Hello fellow roleplayers and gamers! I have come to you with the idea of a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon idea. For those that are unfamiliar with Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, it is a style of play that instead of a Pokemon Trainer, players select a Pokemon they wish to play as and perform tasks for their fellow Pokemon. Humans are non-existent in this setting and so are human-made items and places such as the Poke-Center and Poke-Mart. Pokemon have their equivalents in the shape of resting in beds or in other places, and shops ran by different Pokemon.
This is a heavy dice using adventure, as it will be using Heimdall's dice and some rules from my other group. The Player Characters will be able to choose the difficulty of missions they undertake in an E (being the easiest) to A (for A-Teams!) fashion. If battles are not going in the party's favor, they may always escape the dungeon. If they are all defeated, they lose their money and up to half of their items if any, but only black out and wake up outside the dungeon. There is no permadeath; I am after a casual game after all.
Common themes will be making friends with Pokemon, exploring areas, overcoming obstacles, and teamwork. If you are interested in such a game, let me know below! Also, if you are more interested in playing as a Trainer, I have a group for that as well that uses the exact same dice system. So if you learn it (and it is as easy as I could modify it to be!) then you will be golden. That group is already made and can be found here!

As someone who has barely played any dice games before, is it okay if I give this a shot? I love PMD with a passion, and I'm glad someone is making a game out of it! Though sadly I haven't played DnD or Roll20/etc., so I'm worried that might effect me joining this game.
Unless you're willing to teach me a thing or two about how these dice work and the ways of the rules, I'd be happy to join !

Hello! This is a game that has been toned down from throwing all sorts of dice pools around, to a very simple game. It is geared towards new dice rollers and I have cut out all the Trainer material for this style of play, making it is even easier! The dice rolled never change and will always stay the same in most cases. I will do my best to provide pointers and examples on dice rolling when needed and may always be asked further questions! No dice rolling experience is required and seeing how the dice are rolled is the best way to learn.
