Em was orphaned at the age of 3 when both her parents were killed by raiders who broke into their home and looted it. Spending two years in the orphanage at the edge of the city of Arventon, the King made a trip to visit the children in hopes of finding a suitable child to be trained to protect his seven year old son when he became grown. For some unknown reason, he chose Em. Who was the smallest child there even though she was 5 years old; she was small even for her age.
Bringing her back to the castle, Em lived there until the age of 10 and was the Prince's best friend until she had to be sent away for training, not to return until age 25.
At age 17, Rook, her spirit animal, a red fur wolf, chose Em to be his spirit companion until the day they both died.
At the age 21, tragedy struck the kingdom when an assassin killed both the King at his royal protector, leaving the Prince defensless against enemy attacks. The tragedy forced Em to return home early. Both Em and the Prince had changed over the years. Em one of the most attractive women in Arventon and the Prince being the most eligible,as well as desirable, bachelor there.
Despite the both of them being heavily attracted to one another, the Prince is being pushed to pick someone royal to marry. And Em swore an oath as the Prince's protector to leave feelings behind in order to serve the Prince with her life. It is imperative, now more than ever, that Em fight her growing feelings for the Prince to protect his life against the enemy kingdom that so desperately is trying to bring Arventon to the ground.
(Now for a few things that might answer any questions)

The only kind of magic in this story line would be for Royals and for the Royal Protectors.
At the age of 17, an animal(any animal) chooses the Royal or Royal Protector. That animal is the Spirit Animal and acts as the lifelong friend and protector of its person.
The Royal Protector can also transport themselves a certain distance but thats the only magic. Besides the spirit animals being able to telepathically communicate with its person.

Also just quick run down, because sometimes im not always getting the main points out when i present an idea.

1. Em's actual name is Empress, she isn't royal by any means. Accept the fact the King and Queen adopted her into their family at the age of 5 in order for her to be their son's protector.
2. Em is your characters protector but also one of his oldest friends because she's lived in his castle since they were kids.
3. When Em returns she finds she has feelings for him and he her but she took an oath to keep feelings out of it in order to do her job. (So its both a romance and action rp idea)
4. If you dont want the prince to have a spirit animal thats A-okay!
5. The King has just been assassinated when Em returns but the Queen still lives. However that means that the Prince is now being pushed to marry so he can take the throne, but he isn't very attracted to the other Royal women. But he is attracted to Em, however is discouraged bu his mother because she is not of Royal blood.
6. There will be conflicts and attempts on the Prince's life because a neighboring kingdom wants to be the most powerful Kingdom instead of the least powerful.

Also i would like the prince to be at least two years older than Em.

Umm, maybe some clarification on how exactly spirit animals work/help. Other than that, are we doing this on a forum or pm?

Okay so on the 17th birthday of the Royal or Royal Protector, they have a dream that leads them to the animal that will be their lifelong companion or spirit animal as mentioned before. Their spirit animal is basically a last line of defense should the royal protector and the protector's spirit animal get killed or severely injured to where they are unable to reach the Royal they guard.
Although i call it a spirit animal, the animal is very real and not at all ghost like. The animal stays with its person at all times unless dismissed to wait somewhere not too far away from its person. Animals can telepathically communicate with its person.
Essentially, a best friend but willing to risk its life for its person.

And preferrably pm, if you're good with that.

Okay The intro was perfect, not too hard to reply to at all. I did give him an animal at this point, though I haven't decided what kind yet.
