What do you do when the creator of a series just completely destroys your absolute favorite character of said series? Took almost everything you loved about that character and smashed it into pieces. I was just wondering if any of you guys had to deal with something similar?
Most of the time I just stop watching or reading.
Always irritates me when they have a strong female lead and then just shoe horn them into a supporting role for no reason, Sword Art Online and Asuna being prime examples of what I mean.
If it is something you can adjust around then I think it would be worth it since it is a series you enjoy but otherwise it might just be worthwhile to find a new series to watch/read.
Hope that helped, pal.

Would Asuna happen to be from Negima?
Edit: never mind.

It makes the story more interesting. It shows a deeper and more realistic scenario as, often times, art imitates life. A multi-dimensional character is far more interesting than one that is blase and typical. It shows that people/characters can be dynamic. I applaud such notions and usually adore paradigm shifts if even on a singular scale.
I don't know why, but I feel like you're talking about Tokyo Ghoul: re, lmao.
Ultimately, I do nothing. It's their story. I'll think about it for a while; sometimes the break in character isn't as far-fetched as it initially seems. But if it really was just poor writing and it was enough to lose my interest, I'll stop reading.

You keep reading/watching and hope the character redeems themselves in your eyes.
Someone reading Asuna and thinking Negima before Sao, that's refreshing.
What manga?
I feel the same about Oyasumi Punpun.
