Welcome, young child! You have been recruited to the Orphanage simply because you have no family. Doesn't matter how you ended up without one, being abandonment, passed away, or you killed them! Nonetheless, you are here now, in good hands. Do not worry, we will take good care of you! Just try not to be too out of control, or we will probably have to execute you. ^^
Rules:
1. You can be any age you want.
2. You don't have to be related to anyone here, you were just recruited.
3. You may start romances, just not with biological siblings.
4. Violence and minor harsh language is allowed.
5. Powers are allowed.
6. We need as many caretakers/nanny's as we can get, feel free to be one!
7. You can have a back story leading up to the Orphanage.
8. Have fun! (How cliche.)

Iyu walks into the Orphanage, his hand in the nice lady's who owns this place, and his other holding Button, his cat. He seems to be the first one here, meaning he can call first dibs on the beds!! He excitingly runs up the giant staircase, trying not to shake Button too much, and opens the door to the beds. They are casual bunk beds, so Iyu decides to take one at the top. He sets his things down, aka Button, and runs back to the nice lady, as she continues her tour around the Orphanage. Boy will this place be fun!!
Mika was a small, scrawny, malnourished child, his stomach seemingly flat as his rib cage jutted out tremendously. His growth had been stunted when he was no older than ten, and his height showed it; he didn't seem a day past ten, more likely nine, despite being sixteen and a half. His eyes were hollow, and red and puffy with tears, although his face was dry now. Dirt scuffed his face as he rode in the police car to his new home; the orphanage. He was afraid, his heartbeat pounding with fear. What else was he supposed to feel? Every time he'd ever been moved to another home, it never ended well.
He tried to hide his fear, sitting in the passenger's seat with the police officer, who eyes him concernedly every few moments. Mika clenched his palms together, his lips beginning to tremble as tears threatened to spill again. The officer glanced at him, his eyebrows furrowing with further concern as he held Mika's tiny hand with his larger one, squeezing it reassuringly. Mika didn't like it, but he didn't pull away. He didn't think he was allowed to. "It's alright, Mika." The officer told him, offering a smile before returning his eyes to the road. "The matron is a very nice woman; she won't hurt you like the others, I promise. She's a very good cook, too!" He tried a light chuckle, but it didn't seem to work. Mika's expression seemed just as sullen as before. Although, the idea of food did seem tempting, he didn't understand that he would be allowed to eat that food.
The officer pulled his hand away from Mika's as he pulled to the side of the road at a sign labeled 'Orphanage'. He stepped out, opening the door for Mika, and Mika got out alongside him. They walked up to the door together, the police officer's hand resting on Mika's back comfortingly, and the officer knocked on the door. They awaited an answer together, Mika's eyes resting determinedly on the floor of the small porch as he trembled, chewing on his lower lip nervously.

As the tour was coming to its end, Iyu heard a knock on the door. His only instinct, were to open it.
"I got it!!" He said, sprinting down the stairs, and sliding down the railing.
When Iyu was face front to the door, he didn't hesitate to open it.
Monster, burglar, bad guy, nope! Iyu saw everyone as a friend. He once saw the dark side of things, and he swore he would never see it again. He hated it. No, disliked. Iyu never hates anything or anyone. So he strongly disliked bad things. Once he swung the door open rather quickly, he was met by the po-po and a kid. He looked about nine or something, which many Iyu's child like behavior would get along with him just fine! But he didn't look all that good. Like he just poured his eyes out, or he had just witnessed a murder and was threatened to keep it to himself or he would die. Quite descriptive, yes, but Iyu had his hunches. Iyu also noticed how small and fragile the boy was. Like a house of cards could stand up longer than him. Maybe he starves himself, or he's anorexic. But, that wouldn't be the case either. He looks in desperate need for food. The cop, however, broke Iyu's train of thought.
"Huh? What are you doing here? Where's the owner of this place?"
He said, concern filling his voice.
"Oh! I'm Iyu. Nice to meet you!" He said, avoiding all the questions the officer has just asked him. Iyu's direction then shifted to the boy.
"Nice to meet you too!" He said, reaching his hand out for him to shake, before adding,
"You look tired, or hungry. Y'kno there's a buffet or somethin' in here, right? I had like, fifty bowls of soup!"

She was also with the officer but she was behind him because she was nervous about showing herself to people she didn' trust. She heard the boy talking to the boy and the officer and she kind of shivered because she didn't know how the boy could be so happy and calm about living in an orphanage for who knows how long he has been there but she wasn't going to let her mind think that much about it. She was already busy reading all three of the boy's mind trying to see if she could trust any of them and not be worried about them getting too close. She exited their minds and she sighed a little hoping no one would notice her.
Mika listened, his eyes glued to the floor, as the officer seemed confused that the occupant was a child. The boy in the doorway immediately offered Mika a hand, which he stared at in confusion. He listened to Mika's claim about food, his mouth beginning to water at the thought, but he said nothing. Why did they keep on tempting him with the idea of food, when he knew he couldn't have it? His ears were laid flat against his head in submission, his tail hanging low to the ground, completely still. He hadn't been given permission to speak yet, so he was quiet, listening silently.
When the officer placed a hand on his back, he jumped a little, but still made no other movement. The officer spoke kindly, deciding to encourage the interaction between the two boys while waiting for the matron's arrival. Mika needed a friend, given all he's been through. "He's introduced himself. Why don't you tell him your name?" The officer asked, offering a gentle smile.
Mika's gaze lifted from the ground to the wall just behind Iyu's head. He was deliberately avoiding eye-contact. "My name is..." He paused for a moment, as if he had to struggle to remember. "...Mika." He spoke slowly, in a quiet tone of voice that indicated more than just shyness. He was afraid.
The officer smiled encouragingly at Mika, before turning behind him to look at Jean. "Come on out, Jean. It's alright."

She slowly walked out from behind the officer and she looked down at the ground not wanting to be seen. She made sure her hair covered her face so they wouldn't see what she looked like. "My name is Jean. Nice to meet you, sir." She said worriedly, with a nice clear tone. She waited for the owner to come and show her where she could be alone because she didn't like being near people. "Do you know when the owner is going to be here sir?" She asked calmly and kindly. She finally blew her hair out of her face because it started to annoy her and she looked up. "Hello to you to Mika."
Iyu was glad to see he made new friends! When the girl, who Iyu had not seen for the whole time, asked where the owner was to the police, Iyu knew the answer.
"Ooh, ooh! I know, I know!" He said, jumping up and down eagerly.
"I killed her!!" He said, in the same enthusiastic voice, as if he had not realized what he had just said.
When the others looked at him with the most shocked facial expressions, Iyu just laughed, in a weird maniacal sort of way, yet still keeping his cute aura.
"I'm kidding! She's upstairs!" He said, still not removing the disfigured tone he had just set.
"I'll go get her!" He said, and with that, he unconsciously slammed the door shut, locking the others out, as if he had a death wish to fulfill. This kid was.. Off..

Mika was still and quiet as the girl stepped out from behind the officer, having barely noticed her even when she was transported here in the police car with him. His gaze returned to the ground, obedient and silent as always.
However, when the boy named Iyu suddenly jumped up and down, he flinched, the sudden movement catching him off guard. The thing that should have surprised him, though, did not.
He felt a sudden sense of relief when he told her the matron was dead. To him, matron was another word for master, and he often wished his master would be gone at times. His rigid shoulders slumped ever-so-slightly, although he still maintained his obedient and quiet nature, his eyes still focused on the ground. The officer had told him countless times that this was different from his past experiences, yet he knew better than to believe him. It was never different.
Never.
And so when the officer stared at the boy with a shocked expression, Mika himself wasn't surprised at all. He was relieved, although as the officer was aware of his history, he didn't question the relief that briefly showed on Mika's face. However, when the boy told him he was kidding, only then did he startle, surprised by the fact that he was allowed to make such jokes. His masters would have never allowed such a thing.
When he said he'd go get her, he shifted his weight from one foot to the other, sweat beading down his brow. He flinched as the door was slammed, and the officer frowned concernedly at the closed door before looking down at Mika, only to see that he was trembling. In response, he knelt down to eye level with the boy and placed a hand on both of Mika's shoulders, speaking softly, "It's alright, Mika. No one will hurt you here. I promise."
Mika nodded silently to this, yet his gaze still rested on the ground. He didn't really believe the officer, but he managed to control his trembling. The officer added, "You can speak, Mika. You're always free to speak here." He smiled warmly, yet Mika only nodded again.
"Yes, sir. I understand, sir."
At this point, the officer decided it best to give Mika some time, and he stood up again, but only offering Mika another reassuring smile.

Raven emerged out of the wooded area that had been some ways away from the front entrance of the orphanage. At a first glance, this child was in dire need of some help. She looked like she hadn't eaten or showered in weeks, and she was wearing a thin dress with no shoes or much of anything else. She clutched a necklace in one hand, holding onto it as if it meant the difference between life and death. As she stares out at the orphanage, she came to recall how she ended up there, as the fear of rejection became even stronger.
Why was she at the orphanage? Well, it was because someone a few towns over had sent her in this direction. Said that if she didn't go, then he'd be forced to send her back home. Little did he know that she wouldn't have been welcomed back anyway. She wasn't ready to be outcasted a second time. So, here she was. She slowly shuffled over to the front doors, upon noticing the officer and the other child, she began walking more slowly to keep her footsteps quiet. Whether it worked was to be determined. She stopped behind the both of them, waiting to see what happened, and waiting to either be sent away or go inside.

She looked at Mika then back at the ground shivering a little as to why the boy is so happy. She was scared and she didn't really know what to do. She looked back up at the orphanage door and she was hoping the boy would come back with the owner quickly so she wouldn't have to stay near anyone for who knows how much longer. "Where is the owner at?Does it really take that long for the boy to find him or her." She asked calmly. She looked at the officer and then she pulled her hands out of her pockets and sighed. "Do you think the boy who opened the door is crazy?" She asked while she cut her hair short telepathically. She felt another presence near them that came out of nowhere and she turned around slowly and her eyes slowly turned to black. "Who the hell are you and why are you being extremely quiet and sneaky?" She asked with a flat voice trying not to sound too demanding with the question.
As Iyu pranced back into the building, he made his way back to the spot where he and the owner of this Orphanage had been, before he ran off to answer the door. To his surprise, the lady was long gone. He decided she was actually dead and ran back outside without thinking of a reasonable solution, or even looking around a bit longer to see where she could have gone. He opened the door with a mighty force, regarding his petite body size, and his face had a plastered smile across it that kept getting wider and wider, like a weird sort of cartoon character.
"Welp, guess she's actually dead," he said, motioning his fingers as quotation marks on the word "dead".
"Now what?" He asked, with a simple manner, as if he had dealt with this kind of situation before.
Maybe he had?
It was hard to tell with this kid.

She jumped up a little seeing the door being flung open. She looked at the boy and she was trying to comprehend what he just said.
"Wait so the maidens dead so now what are we going to do? Live on the streets like the rest of the homeless people in the world?" She asked calmly as she looked at the boy trying to see if he was serious or not.
"And can you calm it on the smiling please, it's kind of weird." She said.

The boy tilted his head back, never taking that they were going to live alone into consideration.
"I guess so!" He said, giggling.
"What else are we gonna do?!" He asked, now laughing maniacally.
"We could eat each other or something. We're all friends here, right??" He asked, staring at all of them with a deranged look.

Ravens head snapped up as her eyes traveled to the girl who had been approaching her. The 9 year old started shaking. Whether it be out of fear or the cold, she didn't know. Hell, it could have been both. She held both sides of her dress tightly, as she looked for the right words to say. Though, it out came across as somewhat a stammer.
"U-um....U-um r-raven...."
She stammered before really noticing the girls eyes started turning black. Her eyes widened and started watering, like she was trying not to cry as her eyes started glowing and shining a bright, icy blue and ice started forming around her feet and the ice around her feet. She couldn't control her powers yet, so it just scared her even more.
"I-i wasn't t-trying to be s-s-sneaky! I-i d-didnt want t-to b-b-bother anyone...."
She says before her head turns to look at the door opening and the boy in front of them. When the boy said the caretaker was dead, Raven couldn't help but take a few steps back surprised, clearly more startled than she was earlier. The ice that had started forming around her feet seemed to follow her as she stepped back, solidifying more and more. d-dead?! I-is that true?! I-if that's true....T-then t-that man will take me back.... she thinks to herself as she tries not to tear up

"What do you mean, 'dead'?" The officer asked, beginning to get annoyed with the child. "Let me inside." He ordered, tired of the boy's games. Well, he hoped they were games, anyway. He sidestepped the boy, telling Mika, Iyu, and Jean to wait there, having not yet noticed the fourth party, Raven. He entered, searching the house for the matron, before eventually finding her in the kitchen. She was cooking something that smelled amazing. She jumped when he entered the room.
"Oh! You startled me!" The told the officer, "Did I miss the knock?" She asked, for she was quite familiar with this particular officer.
"Yes and no. Iyu picked it up, and said something about you being dead. I've got two new kids out there; Mika and Jean. And...I'd like to talk to you about Mika's situation before I leave. It's quite...severe." He didn't say things like that often, either; many kids had relatively severe situations, and he dealt with such kids often. Yet, Mika was an entirely different matter. The matron knew this, and concern crossed her face.
"Alright." She told him, "Let me take this out of the oven and then I'll be right there." She smiled as the officer nodded and left, returning to watch the kids.
The matron joined the group a few minutes later, still wearing a cooking apron. Her gaze drifted over Mika, her eyes widening at his small, scrawny figure as she figured that he was the one the officer had wanted to talk to her about, then to Jean. Then, her eyes danced over to Raven, and confusion crossed her face. "You said there were two, right?"
"Yeah." The officer confirmed, before looking over to see what she was so confused about. He spotted Raven then, his eyes widening at her form, which was equally as scrawny as Mika's, and he noticed the bits of leaves in her hair and the thorns and burrs stuck to her clothing. Did she come out of the forest? "Where are you from?" He asked, deciding to take a gentle tone of voice with her. He didn't know what she had just gone through, considering her disheveled appearance.
(If you want, I could play the matron until someone else offers to make a permanent character profile for her. When that happens, we can just say the matron retired and a new one came in. ^.^)

(Hah, it's quite all right, we'll carry on from there, and if you would be okay as being the matron for now, that'd be great, thanks! ^^)
(it's ok! Trust me I missed two while typing a response xD)
Raven looked up, surprised to see the cop go inside. After a moment, she lowered her head back to the ground and sighed. She was about to just turn around and go back into the woods, but then she noticed that she was being talked too. She looked up surprised to see the cop and the care taker. She hadn't actually thought this far through, so she just stared at them, trying to think of something to say. When she couldn't, she just lowered her head and pointed to the forest she had come out of.
"T-there...."
She said while she continued to point at the forest. She had either lived or traveled in the forests for a few years now. The ice around her feet slowly melted as she grew less nervous

She looked at the maiden and sighed. "I thought you were dead ma'am." She said calmly and looked at everyone else carefully. "So what are we doing just staying out here when it's dark and animals come out to kill?" She asked worriedly trying to hurry up and get inside to be alone.
