tight black short shorts and a half shirt that only covered her chest leaving her stomach showing. Then she retreated to the bathroom and slid the doors shut but left them open a crack so she could still hear. Undressing, she slipped into the hot water and sank below its surface relishing the feel.

Staying in there for a good thirty minutes, she finally moved to get out then a cold dread hit her. She had forgotten to put auto pilot on! Grabbing her towel, she wrapped it around herself then quickly ran out of the bathroom then the room. Rushing to the control room, she checked their course and realized they were half a day of course!
"Damnit!" she said frustratedly and quickly turned the wheel back to where they need to be going then set auto pilot. Closing the window as well, she returned to the room with a sigh.

Well, since Korra was taking a bath and the door was cracked open, she'd probably hear his winces as he wiped his leg and the injury clean. Maybe tomorrow he'd be up for a bath, but at the moment, he just wanted to collapse.

With his leg looking more or less the proper tanned color instead of a pinkish mess, he sagged back in the bed before hearing a splash from the bathroom.

He cracked an eye open and then felt the ship adjusting its course. Oh, he should probably have told her about the chain to keep the wheel locked in position. He'd wait for her to return and when she did, he looked up only to flush and look away again.

"Ah, you, ah, might want to put some clothes on. Also, there's a chain that will fit over the top of the wheel, you can hook that in place and it'll keep the ship on a more direct route."

Korra blushed madly then quickly went into the bathroom shutting the door behind her. She dressed in her night clothes then walked back out, her shoulder feeling better and she was feeling more tired as time ticked on. Before she crawled in bed however, she went back to the control room and pulled the chain he was talking about.

Then upon returning to the room, she shut off the lights without a warning and crawled into the captains bed. Curling up under the covers, she was out in a matter of seconds. Though shortly after falling asleep, she was snuggling up to Daryn.

Daryn had closed his eyes and leaned back against the pillows while Korra went to get changed. He was on the edge of sleep when he felt her climb into the bed and he cracked an eye open.

He relaxed again when she seemed to fall asleep quickly, although he was unprepared for her to snuggle up next to him. For a moment he stared up at the ceiling, trying not to do anything. He was stuck on his back or he might have rolled onto his side. Instead he settled for putting his arm around her before drifting off into sleep.

Korra woke up to the ship shuddering violently and the sound of quiet, thudding in the hallways. Bounty hunter! she thought instantly and sat up quickly. Then she blushed madly as she found herself snuggled close to Daryn and his arm around her. Slowly, she moved away from him and slipped off the bed.

Korra knew that the captain would eventually send hunters after her. After all, she was a complete nuisance to him and had been since birth. The captain had always wanted a boy but instead wound up with a girl. He instantly regarded her as trash and tried to have her killed since she was little. Her mother had died when having her so the captain had always hated the child afterwards, thinking she deserved the same treatment.

Shifting through her rucksack, she found the ammo for her gun and loaded it as well as grabbing her clockwork handled dagger. Quietly creeping out of the room, not putting on her shoes, she was as silent as the grave. Listening, she heard two sets of footsteps but felt three presences. That meant they had an animal of some sort with them and it was probably a tracker. It would have her sent and not Daryn's so she quickly ran down the hall leading it away from Daryn. As soon as she rounded a corner, something leapt at her snarling and snapped its jaws onto her shoulder.

Korra cried out in mostly surprise and didnt feel the pain as her adrenaline started pumping. Raising her gun to the animals head, she shot off four rounds as it went limp she pried its jaws away from her shoulder. Blood ran down her arm as she stood and it fell in ribbons down to her finger tips. Dripping onto the floor, she quietly crept down the hall accidently leaving a trail for the bounty hunters to follow. Yet she stayed far from Daryn.

He woke briefly when Korra got up, but only to settle back down. His leg throbbed a little, but that vanished as soon as he heard gunshots

What was going on?! He swung his legs over the side of the bed and was launching himself forward before remembering his injury. At which point, his leg buckled beneath him and sent him sprawling.

"Korra! Where'd you go?" He shoved himself upright and looked for anything to serve as a crutch. He hobbled his way to the closet, grimacing in pain, before finding a rather large cane; that would work. He grabbed for his gun-knife and then crutched his way to the door.

He peered out. Nothing. With a scowl, he made his way to the control room, wondering if maybe she had gone there.

Korra could here boots pounding on the carpeted hallway as they ran her way. She knew she would draw them out by shooting their damned pet. Turning the corner, she bent over backwards to avoid an ax being thrown. It landed with a dull thud in the wall behind her and stuck in deep.

"Looks like we found our target. We seem to be the first," a man with black hair said. A wicked grin alighting his face.
Korra stood back up straight and took out her gun, not waiting a second to start firing. One bullet took the black haired man by surprise which was his fatal mistake. It dug into the middle of his forehead and he fell to the ground dead. His partner however was prepared and he ran at her, dodging all bullets.

Baring a knife, he swung it at her bare stomach but Korra drew hers and met his with a parry. Grabbing his arm, she held it away from her and sliced into his shoulder but he seemed less than fazed. He grabbed her bit shoulder and squeezed, blood seeping through his fingers. Korra cried out in pain and fell to her knees, trieing to escape his hold.

Daryn heard more gunshots and he cursed as he forced himself to go faster. His wound reopened to bleed, but at this moment, he didn't care. If Korra were taken or killed, there was no way he'd be able to man the ship into a landing.

His gun-knife quivered in his hand as he pushed himself forward, and finally he could make out two people in the distance. At least two. And one of them was collapsed on the floor in a heap.

"Korra!" He aimed and fired twice. "Leave her alone!"

The bounty hunter fell to the ground in front of her and yelled as a bullet hit his vital organ. Korra backed away and put her hand to her right shoulder, wincing in pain. Blood pooled around her finger tips and she used the wall to help herself up.

"Daryn! You shouldnt have moved," Korra said, all her concern towards him. She saw his leg bleeding and used the wall to help her stand as she made her way towards him. She was feeling dizzy but was more concerned about getting back to the room and stopping the bleeding on Daryn's leg.

The bounty hunter groaned and put his hand on her ankle. "No.." was the only thing he got out before Korra put two bullets in his head. Staggering over to Daryn, she shook her head to clear it then motioned towards the room.
"Lets get back so i can fix that up for you," she said quietly.

Daryn lowered his revolver and looked at Korra. "Are you okay? Is that the last one on board?" He wasn't keen on moving until he was sure that the threats were annihilated.

"I heard gunshots and you were gone, what else was I supposed to do?" But he could see that his leg wasn't in any better shape than yesterday.

He was leaning heavily on his borrowed cane however, until he saw her shake her head. "You're sure you're okay?" He reached towards her, wanting to check that she was okay.

Korra had kept her shoulder and arm out of sight for a good reason. The last thing she wanted was for him to be worried about her when he could hardly walk himself.
"Im fine. Lets get back to the room before your leg gives out on you," she replied and offered a small smile.

Korra headed back to the room but stayed next to Daryn the whole time to make sure he didnt fall. "Theyre the only ones... Daryn i need to tell you something before this gets to serious. Your captain is trieing to kill me and he will do so no matter the cost," she said as they got back to the room.

As they entered the room, Korra stumbled slightly but quickly regained her footing. With an embarrassed smile, she stood aside to let Daryn in.
"Sorry. Tripping over my own feet," she said and laughed quietly but it was kind of a nervous laugh as if she wasnt telling the whole truth.

Daryn hobbled painfully down the hallway, listening to her. "Why is he so adamant about killing you? Is it because you're a pirate?"

He reached forward to grab her arm when she tripped. "Easy there." He knew she was keeping something back, but he wasn't sure what or why. And he still wasn't buying the fact that she was okay.

He hobbled over to the bed and sat down with a sigh, propping the oversized cane beside him. "You can tell me, Korra. I've... I've already thrown away my career. It's not likely that the captain will hire me back."

Korra looked at the floor as she heard him say he already threw away his career. "Im sorry..its my fault you threw it away.." she said quietly.
Forgetting to keep her injured shoulder hidden though, Daryn could see it if he looked. There several puncture wounds from the animals teeth and blood was slowly falling down her arm in ribbons.

"I have told you enough of a sob story as it is with Kyro being taken away," she said with a smile then leaned against the wall for support mainly. Picking up the first aid kit with her uninjured arm, she brought it over to the bed and set it down. Then she took out some new guaze and unwrapped the old. It was still bleding so she took another cloth and held it against his wound firmly.

Daryn saw her shoulder and winced. "What happened to your shoulder?" he would have jumped to his feet--but at the moment he would only have fallen onto his face. "You really should take care of that first."

He grit his teeth when she applied the bandage to his leg. "I got this, take care of your shoulder." He placed his hand over hers, pressing softly. "We can't have you passing out either. Do you need me to wrap it?"

Korra visibly relaxed and nodded, not being able to stay concious for much longer. She surprised herself when she took Daryn's hand in her own as he put his over hers. Holding onto it for a second, she quickly let go and blushed.
"Sorry," she murmured.

Then she took out a rag and wet it with some water before cleaning around the many puncture wounds. When it was clean and starting to bleed again, she handed Daryn a roll of guaze then moved closer to him so he could wrap it.

Korra gently finished wrapping his leg as she waited on him then took the rag. Cleaning off his leg with her uninjured arm, she gently wiped the blood off his leg. "Oh and they had an animal with them. Thats what happened. Though i didnt stick around to see it," she said mainly as a joke.

Grateful for a distraction from his leg, Daryn gently dabbed at the wound on Korra's shoulder. Were those bite wounds? "What kind of animal did you fight?" he asked her, as much to keep her from passing out as to learn what else might be on the ship.

He wrapped the gauze around her shoulder, covering the wound easily enough. The blood was already clotting at least, so he wasn't too worried about it. He finished, tucking the end of the bandage into the rest of the wrap. "There, all better." On impulse he leaned forward just enough to give it a kiss, and then pulled back.

Korra winced slightly and flinched as he dabbed at the puncture holes. Though she was very grateful to him for helping. "I think it was a wolf but i didnt really pay attention," she replied quietly.

Korra gritted her teeth as he wrapped her shoulder up then shivered as he kissed it. Quite frankly, she was taken off guard when he kissed her wrapped up shoulder but she wouldnt lie and say she didnt feel better afterwards. In fact she felt alot better afterwards and smiled a little.

After finishing wiping all the blood from his leg gently, she layed back slowly. Sighing with relief as her head hit a pillow.
"Your captain is my father. He always hated me and treated me as scum. He didnt even bother to try and save me as a pirate kidknapped me when i was about seventeen. So i was stuck on that ship till i could make it on my own or when i found Kyro that is," she gave a quick summary of her life.

He grinned at her shiver and then was distracted from her lying back as he pulled his leg onto the bed. A sharp pain traveled up his leg but he bit back the wince.

"Your father? My captain?" He whistled. "So that explains the dragon and his wanting to get rid of it. What happened that got you kidnapped by pirates?" But he frowned. His captain did have an unnatural aversion to pirates in general; they'd hunted them down even when they weren't attacking. Had the captain been trying to find, or worse kill his own daughter?

Korra looked at the ceiling then over at Daryn. "My terra was relativly small and was in a bad part of the skies. Pirates often passed by, but this time it was different. A new set of pirates and a perfect small terra unguarded it was the perfect setting. My father left me without a weapon or any means of defending myself as he sailed of into the open skies to start a crew of his own. I was outside taking a small walk down to a nearby pond when a shadow covered the path i was walking on. The next thing i know im being bound and taken onto a pirate ship," she replied.

Then with a sigh, she closed her eyes and tried to take her mind off of what happened after she got on the ship.
"Yes your captain is trieing to kill me now. He will use whatever means necessary to do so," she said quietly.
It truly was her fault for getting Daryn into this mess and now she had to get him out. A plan already coming to mind, a silent tear fell down her cheek.

He cringed at the idea of what Korra must have gone through. "I'm really sorry, Korra." He hesitated briefly and then reached to clasp her hand in his own. She didn't have to explain what happened on the ship; he knew from rumors what usually occurred. He squeezed her hand gently, trying to give her reassurance. "I wish I had been there to stop all that."

He stared up at the ceiling now, falling silent. If this really was the same captain he was working for, he wondered if it was worth working his way up to the top. What was the point of becoming a captain if he lost his humanity in the process? Did that have anything to do with his father's sudden treason?

"I would never do that," he said suddenly, passion turning his voice hard. "I'd never abandon anyone who was under my command."
