In the years following Drago's attack on Berk, all was peaceful. With Toothless and Hiccup being the leaders of both the Vikings and dragons, their ways spread to surrounding lands. The two continued to map out the world with the help of Hiccup's mother. But as things settled, a new threat rose. Every so often a dragon would attack the island, always under cover of night. This dragon, which the Vikings began to call Shadow-bolt, never showed itself. Most of Berk's dragons seemed to be afraid of this beast, refusing to fly after it during an attack, and the few that did never returned. Hiccup and the others then began to hatch a plan to capture this dragon.
