Honor blades have 50 max, energy swords have... 40 I think.

if anything the distance between you and an enemy should make dodging easier, but oh well

Reminds me, I watched Hacksaw Ridge on the plane...

"energy swords increase accuracy and evasion" proceeds to land only one hit out of eight and get critted

Meanwhile, earlier I used up all my stamina against imperial dude and still had over 60 HP.

But you went seven rounds before death, pretty good!

this gives me another idea: weapon upgrades

maybe one could save up 30 or 40 of the year's seed/scrap item and moa or someone else can use it to upgrade a weapon to a stronger form

possibly make the cost higher than that but give it a very large if not unlimited amount of uses

They'd probably start just as limited, like with the colored blades.

exactly, everyone having superweapons like that would make it far too easy

you'd have to really work to earn it

You can stretch a colored blade to 79 uses if you wait to color it until it's down to one use

But other than that the only difference (aside from looking awesome with your personalized energy sword color) is that each color has one piece of attack flavor text unique to its color.

i didn't just mean to give it more uses, this idea would also upgrade its damage output in whatever year if you did decide to implement a true upgrade system

I know what you meant, I was just remarking on what exists now.
