The sting came, as Himler warned. The Revenant shrugged it off, compared to some of what he's been through, it was barely worth the attention. The circle glowed as the Ritual was performed.

Potillo shook her head. "No." She replied. "I'm certain he's fine." Said the remaining Honorguard. "We don't become Honorguard by being easily captured or killed." He said. "How go the fortifications?" Potillo asked.

Wilhelm looked to her with eyes full of unease.
"I know their training is the best. But this is taking too long." He looks at her desk and shelves. Collections of all sorts of books regarding myths and frankly fairy tales. "The fortifications are good. We could hold off against a marauding horde. Simple undead would need a miracle to breakthrough." He says seemingly to try and encourage himself as well.

Potillo nodded. "With luck these fortifications will not be needed." Potillo said.


The ritual continued, with the end of the ritual quickly approaching.

After several moments of chanting Himler collapses and the ritual ends. The magical glow fades and purple sparks fade as this occurs.
"It is done." The Necromancer says panting and coming to his feet.

"Good." The Revenant said, as he stepped out of the circle. "Prepare your horde." He ordered.

Himler looks up from his drained state on the dusty floor.
"The horde has been waiting. Are you sure about this? We only have one shot if we attempt this?" He asks expressing doubt in the Revenant's plans

"I'm certain our forces can overwhelm them. Particularly once your Chimera can tear through the gates." The Revenant said. "After all, you have been raiding them for two weeks, and have been killing off their troops. The only things we have to worry about are the Paladins." The Revenant said. "Let's get moving." He added, before he turned to leave.

"If nothing else our lord has faith in your combat and battle prowess. I do hope he hasn't misplaced that faith." He says following along. The undead swarm gathered in the woods as the two Chimera followed Himler and the one in the cavern entrance made it's way to the front. Meanwhile the outpost was fortified and Wilhelm stood in the warehouse over looking stock as he pondered the whole ordeal.

The Horde marched through the forest. The animals of the forest instinctively fled or went in to hiding, as the snarls, rattling bones, and and the gravelly groans of the undead and the Chimeras.

Heinrich let out a snarl. "Something isn't right." He said. "I don't hear any of the animals." Heinrich said. "That's bad I assume?" Jackie asked.

The area was tentative and quiet. Something wasn't right as guards patrolled the walls and the fortified walls and locked gates brought a feeling of fear to the people there. Like being behind a blockade. Wilhelm wandered out and found Heinrich and Jackie. He shook his head.
"There's something not right I know. I feel it. A feeling in the air."

"So I'm not the only one to notice." Heinrich said. "Think the undead are moving?" Heinrich asked.

The Revenant got to a vantage point that over looked the outpost. "Have th arhcers open fire, and have the Chimera charge the main gates." The Revenant snarled.

"I would think so. But there's. Something else. Something else out there it's darker than them but somehow... Familiar?" He says looking confused.

Himler took up a position with the Revenant and through his telepathic link gave out his command. There were a total of twelve archers. Needing to use the newer ore meaty corpses for archers the necromancer stationed them along the forest line targeting a wall. It was very well fortified. Several guards sat atop. Two of the Chimera got in position ready to charge with the undead while a second force moved to the opposite gate and had seven archers with their own slightly smaller force. After the large one struck the second would strike a likely weakened wing.
"The outpost is well fortified." Himler said worries. "With your command they fire and charge." He says allowing the Revenant to initiate the attack.

"Afraid your forces will fail?" The Revenant asked. "ATTACK!" The Revenant bellowed, not really caring if Himler answered or not. The Chimeras roared as they charged forward, followed by the Undead. The Archers amongst the guards took aim, before the undead archers opened fire, launching a volley of arrows at the outpost.

"THE UNDEAD ARE COMING!" Shouted one of the guards, before the arrows hit, taking out several guards on the walls.

The volley of arrows struck the guards on the wall killing three and wounding two. Seeing one fall from the roof and hearing the call of about the undead charging a guard on the ground rings the bell. The clunking of the bell echoes along as several more rang. Guards poured to the walls as arrows were shot down to the charging chimera and numerous undead. Hearing the alarm Wilhelm breaks out into the courtyard.
"They attack us?" He questions as an arrow flies over the wall and lands nearby his feet.

"It would seem so." Heinrich said, following. Jackie stuck close to them aswell. The Chimera were hit by a majority of the arrows, but that didn't stop them. They rammed into the gates roaring and snarling as they slammed themselves at the gates repeatedly. The Guards quickly ushered the few traders, travelers, and other non combatants inside away from the courtyard.

"Get ready for them!" Heinrich ordered, drawing his axe. Jackie drew her shield and sword. Another roar escaped the Chimera before they finally threw themselves into the gate one last time. The gates broke, shards, and splinters of wood, and old metal flying everywhere as the Chimera charged into the Courtyard, followed by the horde. The two Chimera charged the Paladins.

As the gate was smashed in the large number of undead started to pour in. Letting loose a fierce cry the Chimera charged. Unknown to them the other wall was now attacked. Archers pelted a volley of arrows over the wall hitting some guards who were shooting into the courtyard. The weakened wall was taken by surprise and the third Chimera slammed down the gate letting dozens more undead to pour in like the festering tide they were. As Wilhelm and Heinrich took on the on their front the third went for their backs roaring like the feral monstrosity it was. Wilhelm normally could have fought off one of these alone but with the undead swarming and dividing his attention and groups ran into the settlement he was having trouble. He grunted as he heard the second approaching before a roar from the one he was locked with sent the smell of decaying flesh and burnt oil into his face. He had his sword clenched in the beasts jaws holding it back as it clawed for him.

Heinrich swung his axe into the oncoming horde, slicing several undead clean in half, before one of the Chimera charged him. "OOF!" Heinrich grunted as the Chimera rammed into him. The Chimera released him, backing up to charge again. The Chimera roared as it launched itself forward. Heinrich side stepped it, allowing hte Chimera to barrel through a few undead. He soon noticed the Chimera that had Wilhelm pinned. He snarled and charged forward, slicing through any and all undead that got in his way. He held his axe in the air and brought it down on the Chimera holding Wilhelm. The blade sliced through the chimera, bisecting it at the waist, before Heinrich rammed it with his shoulder, shoving the Chimera off Wilhelm.

Jackie thrust her hand out, casting her blizzard spell. The freezing winds hit the undead and froze them with little trouble, before Jackie smashed through them with her sword. She froze when the second gate was smashed through, turning to see a third chimera lumbering through the undead straight for her. She let out a scream, managing to dodge its charge. Jackie shot out another blizzard, trying to freeze the Chimera. She froze the undead around it, and the ground it stood on, but the Chimera was too strong for the thin layer of ice to hold it, and its body too warm to be further frozen. It spun around, swing a chunk of metal it ripped from one of the gates. Jackie managed to dodge the chunk of metal, before one of the Chimera's large hands locked around her waist. She yelped a sshe was torn from the ground by the Chimera. It roared as it slammed her in the ground.

The Chimera was sliced just above the waist and being slammed back it oozed out the thick black blood. It weakly moved somehow still alive as it snarled. The undead however were starting to cause trouble in the outpost. Several guards were torn apart. The Chimera that attacked Heinrich was set upon by guards who were briskly killed and some devoured at least partially. The beast roared out as it charged and managed to slam into Heinrich while he was distracted. Impacting him and sending him flying Wilhelm lopped off the beasts right hand but swinging around it slammed him with its waist and the sound of Jackie hitting the ground stood out to Wilhelm. He looked over to see her impact the ground. Coughing up some blood as the Chimera went to bite down on her head. Lunging for her Wilhelm started chanting and generating a light he channeled into his sword pointed it to the Chimera and shouted.
"Holy arrow!" With this a blast of holy energy shot out of the sword and blasted the Chimera off Jackie. It flew for several meters before rolling. It crushed three undead archers who entered and pelted the Paladins with arrows.

Jackie dropped to the ground from the Chimera's grip when it was hit. She coughed, coughing out some more blood. She rolled onto her belly and tried to get to her feet. "H-Help." She whimpered, unable to stand.

"Damnable Beast!" Heinrich snarled, as the Chimera swung at him. He ducked under its swing. He swung upward with his axe, slicing the Chimera's arm clean from its body. The Chimera wailed as it clutched where its arm used to be. Heinrich let out a ferocious war cry as he swung his axe again, slicing through the Chimera's legs. With the Chimera out of hte way, Heinrich focused on the undead. He tore through the horde. Due to his strength, and training, the undead were no match for him. As Heinrich fought the few remaining guards began to fight harder as well, and soon the Horde's numbers were beginning to dwindle.

On a small cliff over looking the outpost, an enraged roar erupted from the Revenant, as he swung his fist into one of the undead Archers that remained with him and Himler killing it almost instantly. The Revenant drew his sword and killed the other archers, before facing Himler. His fist slammed into Himler, throwing the old Necromancer into a tree. A loud crack could be heard as bones broke. "PATHETIC!" The Revenant roared, his eyes glowing like fire. He attacked the surroundings, destroying trees and rocks as he let his rage out, before sheathing his sword. The Revenant turned, his eyes still glowing with rage. "You said your Chimera would over power the Paladins!" He spat. "You said the Paladins wouldn't stand a chance against the three, and yet, not only are the Paladins still standing, but the only one of those DAMNED Paladins that might not get back up is the CHILD! THE WEAKEST OF THEM ALL!" The Revenant roared. "And now without the Chimera as the backbone of your WORTHLESS Horde WE'RE LOSING!" The Revenant growled.

Slammed against against the tree Himler felt several of his limbs broke. He coughed up blood on the Revenant's face. Being lifted against the tree and held there with the sword in his face filled him with fear. This insane undead warrior would probably cut him down. He grasped at the wrist around his neck.
"Your tactic." He gagged. "Your tactic failed us. You went in too soon. Nice to see how much you fought. Was a waste of time using that ritual on you." He spat blood at him face. "You can tell our lord this. That you screwed up." He glares looking and probably thinking he has the high ground in this situation.
