So, what of we fast forward like you said. A month. The expierments continued. So Scarlett is still more or less deranged. However over the course of that month, the scientist had developed an antidote (for insurance and liability purposes). So a month later, z goes back, and stays hidden. He finds Scarlett, but when he does it's because in that moment they were wheeling her out of the office and taking her back to her room. Z prepares for the worst (if he wants. You know, grab sedatives and tranqs or stuff) and finds her, only to be attacked by Scarlett. Maybe he manages to subdue her, or maybe he just escapes. But then he goes on the search through the facility for the antidote all while avoiding security. But security has been alerted that he's been seen, so then he goes on the search for the antidote while trying not to get caught while being actively hunted.

I like that a lot. The only thing is, while I'm doing all of that, how will you interact w/ the plot? Like, let's say I'm looking for the antidote, while you're in your room. What would you be doing then?

Lol I'll come up with something. She can just have a chat with her delusions. Like, the longer it takes, the worse off Scarlett gets. So the pressure is REALLY on. If he ends up knocking Scarlett out or subduing then she'd just have a conversation within a dream or something. Lol I'll make it work, and if I can't I'll let you know so we can speed it up. But it'll be fine. No rush because I feel like without a proper plot this could go to a dead end fast and it's a really good rp.
