Heyo, and welcome to RPR! I'm pretty sure that there are some people that type in script form so that it looks like a play. Personally, I write in paragraph form so it's more like a book format, but there isn't a single way that's 'correct.' (At least in my opinion.) The Help area would be a great place to look as it explains rp basics. If you have any specific questions, don't hesitate to ask, okay? Someone will answer you ^^

If you want to just jump in and see how it goes, then I'd look in the Looking for Rp forum, or if you're the type that likes to learn by observing, there are several forums where people rp. You could read them and get a feel for it The different forums are General Roleplay, Fantasy Roleplay, and Sci-Fi Roleplay.

Welcome to Rpr! It sounds like you have most of it down already. You have/make your character, and then you work on their story, goals. Find some similar or dissimilar chara's to be friends, enemies, all sorts of scenarios and possibilities you and your partners can come up with! ^^ I'm sure you'll have a great time!
