Okay, so I've been thinking, there will be no magic, only because c'mon it's a sci-if game. Instead, there will be alien technology that the people can scavenge for and try to repair or rebuild.
As for civilian like classes, I was thinking the class systems work basically by practicing and perfecting the type of profession your are in. Example a gunner/sniper will focus on hunting prey while a mechanic/other civilian esque class works on building, and it's not impossible per say for civilians to either have a friend or guild trade them or give them starting items to begin building or even have them start with some basic things, as is people can eventually hire others (example Cheshire) to retrieve required items. Making a general real world basis for immersion purposes.
Also Exo suits are fine, maybe even a power suit like fallout but no mech suits because let's be honest it's not fair to put that in the player's hands. Now, maybe a boss of some sort, but not the player.

In a post-apoc scenario, and knowing how the player base from past games I have played, isn't it hard to do trading and maintaining a base when it is known that players are often more...so to say aggressive against their fellow players?
If there are no permanent safe zones for full immersion, trading would have to consistently go through reputable player-made hotspots where everyone silently agrees not to stab each other. Player bases outside of these hotspots have to either have a robust security system, be well hidden, or have a dedicated guild schedule of rotating players to watch it. Player run guilds specific for each branch of tech trading could probably be a thing. One player guild would probably take it upon themselves to act as the law in this lawless wasteland. Self righteous A holes...
About the inventory management, I like the way weapons are teleported in and out of hand from the Ratchet and Clank reboot. That should be a base-required thing of course. Weapons need to be housed somewhere if you're looking to carry any more than is realistic.
Edit: By the way, I'm imagining Bullet Fuse simulates a vast representation of earth that's not to scale, but is very close to it, so base hiding is a lot easier than it seems. Or we could just call it a "game" thing for why we dont need to carry all our weapons and ammo.

I presume you don't need to carry all the ammo. Okay since we are on a sci-fi stage, may I purpose a mobile exosuit which focus on speed and firepower but not armor?
Flight suits that double as motor cycles that have no combat use? Every MMO needs some sort of mount to traverse the land. Punk rides like modern motorbikes and vehicles could also be used.
I think it's fine going with motorcycles and cars/trucks but no mobile flying vehicles? At that point you need heavy weaponry bigger than an anti-materiel rifle(example: RPGs or heavy machine gun) to deal with that though.

Teleporting between continents and major hub areas is a must. Vehicles would take HOURS in real time to travel from place to place. Flight units would shave that a bit. They could be restricted by not being able to lift off until a 100m area is safe, not being allowed for any combat use, and be a OneHit KO if shot down, making it very risky to fly around cities and such.
Plus theyd be cool.
How about carriers and such, can be used by guilds but it takes a high level scientist and a LOT OF RESOURCES to build into, causing a guild to literally fund whatever they can into these. Maybe also able to find for large transport vehicles.
Also, as for towns there will be four safe zone towns where you can't harm other players no matter what (unless invite to a duel) so at least civilian classes can have fair play as others.
These are the towns.
Oasis: The largest town in the apocalyptic setting, creating a scenic view of an oasis in the "desert" metaphorically speaking. Large amounts of scientist travel here for research, a lot of guilds set up hold here.
Outlands: Your small town agriculture, birthing place of a small town hero, also great for gathering resources used in science and mechanical.
Badlands: Your ruffian town, fallen city that hasn't fully been repaired like oasis has, home to your bandits, assassins, and other shady folk.
Highlands: Your survivalist town in the mountains, great to finding ores and other materials of that nature, also a resourceful hunting place. (Probably will edit this one more)
ALSO THE IDEA FOR THE WEAPONRY (from Ratchet and Clank) IS BLOODY AMAZING, IMAGINE CHESHIRE'S HOME

Then we all good?
Guess I should start getting the first post ready for the forum... okay, I hope it'll reach expectations.

Oh dear Lordy Lou, okay so. The post will focus in on where Cheshire is, so it's up to you guys how you want to start (either together or not) or whatever.
As for the flight suits, that is definitely not fair for say lower leveled people if a guy with a flight suit is running around destroying people. Now, however. You can customize your vehicles as much as you want (within reason of physics) and for certain upgrades you need to be or have someone have a high enough mechanic/science skill to do so. Depending on the upgrade.
Maybe even explosive if your trying to add like missles or something.

FLIGHT SUITS HAVE NO WEAPONRY HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO--
I quit.

Nah I'm good to go. I'll drop Khae a pm on ideas for how we will introduce ourselves sense we are travelling together. I'm thinking starting things off with either action, a shifty player trade, or hunting down a sniper. Maybe watching a streamer if Roby introduces Nano and Silent before hand.

Yeah Khae linked me didnt even know where it was half hour ago.
No worries DM, post was good but I need more gun-love with descriptions of your arsenal. Both ya posts are great. Ira will be going first, then myself. I hope Yurei logs in tommorow.

Ah there is no rush! I rather we take our times and enjoy the roleplay, and as for my guns, they all will make a debut eventually, especially when she uses one of her special gun skills called Arsenal Roulette.
Well for Silent, he has standard normal guns. For Nano, large caliber guns.
