Summer's rolling around and I want to gripe about it.
It's only twenty measly degrees right now (68F) and I'm already dying. I know it gets much hotter in other places, and even here (95F by June), but. listen. my Canadian body is made of ice and crystallized maple syrup. I can't live like this.
@people who live in hot countries: how do you do it without wanting to peel all your skin off?

I live in the American South, and the answer is: from June to August I just want to peel all my skin off. ;; It was 92 yesterday, and it's only May. I stay in the air conditioning a lot, stand in the sprinkler a lot, and try to do anything outdoors before 10 AM and after 7 PM! Also fans. Fans in every room of the house.
This winter was super warm so I know this summer's going to be even worse, though, and I am NOT ready.

*points at Lyse's post* This. But I'm in the Deep South, like near the coast, so my days are already as hot as can be, especially at night. It even started heating up around April. However, I was born in this state and lived here for who knows how long, and all I can say is that I know your pain so much. Fall can't come soon enough for me.
But how do I do it? Pfft, I stay indoors. //shot Even though I want to crank up the AC so bad, setting it at the standard non power-wasting temperature and having a fan on you works wonders.

We hit 90F in the Netherlands yesterday and it's not even June yet lol. Air conditioning is typically not a thing in Dutch homes so I'm stuck with the good ol' fan. I'm also more inclined towards cold weather (I get sick very easily in heat and it wrecks my blood sugars like no tomorrow). My apartment is also the top apartment, flat roof, with the majority of the apartment facing full on South and having sun all. day. long. It's basically a greenhouse even on mild days.
The best way to deal with heat, for me, is to 1) don't overexert myself, 2) stay hydrated especially when I'm not a sack of potatoes doing nothing 3) keep my feet in a bowl of cold water and 4) try to do my chores either early in the morning before the heat hits hard, or in the evening when it's cooled down. The fan helps too.
(Tip: Cut the top off a soda bottle and make some holes along the edge. Put a hook into the holes then hang the bottles on the back of the fan. Fill with ice cubes, and voila, you have a cooling ice fan!)

Kansas summers vary greatly. One day it'll be mild, nice, and enjoyable, the next day it'll be so hot, I wanna die, the day after it'll be storming, sometimes this'll occur all in the same day.
I'm in the Eastern US, and it's supposed 91 degrees(f) here today. It was about 89/90 yesterday, and if it wasn't for the light breeze, it would be WAY too hot. As it is, I'm wearing dresses to work this week!!
Pro; my mom got a hammock for mother's day, so laying in that in the shade tonight is going to be wonderful!

I'm in central/eastern Canada and today is suppose to come up to 30 degrees (Celcius people, science uses celcius. No, Canada is not below freezing). Same thing yesterday, but we're suppose to have some cooling rain tonight. But then a week later we are back in heat waves again.
Thankfully I'm not in my grandparent's house without A/C.

In the mountains of North Carolina, I have seen it get up into the 100's. But just barely. This past week, we topped at 95.
I live in a tropical country so you can say it's like an oven here.
I'm from the heart of Phoenix, AZ so I'm used to summers getting upwards of 115F consistently... but I haven't lived in AZ since, like, 2012... I'm in Illinois now. Yesterday it was about 86, but I don't think that it's broken 100 in the entire time that I've lived here. It's nice, but it's so humid that it feels worse than what it is. I'm used to dry heat, not this soggy bullshit LOL
Oh, I live in Ecuador, and it's between 30-38 celcius here, which would mean about 80 to 100 F year round. Since we don't get seasons, the weather is mostly either sauna hot (during the rainy season because of the humidity), tolerably warm (most of the year), or blessedly fresh (just in the mornings and at night between july and november)
Hahahaha omg, I remember I used to feel so confused when people talked about degrees F online because I was used to speaking in Celcius since that's what we use as measure here. I would be like, 80 DEGREES OMG HOW ARE YOU ALIVE?

Then you definitely don't want to go by what it's like in the UK I always google stuff like that for specific cities.
UK weather can't make up its mind.
But it was really warm the other day and my god I was dying.
I don't do well in warm weather.
I just want winter back already.

It gets pretty toasty in Texas. TT v TT
At the moment, it's pretty tame, staying around the 84 - 86F temperatures.
I'm dreading the summer, though. Some of the hottest days in Texas can be up there in the 101 - 106 range depending where in Texas you live.

I'm glad that the general sentiment here is give us cold weather or give us death, lmao.
Given I live in Australia, the weather as you can imagine- is very hot in Summer, I do generally like Summer quite a lot, Autumn and Summer are ideal for me Winter can just get unbearable even if its only 20 celcius lmao.
It can get up to 50degrees celcius here in the Summer Its a killer without aircon.

I definitely plan to check the forecast for the specific city we'll be near as it gets closer to the trip. But I've never been out of the country before so I don't have any kind of starting point!
