James and Rose Hetfi (played by KansasVenomoth)

On a cool morning, James and Rose made their way through the capital, on the outside they looked like the ordinary loving siblings, though deep down, they were masking a terrible secret. Most of the people avoiding Rose, giving her dirty looks, some talked about her behind her back. Rose was trying everything she could not to cry at the moment, "It's okay, Rose..." James said softly, hugging his sister softly, only to receive more looks from the townsfolk. It's not like she chose this life.

After a while, they were confronted by a group of villagers, angrily glaring at the unbreakable siblings. "Why do you care for such a monster? She's going to kill you soon enough!" A woman from the back shouted, as another man shouted, "You two get out of our little town. We don't need a witch sympathizer in the town!" Tears slowly trickled down Rose's face, James' anger was slowly rising, "J-Just shut up!" He slowly reached for the sword at his side, "Oh, so you're going to defend that little witch, are you?" An older man shouted with an angry glare.

"S-She's not a witch! She's my little sister, you idiots! It's not like she chose this!" James shouted back. It was obvious he wouldn't be able to hold back his anger, his hand shook on the hilt of the sword. "B-Brother, d-d-don't do it.. This i-isn't worth i-i-it." Rose placed her hand on her brother's sword arm, still in tears. “You don’t want to do this.” James hands were shaking, tears streamed down his face, full of anguish and hatred towards the townspeople. Without intervention, the scene would likely turn deadly. The situation only continued to get deadlier as people continued tossing things at the siblings. Rose's dress was caked in dirt, blood, and grime. James' outfit was also covered in dirt, grime, and blood. Perhaps it wasn't the wisest of ideas to travel through a religious center of the nation where people consider magic to be demonic or evil.

It would be difficult for anyone to completely miss the ruckus and booing in the street, even if the scene so happens to play out in this lively place. Especially if one is a bit sensitive to the morale of the people, it's not difficult to quickly figure out what exactly is going on from a distance, even if you tune in late.

Amidst the growing crowd, a young man is stood; Not on the front line, and not eager to push his way through to that position, either. Something feels like morbid curiosity though, and that is perhaps what has prompted the lightly-clad lad to try and get a peek at the victims of the populace's disgust. Few things are capable of evoking this sort of mass emotion, and the whispers of the people around him soon confirm his supicions. He leans from side to side and cranes his neck, eventually getting glimpses of-

Two youths, it would seem. Though the locals may know and recognise them, the curious man had only heard of rumours so far. With initial curiosity somewhat sated, the man is prepared to fall back a little with a small frown in place. After all, it seems some people are eager to get to the front with various items in hand- Munitions? The man's grey eyes focus a little as the scenario quickly unfolds.

Antsy, a little anxious, and overall just very restless - His weight shifts from one side to the other to reflect this, while he admittedly does feel safe behind this wall of people. It's enough to keep him where he stands, before one of the targeted seems to reach for his weapon. The hand appears unstable, but that doesn't make the sword any less dangerous. If anything, a sword in the hands of an emotional boy is about double a threat. It is here where the dark-haired man's anxiousness is about to hit a limit of sorts.

Isenn is a man of the people. Maybe that's why he keeps his panicked hiss a little quiet when he suddenly reaches to grab the wrist of one of the attackers on the front, before another stone could be tossed by that hand.

"Earth and Sky, man! Do you want to force them into cursing us all? Don't be so careless to take a witch's life without thinking!"

Hushed as he tries to keep that harsh whisper, the frantic action is probably enough to broadcast his sentiment; A contrast amongst the frontline: A guy more scared than angry trying to keep casualties amongst the locals to a minimum, by attempting to force one party to reconsider their own provoking actions.

"For the last damn time, she's not a witch!" James retorted angrily, dangerously close to snapping at this point. "She's an innocent human girl, dammit!" His sword shaking in his hand as he prepared to attack. Rose was sobbing at this point, clinging to her brother's arm as she continued trying to talk him out of it, but with little success. The crowd looked upon the newcomer with a bit of disgust, "Mind your own business, kid. This ain't none of your concern." An older man shouted at the newcomer, "Now, step aside!" James glared at the people, his anger continuing to build up.
