Hi! Welcome to another WIP art thread! This time it's for animation.
For a game.
So I spose this is also a kind of Dev. Log if that's allowed.
But for now, you get to see some of the animations for the sprites I'm working on!

I'm working on this project with the lovely PerryInc, and it's going to be a humorous fan contribution for the indie game Bendy and the Ink Machine.

So let's get started!

Chapter I
The Little Devil Darlin' - Bendy
Part I

I start off with making a rough guideline for the movements I want. Then I refine it.
Here's a refined version of the Idle pose;



And here's what it looks like with the final refinement before lining and colouring;


I'm super proud of the idle animation. ;u; I haven't animated in a long time, so I was quite happy with the result.

Time for the attack animation!



Rough outline. I love how smooth it looks already!

It's supposed to be him raising his hands in a summoning position, and I intend on adding some spears rising from the ground at a later stage.

For some reason refining it didn't do much;


Maybe it's the legs. Maybe I need to make his fingers curl into his palms more while rising his hands. It just doesn't have that smooth quality to it like the sketch did. It looks a little more stiff.

Hopefully I'll fix that tomorrow. I was pretty darn sick while making that. Darn cold.
