I keep redoing my character pages because I can't decide whether to list stuff as bullet points, or in a line just separated by commas. Bullet points are easier to see, but make the page really long, comma lists are more compact but can be difficult to read through if there's too many things 8') Which do you find better?

In fact, how do you go about ordering the whole page? I like everything neat and orderly, so try and divide sections up as much as I can. Now I feel like that's too clinical and doesn't give a good sense of my characters though OTL

I've found that widgets and columns help me out a lot. I think it makes my character profiles look neater. It also took me a while to figure out how much text to put in each widget before they got too text heavy, but I feel like it's very much a matter of personal preference.
Eveline is a good example on how I think a character profile looks neat and orderly, but again - it's very much up to personal preference and aesthetics, lol.

I use a lot of text widgets too, but I totally forgot about columns! Thanks for mentioning them :)

Eveline's profile is very nice btw, I like how you organised it. Btw (saw what you wrote about Chinese culture) if you ever need info on Hong Kong specifically, feel free to hmu. My mum's from there. (I mention Hong Kong by itself because the climate there vs the mainland is pretty different)
It's completely up to personal preference, but I've taken to putting everything on a single page (example) and using columns and such to organize information. I err on the side of less than more detail, since I've found in the past that a) people don't like to read my text walls and b) it's more fun to reveal things in the roleplay, anyways.

The format you see here is pretty standard for most my characters. I try to break it up into sections and if I think something is too wall of text, I don't a picture. Pictures help break it up a lot :).
i feel you on the whole dividing thing and it feeling too clinical. i used to be a stickler for a picture per section of text, and putting dividers in everything, and really really fancy shmancy stuff and bbcode just all over, but i've started to just get more complacent. best way to illustrate it is like the difference from gwyn to vilen. really, though, a lot of it depends on the character and the character profile. if i copy and pasted stuff from gwyn's profile to vilen's, it wouldn't look right, because the columns would reformat in the provided space and stuff.

i also like to make my profiles relate to my character's sort of worlds or personalities or whatever. rps w/ gwyn tend to be really extravagant and have deep plots and overarching themes, and rps w/ vilen tend to be slice of life or comedic criminal partnerships. but yeah, columns are always good. i've started to shy away from a lot of [ img align = ] type things and go for a more vertical look, but i kinda think that's just personal preference
Most of my characters don't have their own page here on RPR. Instead, I've put characters that belong together, and can't work on their own, in one page. The first page will then be about their world in general terms, the next will be a quick character overview - who's who and who's related and how. A third page will be supportive characters, who exist in the world and might be of importance. I have plans to make a third page of personal histories, but it's a work in progress.

Those character I have that do stand alone have their first page to be general information, preferably just bullet points for a quick overview. The second page will be their history, and the third page may either be a gallery or some information on the world they live in.

I try not to put too much text in the pages, partly because I don't want them to be too heavy to read, but also because I don't want my RP partner to know everything.
