"Oh..." Atl deflated at the news. "How long?"

"Oh..." he nodded. "Okay. How make?" He asked curiously.

"I'll need one of your scales."

He cocked his head. "Okay...?" He looked down at his tail. "Which give?"

"Any, it doesn't matter."

He nodded and ducked his head under the water. Inspecting his tail thoroughly for a few minutes, he eventually come back up with two of the best-looking scales he could find. "Got them!"

"They look great buddy!"

Atl gave a proud smile before extremely carefully handing them to Alex.

"Their so soft and warm."

Atl's cheeks reddened when Alex told him that. "...Thanks..."

"Don't worry bud, you'll practically have a family soon."

He looked to the two girls, looking hopeful. "...Really?"

Jamie shrugged. "Sure." Yume smiled and nodded her head.

His eyes went wide as saucers, tears welling up. He... he was going to have a family? Really?

"It's not like we got lives of our own right girls?"

"We really just wander and explore. We're basically on the run," Jamie explained.

The mermaid just gave a little nod, not saying a word. He still didn't quite believe this was happening...

"You want a hug buddy."
