Culann (played by AnimalKeeper86)

Darkvang is enchanted forest as old as creation that was once filled with dragons, giants, trolls, goblins, spirits, faerie folk, dwarves in the caves under the edge of the mountains, ancient creatures with no names, the tree spirits and legends of old. At some point legions of these beings under the leadership of Dragnoic, something that's name remains unspoken, developed a taste for dragon blood, dark magic, and became dark and evil. After a giant battle of enormous proportions and awesome magic the giants, evil and creatures were bound to the forest Some say that giants were once gods chained to this world by a most high force of good. Years passed and the myths and legends passed and the youth of the world her raised to forget.

Anyone can enter the forest, but no one leaves without paying a great tribute to the greatest force of evil within. It's an adventure about old forgotten places, mysterious encounters, trolls and large wormlike dragons - not to mention a frost covered forest plain where blue skinned frost giants roam. Giant ravens lurk with trickster spirit looking to lure the gullible to their doom.

A group of adventurers are too meet to find out if the stories of the old Forest are real.

Culann a tall stockily built man with a old dagger, an axe, and mace on his person a dark green cloak and red hair that seemed to shine, sat under a tree at the edge of the forest waiting for the others to arrive. He thought to himself as he opened a flask at his side his pack leaning against the tree "This journey requires at least three to make it worth our while" as he looked through the gloom of the forest "it may not be true what the legends say, but it's definitely hiding its share of danger" as he took a long pull at the flask and sighed impatient for the coming adventure. Again he thought back to the vet he had made in the Bar about exploring the forest and bringing back treasure and all the ready adventures who had promised to join him, he wondered 'how many were there?' Was it all drink? Culann stretched and stood As he heard the faint sound of footsteps, he was a strong and fierce fighter, but he often found himself spending too much time in his head and missing what was about ready to hit him in the face, he fingered the axe at his side waiting for the oncoming visitor.
Carabia (played by Robyn)

Tinali only knows how far Carabia traveled in order to reached this famous forest. Hardly having any say in the matter, for there is no way she could resist once word had spread to the citizens of her homeland. There are few opportunities to be the first to explore such an area, what with most enchanted forests being discovered long before her own birth. Like any other day, a formal gown layered with fine fabric makes up the young lady's colourful attire. A wide leather satchel swings lightly by one hip, allowing room on the opposite side for a literal lion to walk. His fur as black as the darkest of nights, crimson gaze matching her own. Carabia casts a warm smile towards Culann with her approach, steps falling short a few more paces away. "Good day to you! May I ask if you too are joining the exploration?"
John Tamprey (played by CoolShortie)

John walked toward the forest, following a dirt path through the tall grasses. He was dressed in a blue tunic, with a maroon belt around his middle. He had chosen to wear dark blue loose-fitting tights, and brown boots completed his attire. He was carrying a hawk, which was perched on his shoulder, on a leather gauntlet that stretched the length of his arm. He stopped when he neared the two others, and said to them, "Is this the group that is going to explore the Forest?" The bird on his shoulder squawked. "Settle down, Sholto. The big cat might make a meal out of you." He gestured to the lion that was standing by Carabia's side.
Fallow (played by koroni)

Fallow's presence would be given away by the song he was playing on his stringed instrument and the carrying of his voice. He was completely and hopelessly lost, but damn if he was going to get scared. He sang a story that was probably known by anyone who'd ever heard a bard sing.
He looked like any other blonde human, with a long nose, hair grown to his mid-back wound with braids, a long dark jacket, with a nearly decoratively pretty sword hanging from his hip. His defining feature, though, was the ugly black scar looped around his neck. Perhaps if he'd stop playing for a moment, he'd have a better chance at tracking down Carabia, Culann, or John in the forest, but he didn't seem all to concerned.
DRAKE (played by Vistriai)

In the forest, drifting through the dark woods, was DRAKE, searching for a place of refuge in the magic forest. He had wandered in and had been stuck wandering for several days now. His stone body was scratched from the constant fights with the dark creatures that inhabited this unforgiving biome, and the corals on his back were beginning to crack and shatter. As he neared the edge of the woods, he saw three figures grouped together, while his receptors picked up a distant song. The figure with red hair had quite a lot of weaponry, and DRAKE's programming kicked in, like the instinct of a wild beast. If the bright lights of his lenses and bonds and the whirring of his shattered limbs did not alert them to his presence, his sudden approach certainly did. His primary protocols were at work as he looked down upon the heavily armed man and buzzed "POSSIBLE HOSTILE ENTITY DETECTED. IDENTIFY YOURSELF AS ALLY OR FOE."
Culann (played by AnimalKeeper86) Topic Starter

Culann looked at Carabia curiously unaccustomed to Female adventurers from his home, but spying the Lion almost before looking at her he felt she must have high potential and appraisingly he answered "Top of the Morning to you my lady, Yes, I am Culann Au Ulster, I dare say, I am the one who started this adventure, whether it bring us great treasure or trouble, but may I say, You yourself must have traveled quite a distance to answer the call, if your dress and traveling companion are To be taken into account" he said bowing slightly, then glancing to John to whom he nodded "A Falconry man? Pleased that you have joined our party, I'm Culan son of Lug Au Ulster, What is that clanking thing" he said looking out from their gathering puzzled to the creature called Drake, seeing him as the major pending threat himself he answered him "Be I Ally Or Foe, I would think you have the burden of proof since you are of no species I know" he said boldly unsure what to make of the bold instruder, Culann not a man to back down from a challenge.
Carabia (played by Robyn)

She first allows a soft laugh to flow past parted lips, one hand gloved within white running through the lion's mane. "Worry not, he would not dare attack anyone without direction." Her tone entirely reassuring towards John. It seems that the pair are indeed close, for the black lion lowers to sit at her side now, head slowly tilting to better enjoy the attention from her. Slightly spoiled, perhaps. While she does indeed take note of Fallow's music, her attention mostly remains upon the group gathered, thankful to see them grow in number. Both ankles cross to drift within a rather graceful, if not brief curtsy, her greeting offered to all in turn. "I am Princess Carabia Devereux of Tanbarune, and this is Mister Dembala." A seemingly-fitting name for such an animal companion, no doubt. She first casts Culann a warm smile after his own introduction. "Right you are! T'was a long, but thankfully safe journey to join you. It is lovely to meet you all." Whatever else she may have added is cut short, narrowed crimson hues now locked upon the aggressive stranger yelling Culann's way. Surely they are not under attack already!
John Tamprey (played by CoolShortie)

John bowed, careful to keep the hawk vertical on his shoulder. "My name is John. This is Sholto, he's a Northern Goshawk." He indicated the bird on his shoulder. He looked up at the mech approaching them, a mass of gears and rusty metal. "I, for one, am not a foe. I couldn't do anything to hurt you, anyway," he said. He agreed that it was quite a formidable machine, even if it was in disrepair. "I might be able to fix it, if you could give me a chance to look at what happened." He turned to the mech.
Fallow (played by koroni)

Fallow's voice died off at the same time as his playing as he turned in the direction of the voice, if that was the correct word for it. He waited a couple seconds, played a little suspenseful tune, then hung his instrument over his shoulder by its strap. Resisting the urge to just start calling out, 'hello, is anyone there?', he followed his ears.
He stopped a couple meters behind DRAKE. He leaned to see past him to the folks in the clearing and gave them a crooked smile.
DRAKE (played by Vistriai)

He was silent for a moment, computing their responses. "AFFIRMATIVE. MY APOLOGIES. THOUGH MY HARD DRIVE HAS BEEN DAMAGED AND MY SERIAL CODE HAS BEEN LOST, MANY CALL ME DRAKE. I AM AT YOUR COMMAND, ALLIES." He said, as looked directly at John. "REPAIR OF MY HARD DRIVE AND MECHANISMS WOULD BE OF UTMOST APPRECIATION. ARE YOU FAMILIAR WITH MY TECHNOLOGY?"

His receptors picked up movement behind him, and his head swiveled a full 180 to look down upon Fallow. "ARE YOU ACCOMPANYING THESE ADVENTURERS?"
John Tamprey (played by CoolShortie)

John thought for a moment. "I'm sure I could figure something out. Mechanisms, i can fix. I'm not sure about your hard drive, but I can take a look." He sent Sholto to a nearby branch. He looked over the machine. "Quite a bit of rust, but I can take that off." When I'm done with him, he should be running smoothly.

(Would it be possible for me to switch characters, to one that would fit in more with this setting? Arram would be my chosen character, instead of John. If it doesn't work out, I'm fine with how it is now.)
