Dirty hands, torn clothes,no smile.A young lady named Celest sat on a old, torn up bench, with bird poop on it.Her brown hair was all matted up and her torn t-shirt with a black stain on the collar, and sides, rustled in the wind. Her pants that had a short sag to it trailed about 3 inches from her skinny leg.Her blue eyes were the only things that had life to them. The female slowly got up and looked to the right. She saw two children playing with a jumprope. She turned her head to the left and saw someone getting into a car accident. She sighed lightly and sat back on the old, gritty bench. She breathes slow, deep breaths. She tapped her bare foot against the pavement lightly. She asked people who pasted by if she could have a few bucks for a meal. They had all turned her down and one male even hit her.She leaned back as a tear formed in her eye.All she wanted was someone to help her.
Lukas walked casually down the sidewalk, one hand shoved into his pocket and the other clutching a small cooler, a slight scowl flickering across his face. He appeared angry, though in all reality he was just a bit annoyed. Earlier in the day he had arrived at work only to find out he was fired, and for a reason that seemed absolutely idiotic to him. All he had done was brought a cooler with him to work, filled with small packets of one of the only things that could keep him going -- blood. He had told his former boss the moment he was hired that he would be bringing the packets with him to work, but somehow it had slipped the bosses mind. "Tch.." He glared at the ground as he walked, trying to think of a way to get his job back.
Celest stood up and tapped on the male then rubbed her arm."Could you spare a bit of change please?"Her blue eyes flickered and looked so lively, but sadly her body was dying and she was too skiny.Celest was very pale and wasn't healthy either. She had a big smile on her face and her matted but long hair slightly swayed. She blinks at him a few times.
Lukas looked at the girl, slightly startled by her appearance. "I think you might need more than just some change.." He sifted through his pockets for his wallet, opening it and taking out a hundred dollar bill. "Here, good luck to you." He took hold of her hand and placed the money in it before smiling and turning to continue his walk. He knew giving away a hundred bucks would set him back some, but the girl really looked like she needed it.
Her eyes widened at the change as she smiled."Thank You!" She yelled as she started to run towards a store. She was hungry but she also needed some clothes and more. She was thinking about her fathers old story how he had five dollars and turned it into a five thousand dollars. She thought this should get her back on track as well. After a while she looked better then she did.Her hair was done, she had on new clothes and she was clean. Now all she needed was some food. After that she would try to get a job.
Lukas kept walking for a while, only stopping once he reached the apartment building where he was currently living, much to the other tenants dismay. The other people in the building didn't really like the fact a vampire was living there, but luckily their opinion of him didn't matter to the building's owner, who allowed him to live there as long as he stayed quiet and didn't cause trouble. He sighed and walked to the door to his room, unlocking it and stepping inside. "Might as well start packing everything.." He mumbled to himself, tossing the cooler to the side before plopping down into the nearest chair. Without a job he wouldn't be able to pay for the apartment, not that he minded the idea of being homeless, since he could always use his charm to find himself another place to stay.
Celest was happy that the man had helped her,but she wanted to thank him properly. After finishing her food she got up and ran to the bench that she was at and grabs her bag that was under her bench as she ran the direction that he had walked.
Lukas leaned over and pulled the cooler over to the chair, opening it and taking out one of the packs that was inside. "Maybe a break from working is what I need, haven't relaxed like this in quite some time.." He ripped the tab off of the pack and sipped at the contents of it. Without work though, he would soon run out of these life giving little packets, which could be a very bad thing. But such things didn't concern him at the moment, he was just trying to enjoy a nice break from a previously very busy lifestyle.
She took out a small ruby and held it in her hand.It started to glow bright as she walked,it leading her to him.She later found his home and knocked on his door softly. Her skin color had became healthy again and she looked pretty.
The ruby was worth a lot but she keeps it with her because It was her mother's ruby.

Lukas almost fell out of his chair when he heard the knock, he didn't get visitors often. "Hold on, I'll be there in a moment." He shoved the cooler into the hall closet and tossed the pack he was drinking from into the trash. He then took a moment to wipe his mouth in case there were any remnants of the blood he had drank, after doing that he opened the door. "Yes?" He looked at the girl, not recognizing her as the same one from before.
She put the ruby in her back pocket and handed him the left over cash."Thanks for the hundred dollar bill." She smiles and bows."It was very kind of you,but you should also keep your money."She looked up at him with her happy blue eyes.
Lukas blinked and stared at the girl for a moment, shocked that the money he had given her had helped her to such an extent. "Oh uh, no problem. I'm glad it helped you." He smiled warmly. "Its fine, you should keep it." He handed the money back to her. "Consider it a gift, and try to take better care of yourself from now on. It would be a shame if you ended up that way again." He said simply, scratching the back of his head for a moment.
She smiled and hugged him."Thank you so very much." She ran off,her red ruby dropping out of her back pocket.
Lukas watched her run off, noticing the ruby after a moment. "Oh hey, you dropped this!" He yelled to her, picking up the ruby. He wasn't sure if she had heard him, so he tucked the ruby in his pocket so he wouldn't lose it, he figured she would realize it was gone and come back looking for it.
She had ran to far by then and looked around. She yawns and sits on the bench."Oh we'll another day without a bed."She looked for her ruby but found it no where.
She stood back up and ran back to his place, being exhausted and weak.

Lukas leaned against the wall outside his door, waiting for her to come back. Any normal person would've probably thought to keep such a thing like a ruby, but he wouldn't condone himself to such a selfish act, as he considered himself a person of higher standards.
She knocks on his door, lightly panting, also tired from running. She was use to running, but still, she had a taste of the prissy life.
Lukas opened the door and grinned, taking the ruby from his pocket and holding it out to her. "You really ought not to lose something like this, if I hadn't noticed it theres no telling who would've took it." He laughed a bit.
She smiled and bowed, quickly taking it.."Thank you so much." She sighs as she knew she would have to run all the way back. She was so tired so she started to walk, her legs shaking.
Lukas watched her for a moment and then rubbed the back of his head. "Maybe you should rest before taking off again, no point in tiring yourself out." He smiled, even though he was mentally kicking himself for being so nice.
