Elly ran across the clearing between the road and the forest. Her dress billowing behind her as she sprinted. ‘I’m gonna be late!’ She thought worriedly. The creatures of the forest were having a party today. To celebrate the blood moon later that night.
Her dark brown and blue eyes glimmered as she ran through a patch of evening light. A sparrow chirped nearby before leaping off its branch to fly next to her. “Can you run any faster?” The sparrow chirped into her ear as she ran.
“I’m going as fast as I can!” Elly said, holding the front of the skirt of her dress so that her dress wouldn’t snag on the plants and low branches. Her breaths were getting heavy. She was gonna have to get to the center of the forest as quickly as possible, or else she wouldn’t be able to join the party at all.
She reaches up and grabbed the softly glowing jewel from her hair and ran fast, letting go of her dress. The glowing grew as she got closer to the center of the forest. She stops just outside the clearing, looking around before stepping forward. A portal opened up as the glowing light on her jewel faded. She skips through the portal to come into the same clearing, animals filled the clearing. They all chattered excitedly as the moon rose in the sky. Barely peeking over the tree.
Elly lets out a sigh of relief she had made it. She bites her lip as she stepped past a few rabbits toward the large 3 Elks that stood at the other end of the clearing. The elks were who she needed to speak to because they were the protectors of this realm and she was to become a guardian of the realm which they could enter rarely. Though, no humans can actually get into this realm without a special jewel. Even Elly, who isn’t exactly human is believed to have to use the jewel or else she would turn into a mute animal.
She made her way through the crowd of animals to the 3 elks who turned their heads as she approached.
“Hello Sky, Earth, Sea. How are you today?” She smiled warmly at the elks she didn’t get to see often, about once a year like most of the animals. The three elks dipped their head slightly as she said their names. Their tails flicked before they answered, “You know we are as well as the Earth and Sky.” She nodded softly as she had expected the answer.
The elk named Earth was very pretty. She was covered in green fur that was much like grass and moss, her horns like branches on a tree, flowers, and vines growing along with them as flowers bloomed. Her hooves were the color of bark instead of black.
Sky had a form that wasn’t very firm, but she was even prettier. Her fur was blue, her horns white and raising up and fading together, becoming fluffy like a cloud. Her hooves were invisible, though she knew they were there by a soft outline that showed the outline of her lower legs and hooves. White splotches dappled her blue coat.
Sea was close to the same, though her form was constantly moving. His horns curling in like a wave. His eyes a deep blue that was almost black. His body was constantly moving like water.
“Are you ready to become more animal than human?” Sea asked Elly in his deep rumbling voice. Elly nodded excitedly as she looked into Sea’s dark eyes, a shiver running down her spine as she did so. Sea turned his head and looked at the other animals, “Come stand in front of me, Elly.”
Elly moved and stood in front of Sea, taking a deep breath as she felt the cool mist that surrounded Sea. “I grant you the strength and power of the waves of the sea, and with it, I grant you the ability to control the waves, though if you do not use this power wisely, it will swiftly be taken from thee.” Elly kept herself from jumping as she felt the ice cold touch of Sea’s nose on the back of her neck. Energy filled her body as she felt stronger.
Earth stepped forward as Sea stepped back. “I grant you the ability to heal yourself and others. Though in death you must find the light. Never raise one from the dead. I give you the power to grow plants with a single step or wave of your hand. Use this wisely, for the trees and plants are more destructive than many would think. Never use these powers unless needed.” Elly’s body relaxed as the scent of the forest surrounded her. The tension in her body left as she shivers as the tension left her body.
Last, but not least, Sky stepped forward. “I give you the power of a hurricane, to make those who fear the sky tremble and cower away from you if they mean you any harm. From now on you’ll be able to control the atmosphere and air around you to bend to your will. But only when I think it is okay to do so.” A flying feeling coursed through Elly as she shut her eyes, feeling the brush of a breeze on her back where Sky’s nose touched her neck. The thrill of flying filled her.
As her last power was granted, the other two stepped forward and pressed their noses on Elly’s neck at once. Instantly she felt her body change and become smaller. Striped brown fur burst from her skin. 4 tails formed behind her. Her hands and feet turning into paws. Her nose and mouth elongating into a muzzle. Ears moved to the top of her head, and when she opened her eyes she was no longer human. Magic glimmered in her eyes. Her 4 tails moving on their own.
She looked at the many animals that surrounded her to see they were all staring in disbelief and wonder as the elks pulled their noses away from her, “Protect this world with your life and don’t let anyone stop you.” They said at the exact same time as the moon dipped down in the sky. And the atmosphere around her faded away. Till she was back in the forest. But she was still in her striped brown fox form.
She blinked a few times before standing up on her four legs. It felt as natural as breathing. She trotted so she wasn’t in the middle of the clearing. Each tail swinging in different directions, but never tangling together.

Nani sits in a tree, in awe from what she had just witnessed. She had seen ceremonies before...but nothing like that! It was amazing! She just had to get to know that girl! She seemed...really awesome! Nani jumped out of the tree, following the girl. How was she going to do this? She had never really interacted before...She was scared to...Nani stopped in her tracks. Was this a bad idea? Was she ready to socialize? Every time she try to make a new friend, she messes it up somehow...I mean, she seemed nice, right..? Nani decided to try, but wasn't so sure about the whole situation. Nani approaches the girl, nervous. "H-Hello...M-My name's N-Nani.."
Elly stops in her tracks as she heard someone talking to her and turns to face Nani. Her 4 tails fluffing up a little before she calms down and moves closer. "Hi Nani! I'm Elly." She smiles a fox-toothed smile and leans back, before she sits back onto her rump. Her 4 tails held a little high and wagging a little excitedly. Her blue-gold eyes study Nani.
Her large brown paws tuck in front of her as she tries to sit up straight, and have a nice posture. "What're you doing out here?"

"O-Oh..I just watched y-your transformation and thought....'Hey, she's seems pretty cool!' a-and decided to say, 'Hi.'." Nani smiles nervously, trying not to mess up.
Elly smiles. "Thank you! I'm glad you liked it. Though, I wouldn't call myself that cool..." She reaches up with a paw and rubs her right ear, feeling them heat up with a bit of embarrassment. She hadn't been called cool before. Heck, she doesn't really have any friends other than the animals she knows.
"Wanna hang out?" She asks and leans foreard before standing up.
"Wanna hang out?" She asks and leans foreard before standing up.
"Y-Yeah! Sure!" Nani says, wagging her cat tail and standing up. "Where to?" Nani asks, looking around.
"I'm pretty sure there's a lake nearby we can go to." She replied as she stands up straight. Her tails wagging a little. "We can go swimming."
Elly smiles and turns to lead the way. "This way." She says softly and goes into a soft trot. "So, how old are you?" She asks out of curiousity.
Elly smiles softly. "It's fine. People think I'm insane even though I'm not. So, yeah." She chuckles softly. And slows so that Nani could walk beside her. "I'm 17, so I'm still in school for about another year, but it's summer break right now."
"It's okay for the most part." She replied, an unrecognizable tone slipping into the edge of her voice. "Did you like school?" She asks, looking over at her.
"Oh....I...uh...never went to school....I've heard about it...but I've never gone..." Nani says, sadly. "I mean.....I couldn't exactly just go there, anyways....I don't have a human form, so that's out of the question...and...." Nani's voice gets shaky towards the end of the sentence and her ears flop back when she is about to say the second reason.
Elly looks to her and pauses. "It's alright if you didn't don't worry. If you don't wanna tell me it's fine." She reaches out and softly puts a paw on her shoulder bwfoee pulling it off. "You're my friend, and that's all that matters."
Nani looks up hopefully. "T-Thanks...I've never had a friend like you.." Nani smiles to herself.
Elly smiles and softly rubs her fox muzzle against her, "Thanks, I'd have to say you're one of my first friends who isn't just a bird." She chuckles softly to herself. Her ears perking on her head as she glances around.
Realizing that the pond was only a few feet away she smiles. "Come onn, the ponds not far now. Just a few leaps and we'll be there!" She said before she turn to run in the direction which the lake was at. "Last one there is a rotten egg!" She barks with a smile.

Elly continues to run forward. A smile forming onto her lips. As the lake comes into view.
(Since I have permission to join in this RP, this looks and sounds like a good spot to bring my character in.)
Somewhere a bit far away from both Elly and Nani, there was a man dressed in adventurer's clothing of green, blue, and brown as he was meditating deeply with his eyes closed the lake's edge, sitting in indian-style while the wind gently blows on his body. He has short forest green hair and light green eyes, and has slightly tanned skin. On his back and the right side of his waist he has two weapons on him, a large bow on his back and a large sword in it's scabbard.
The man continues to mediate peacefully and deeply, it would be difficult to snap him out of his trance, but in actuality he's gathering and releasing magical power within himself into the ground, making flowers and thin long vines to grow beside him. In addition, there's two shiny objects in the lake that can be seen on the lake's surface, shining with a strong piercing light that no one can't miss it. They're gemstones with a light blue aura flowing out of them.
