"We are going to live.Either finding a way to kill those things or getting out of this place!"

"How do you suggest we do that? Go through bombed out streets full of mutants while we're unarmed? Guns can barely kill them, a baseball bat sure as hell won't."

"Hmmm...there has to be a way!" She growls.

"Sorry to burst your bubble. I'm usually an optimistic guy, but I don't see any silver lining. Look at us! I have an arm that had bone poking out of the skin not even 30 minutes ago, Kuroro is blind and you had a foot long shard of glass in your back! I say we survive as long as we possibly can. There's nothing else to do. The mutants will find us eventually and after that, we're done."

"You say there is no way.....But if it lives it can die.My mother use to be a doctor and my father was a scientist.I know what they knew. Let's at least try...."

"But they never learned about these. No one did. They take the dead to their hole and manage to bring them to life as one of their own. You can't kill something like that," he released her from his hold, "If you want to go walking through those streets, be my guest," he growled angrily, his ears flat against his skull. Why couldn't she just understand?

She was stubborn and didn't like to give up."Then I guess I will die trying. With or without your help!"
She crossed her arms."I want to live,and so I will try!" Her lips quivered,not wanting to do it alone but she knew he would never help. Her eyes filled with tears again.

"Look, Layla, the last thing I want is for you to die, but if you're going to go out there, into monster infested streets, I want no part of it. If you wanted to live as long as possible, you wouldn't go out there."

"Where was that helicopter going?" Her eyes turned brown while she pulled her blonde hair into a ponytail then she wripped the sleeves off of her shirt and wrapped them around her fist.

"To a safe zone across the ocean."

"Got it.But we need to secure this place to hold off mutants for a little while." She stands up. "My uncle Crome was an engineer. I can make something quickly.Aunt Annie tought me to create weapons and tools from spiritual powers." She looks at him with serious eyes. "Andrew....either you help me or you don't....it doesn't matter to me...but all we can do is try,and not await our deaths. At lease die trying."

"What do you mean by spiritual powers? You're not some half-crazy person are you?"

"Said the furry wolf creature...." She sighs." By spiritual power I mean something like this..." She holds her hand out as a sword appeared. " I never was quite sure what she meant though. I would toon her out." She sat near Andrew. "Now will you help me?"

"Hey, we make up at least half of the population, that's just weird what you did," he examined the sword, "Fine. How do we start?"

She glares at him for a few moments then sighs."First off,we need this place safe for a couple of minutes.If possible I also wanna catch a mutant.I might be able to find a killing source. For now we just need this place really safe!"

"You're kidding, right? They roam in packs. Just one can kill a squad of soldiers."

She quickly baricated the doors and set a some traps."Hm....so they travel in packs,can take out a helicopter, 'make the dead rise', Nearly is hard to kill one.Hmmm I know where is came from but I don't know what created them."

"Don't forget their ability to jump over 100 feet to have gotten the helicopter in the first place. Also, arms that have turned into swords sharp enough to cut into a helicopter," Andrew reminded, "What kind of traps and barricades did you set?"

"Spiritual. I will scence them coming.Plus the barrier...It will break but it will give me time." She sighs and looks for scraps.

"Well," he started piling as much stuff in front of the stairs as he could given the fact that he has a broken arm.
