They'll be at risk again when the new spawn happens, but if I remember right, Kim made it so you get fewer items the more you're holding last year... So I don't know whether using them or waiting is actually better...

I think we lose fewer scraps if we kill the aliens fast enough.

Scrap is destroyed due to misses in combat.

I believe clues (or suspected clues) are supposed to also be sent to Sanne and/or Dragonfire until one returns, to be sure they can update the first posts.

If someone is going to be sticking around for a bit, they can be interim note taker and PM the whole collection to Sanne and Dragonfire too

I can note down what I catch, at least.
