Korra closed her eyes as he put his arm around her and barely managed to supress a shiver as he rubbed his thumb on her arm. Then she blushed at his question and decided to answer it truthfully.
"How you feel about me.." she answered quietly.

Her thoughts had moved on to the same subject she had been wondering about for a day and a half now. Though she had been to afraid of the answer to say anything until now. Now she wanted, no, needed to know the answer.

Surprise crossed his face. "What I think of you?" He obviously hadn't been asked that kind of question before and he fell silent for a moment.

"Well," he switched from using his thumb to trailing his fingers up and down her arm. "I think you're an incredible young woman. You're smart, and sensitive and pretty. You know what you want and you go after it, which is something I admire in a person. And..." he hesitated briefly before flushing. "I like you. A lot. Probably more than I should."

Korra blushed but smiled, happier then she probably had ever been before. She was actually liked but someone..no.. by Daryn. She put her head on his shoulder and couldnt stop smiling. When he trailed his fingers up and down her arm she shivered slightly but didnt mind it.

"Thats great to know...." she whispered and relaxed against him. If he wasnt hurt, she wouldve probably tackled him in a hug but he was injured and she would hate to make it worse for him.
"Your an amazing man, Daryn. You are probably the bravest man i know and you have compassion which is something hard to find these days. You were willing to help me even though it cost your job and thats never happened before. Your handsome and smart. I definitly like you a lot and i know its more than i should," she replied quietly.

He snorted. "I'm really not that brave. I'm actually just a poorly disguised coward." He sighed and paused in his caresses. "I'm looking for my father who was said to have turned traitor to our country. All I know is that one day he left on an airship and never returned."

With his other hand, the one not wrapped around Korra, he reached into his vest and pulled out a medal. "This was my dad's, a medal for saving his crew and ship from a really bad situation. I was hoping by joining a crew I could find him again. But I don't think that's going to happen."

He cleared his throat. "Anyway; I think you're the best thing to happen to me in a long time. Probably ever." He smiled at her and resumed his caressing once again.

Korra pulled away a little and looked at Daryn then at the medal. "We'll find him," she said quietly and smiled.
Then she held the medal for a minute before placing it back into his vest. Taking out his pocket watch at the same time. Though this time she only looked at it and opened it before returning it to his pocket.

Korra didnt lean back on him though and looked at him before kissing his cheek softly. Her smooth, soft lips just barely pressing onto his cheek and she closed her eyes for a brief second.

It was a strange feeling, when her hands lightly brushed his chest to put the medal back into his vest pocket. But when she claimed his pocketwatch again, he had to shake his head a little.

"What is it with you and that watch?" He asked, his eyes on her and not the watch.

He missed her warmth when she pulled away from him, but he was quickly distracted by her kiss. Warmth flooded through him again and he turned his head towards her, trying to meet her lips with his own.

"I like it. Its..nice," Korra replied with a smile.

Korra blushed and was surprised when his lips met hers softly. Then she closed her eyes and relaxed, leaning furhter into the kiss. Putting her hands on his chest lightly. The kiss made her lips tingle and was spread with an unusual calm that she hadnt felt before, but it was a wonderful calm.

He grinned at her comment. "I should think so; I paid a pretty penny for it." But he wouldn't wrest it back from her.

And then he was distracted by the light weight of her hands on his chest as she deepened the kiss. He responded accordingly, his hand traveling from her arm to the back of her neck to keep her close.

With the heat coursing through his body, he tried to sit up a little further to shrug off his vest. He lowered his hand briefly from Korra's neck and broke the kiss to gasp for air. His vest would flop behind him, but he'd keep the shirt on, for now.

Korra pocketed his watch in her back pocket and smiled.

She was blushing madly by this point and she slid her hands up to his shoulders. When they broke apart for air, she looked at his eyes and smiled a little. Korra watched as his vest slipped off his shoulders, moving her hands as it did, and landed behind him.

Then she kissed him deeply and placed her hands back on his shoulders lightly. Heat was starting to course through her body and she felt..excited about something. She hadnt felt this way before but she liked it.

He would get that watch back later, maybe.

His green eyes glistened with an intensity that put emeralds to shame. And finally the dratted vest was gone. He gently clasped his hands to her arms, searching her eyes, almost afraid of the answer. He didn't want to move too fast, though he didn't think that would be a problem given his leg.

He leaned back again when Korra kissed him, wrapping his arms around her. He could stay like this forever.

Korra's eyes had the same intensity yet they showed a warning as she glanced at his leg.

Korra forgot about her shoulder as she put her arms around his neck then quickly retreated with a pained gasp. She pulled away a little with an embarrassed smile.
"Sorry.. i forgot about my shoulder," she whispered.

Then she kissed him again except softer this time. Korra didnt want to move to fast either seeing as though their injuries had decided to make it difficult on them. So she would be fine with his kisses until they were out in the clear with thier injuries.Korra liked the feel of his arms around her so she stayed close so he could keep his arms around her.

At her gasp, he pulled back as well, worried. "I'm sorry. We really can't push this can we." He sagged back into the pillows with a groan. "Figures."

His arm still wrapped around her though, he gently followed the curve of her back down to her rear pocket--and recollected his pocket watch, an copped a feel as well.

Well, he was only human after all.

Korra smiled and laughed softly. "Its ok Daryn. They'll heal soon enough," she reassured and layed down a bit. Putting her head on his chest and her uninjured arm around his abdomen.

Korra shivered as he ran his hand down then blushed as he put his hand in her rear pocket. Jumping a little as he felt as well as took his watch back. Rolling her eyes with a smile, she sat up carefully then slipped out of his hold and off the bed.

Walking over to the bathroom, she ran bath water and slid the doors shut. Her shoulder was throbbing and she thought a nice bath would help. Undressing, she slipped into the water and relaxed with a sigh. Putting her head back on the edge of the tub, she soaked for a bit.

He sighed as he watched her head to the bathroom and turned the water on. He probably shouldn't have done what he did. But oh well.

He shifted a little and then sat up again to observe his leg. As if resting for fifteen minutes would make it heal faster. It was red and puffy and sore. Like he'd been shot. He laid back again with a sigh, and closed his eyes briefly. Without meaning too, he drifted off to sleep; the pocket watch clutched loosely in his hand.

Korra got out several minutes later then snuck out and over to her bag with a towel wrapped around her. Grabbing some clothes, she ran back into the bathroom and changed then started a new bath for Daryn. Walking back into the bedroom, she leaned down and kissed Daryn gently.
"Daryn," she murmured trying to wake him up.

She took the watch and set it on the bed gently then deweaponized Daryn knowing he had some on him. Then she picked up his fallen vest and set it neatly down with his other stuff. She took out his fathers medallion and looked at it, touching its cold metal surface.

He blinked his eyes open groggily. "Yeah ma?" He didn't want to move, not least of all because he was finally comfortable and had been asleep. And then he realized what he just said and he flushed and struggled to sit up. "Oh, Korra, sorry." He smothered a yawn with his hand. "What'd you wake me for?"

He realized that she was looking at his father's medallion, but he couldn't remember if he'd given it to her earlier and never put it back, or what. He wasn't particularly possessive of it, so long as she gave it back at some point.

Korra softly laughed as he called her ma then she pointed to the bathroom. "Bath. Now," she ordered gently and smiled. Putting his fathers medallion back, she stood up and offered him a hand to take.

Not that he really needed one, she just knew that it would make his leg feel better after a few minutes. The warm water was soothing but she also needed him out of the room so she could rewrap her shoulder. Which required her shirt to be off so she would rather not have him in the same room as herself. It would provoke feelings they couldnt have as long as they were injured.

Daryn took Korra's hand, trying to forget about the slip of his tongue. At least she had a sense of humor about it. He managed to get to his feet before making his way towards the bath. He really did want one, for all that he had tried to convince himself no.

He ran the bath water to a suitable temperature and then once it was filled, tried to figure out the best way into the bathtub without killing himself. Well, first of all he had to strip. His shirt was easy enough, the pants less so. But he worked them off easily enough and then hobbled into the water, thankful the injury was just above his knee and not lower.

With a hiss of pain, he sank down into the water and leaned back. The bath was a mixed blessing, as he felt the two days' worth of sweat and blood finally lifting free of him.

Korra slid the bathroom doors shut and didnt look as he stripped. She left the door open a crack so she could hear if he needed something. Then sitting on the captains bed, she removed her shirt and unwrapped the old guaze. Taking out a new roll, she wrapped it as best as she could before tucking in the loose end and putting her shirt back on.


Laying back on the bed with a sigh, she picked up Daryn's fathers medallion and ran her thumb over its metal surface. For the first time, she wished her father cared for her but then the feeling was gone as the thoughts of what he let happen to her came back. She carefully set down his fathers medalling on top of his vest before getting under the covers.

Korra waited on Daryn to get of the bath and listened to the silence of the ship.

As soothing as it was to just soak, Daryn had to get out at some point. With a reluctant sigh he pulled the plug and watched as the water drained most of the way before climbing to his feet.

He still favored his injured leg but he felt a lot better. Toweling himself dry, he wrapped the towel around his waist and then eyed his shredded clothing. Well, he could put them back on, but since he'd given up his career, he might as well go all the way.

He swung the door open to the bathroom, realizing only then that it had been slightly open the entire time. Oh well, his fault for not double-checking the door. And then he limped his way to the captain's closet, where he rummaged around for some clothing.

A few minutes later he reappeared wearing the basic captain's wear, loose pants that covered his injury but not tightly. "How's your shoulder?" he asked, seeing that Korra had rebandaged it.
