Random events across the site may give you weapons and healing items too. You can click on "Event" at the top of the site and then go to "Battle baddies" to fight monsters.
Keep in mind that most monsters are too tough to fight on your own, so we usually open this topic up in chat and coordinate attacks to bring them down.
