Apparos (played by Vistriai)

"Assist Ver!" He shouted, as he sprinted towards the Hanged Man, bringing his claws down upon the knight's helm.
Mia (played by emilyn8522)

They took off to help Ver. Tawny was now colored black with fiery red eyes. They circled the square and Tawny spat fire.
The Hanged Man (played anonymously)

The Hanged Man grimaced as he saw a commotion rippling through the square. The crowd began to panic and stampede to get away from Ver and Apparos. It wasn't uncommon for people to try to be heroes at these sorts of demonstrations, though they rarely got far enough for the Bent Knee to intervene.

The woman shook her head. "They never learn, Sir Crow," she said.

"Nay, Sir Margitte--they do not."

As Ver and Mia tried to advance on the two pale knights, they were blocked by a line of trained soldiers wielding long pikes, though they drew swords once their opponents were close enough. Mia's burst of light made some of them blink and falter, allowing the heroes to begin pushing through towards the knights.

Margitte issued a command to one of the soldiers, who blew a silver horn. Its piercing call rang through the square. The soldiers that were currently engaged with Mia, Ver, and Apparos continued to fight, but the others turned their pikes on the terrified citizenry. The square was too large and the crowds too thick to save them all. Shrieking filled the air--people trampled or even shoved each other into the pikes to avoid being gored themselves. If Mia's dragon were to breathe fire on the soldiers, the innocents were sure to suffer as well.

The archers whose bows were destroyed drew swords and joined the fray, but there were plenty of artillery left. Some had arbalests that they fired at Tawny's underbelly as he flew overhead. Margitte swung her flambard in a vertical arc--a wave of force followed it, potentially disrupting the beast's flight.

Eventually Apparos made enough of a hole through the soldiers to advance on the pale knights. The Hanged Man raised his shield to block the swing of the phantom's claws. An intense magical surge radiated from the point where they connected. He remained defensive for the moment. Although the dissenters' attack appeared to be sloppy and poorly organized, he didn't want to leave anything to chance. He focused for a moment and tapped the left side of his chest, sending a thought back to the White King. Such direct telepathy was only used in times of need ... and it was possible that the White King would punish him for failure. Dissenters in the Alabaster Square, my liege, a wyrm and a spectral assassin among them! We need the soulbinders and mages!
Verlin Calder (played by koroni)

Ver slowed to a stop when confronted with the line of soldiers. With his sword still sheathed, he stayed out of their range, instead straightening up and drawing in a deep breath. In time with the breath, fire began to blaze up from a decent amount of the soldiers' feet. If it wasn't so damn chaotic in the square, he'd be able to get the fire into their armour, but was it was, he'd have to settle for cooking them - the thought made him grimace, so he jerked his wrist upwards with another inhale, sending the fire into the faces of the guards, trying to weave it around any helmets they may be wearing.

Then the dragon flew overhead. All breath left Ver's lungs and just as soon, the fire vanished, barely even leaving warmth in the air. His arms and posture fell and all he could do for a moment was track the dragon, expression hollow, wide eyes devoid of anything except a gripping terror.
He didn't breathe the whole time he stared, probably in legitimate danger of passing out. Too long later, he started to take small, quick breaths, urging himself to look away.

He was finally torn away when the dragon's fire flared. With the limited air he had, his yell was weak, but it was a yell nonetheless. "WAIT!" He ripped from his stupor with a sudden spin. The dragon's fire would be pulled straight towards him, circle around him, then vanish with a clamping motions of his hands. "ARE YOU CRAZY?" he spat.

Then he whirled back around to cast a rather unimpressive flurry of flames back at the line of soldier's and fall back until he regained his bearings.
Mia (played by emilyn8522)

"Sorry!" she landed down beside Ver and hopped off. She rolled her eyes. "Over react much?" Tawney looked at the soilders, and regarded them as pests. He looked at Mia to confirm to attack. She nodded and Tawny barrelled into the soldiers. She turned towards Ver, "So, what do we do now?"
Freya (played by Raider-jack29)

Freya stood amongst the crowd and sighed, she knew this plan was doomed from the start and yet she still joined the Frey. At least she hid amongst the shadows to conceal herself.

Why does she let herself be intimidated by that minor shadow creature? a novice sorcerer and killer who has no mind but to get his job done under any circumstances. Seeing as her job was done as the archers were incompasitated, she then departed into the shadows and back into her heavily guarded room just in time for the golem she placed earlier to crumble.
She then released herself from the disguise she wore, and laid down to rest.
