"That's it? Wow. I bet you're still curious aren't you?"

"Of course I am, but now that I've met her, I can't help but try and protect her. She's a lot like I was when I woke up after dying a shade."

He nodded. "Then why don't you ask?"

Moon let out a short, dry laugh. "If there's one thing I have in the world, it's time. It's not like I'm going to die anytime soon."

He nodded sadly. "That's true."

"You do know I'll out-live you, don't you?" Her mood and grown somber at the realization that stared them in the face.

He nodded once more.

After a moment of sitting in silence, Drop stood up. "We should head back."

He looked up then packe the basket again and stood along with her. "Let's go."

"Thank you," she said just a hair louder than a whisper.

He turned to her and smiled then wrapped his arm around her shoulder. "No problem."

The shade smiled softly at the gesture.

He started to lead her back to the hotel.
