Rogue felt him stir but she didnt wake up. It was the best sleep she had had in forever and she wasnt about to loose it to Nitro waking up. Snuggling closer to his body, she buried her head further in his chest and soon stopped moving.

He sighed and knew he couldn't just wake her up. He picked her up carefully in his arms and walked out of the building with her. The sky was dark and his eyes scanned everywhere,finding no threat. He began to carry her.

The hunter from earlier was on their trail again. He wsnt about to give up since that girl was worth alot of bounty. Fifty thousand for one girl they said and when he didnt get her the first timw because of that guy, they had raised it to seventy five. He would have to take out the boy too if he wanted the girl. So why not toss in another twenty five? Now he was silently following the two as the boy made his way out of the building with the girl.

Rogue felt herself being lifted and she gripped onto the closest thing so that it didnt feel like she was falling. Which happened to be Nitro's shirt. Putting her head on his chest, she listened to his heartbeat and wanted to wake up so he didnt have to carry her. But she couldnt make her body coperate with her. "You..dont have to carry me.." she said quietly but loud enough for him to hear.

"Well maybe I want to carry you." He smiled and had a good grip on her. His body language showed that he didn't trust the surrounding at the moment. If anyone was within thirty to forty-five feet near them,he would know. He felt tense because he knew something wasn't right,but he also wasn't one to be messed with.

Rogue blushed lightly and a smile graced her lips, forcing her blue eyes open to look up at Nitro. "Did you get enough rest?" she asked and tried hard not to let her eyes close again. Exhaustion far beyond what she was used to was pulling at her though.

The hunter heard murmurings and he closed the distance quickly between him and the other two. Taking out his knife, he went for the boys throat as his arm went to wrap around his neck.

A few seconds befor,his eyes turned a really light green. He ducked under and laid her down softly with care,but still quickly.

I can either kill him,or make him feel more pain. I choose pain.

He got in a fighting stance and smiled a little. "You do know that you just attempted of murder? I may not be one of the good guys by I am surely not a bad guy."

The hunter watched where he set the girl down and narrowed his eyes. He needed her not the boy. If he could, he would spare the boys life to get the girl. He just wanted to get this done as quick as possible. Looking at the boy, he swung his fist going for a hard right hook.

Rogue forced her body into waking up as she was put down. Slowly sitting up, she saw the man from before and flinched at the memory of his strength. Then he looked away and up at Nitro who was in a fighting stance. Slowly getting onto her feet, she stood a little ways behind Nitro in case she either had to help him or anything.

Nitro dodged it with ease and grabbed the man's wrist. Nitro didn't mind a fight because that was just something that was almost as good as racing. He twisted the man's arm until his elbow was facing upward then he slammed the palm of his hand againts the elbow and broke it,not to mention dislocating his shoulder. Nitro had hardly any emotion,but there was joy in his eyes.

The hunter let out a yell and fell to one knee, holding his arm to his side. His breathing now coming in pants. Grabbing Nitro's leg however, he jerked it out from under with his good arm. Rogue watched and took several steps toward them whenever Nitro's leg was grabbed. She had also seen the joy in his eyes of causing the man pain. It scared her in a way. The hunter snapped his eyes onto Rogue who was now much closer and in grabbing range. His body tensed as he readied himself to grab her once she took just one more step..

Nitro chuckled in a slightly demented way. He had been traveling without joy for a long time and he was now starting to have his fun. He was not going to let Rogue get hurt without him first dying. He stood up and stepped on the mans hand. He looked at her with a sick smirk that even said he was having fun. "Step back a little. I don't want you getting hurt." He cracked his knuckles and kicked the man hard in his jaw,dropkicked his head,then he did his signiture move. Quickly flipping up and balancing on his shoulder,which gave him more force to dislocate his other shoulder and hopped off befor side donkey kicking the back of his head by balaning on his arm.

He displayed how brutal he could be but he wasnt even trying.

Rogue stepped away from the two and watched in horror at the pain Nitro was causing the man. She wouldnt want that kind of pain bestowed upon anyone. Not even those who hurt her. The hunter yelled out several times out of pain and was soon lying in the dirt not attempting to move. His whole body was shaking out of the pain and he passed out from it.
Rogue had backed herself against a tree and was squeezing her eyes shut. Gripping the bark of the tree hard as if she couldve felt that mans pain. It had been horrific to watch and she was terrified of the sick joy she had saw in Nitro's eyes.

Soon as Nitro calmed himself down he looked at her and shook his head. "I'm and idiot..." He couldn't believe that he had been so brutal in front of her. He walked to her and laid a soft hand on her shoulder. "I'm sorry you had to see that. I am only a human monstrosity of my former self. I'm disgusted with myself." He used his other hand to touch her cheek.

Rogue flinched at first when he touched her shoulder and she squeezed her eyes shut tighter. Afraid was an understatement. She had never seen someone so brutal about beating a person. Even at the camp they hadnt been so bad. Though they had used sticks and rocks sometimes but never had they held out the pain on someone so long. Slowly, she opened her eyes when his hand touched her cheek softly. Without thinking, she leaned into his touch on her cheek even after what she had just seen. Somehow, she trusted him even when he got that joyful sick look in his eyes. Slowly reaching her hand up, she brushed the bangs from his eyes and looked at them. Relaxing when she didnt see the sick joy look in his eyes.

He stroked her cheek and pulled her close. "I'm really sorry..." He picked her up and continued walking with her. His eyes could only point down at the ground though.

Rogue closed her eyes lightly when he stroked her cheek then opene them when he pulled her close. A squeak of surprise left her lips when he picked her up and she held onto him tightly. Though she noticed he wasnt looking at her at all. Not that she wanted him to look at her all the time but it seemed he was trying to avoid her completely exvept for physical contact obviously. Reaching up, she turned his head to look at her eyes and she was quiet for a moment before deciding to say something. "It scared me Nitro.. That look in your eyes.. The way you dragged out the pain..please..dont do it again..or while im around at least.." she whispered loud enough for him to hear.

"That shall be a great Challenge for me,but I will try...for you." Nitro blushed and stopped walking and kissed her,which was a surprise to himself as well.

Rogue tensed in surprise but slowly relaxed and her eyes drifted shut. Kissing Nitro back, she softly ran her thumb along his cheek. When he pulled away, she looked up into his eyes. "Thank you.." she murmured.

His cheeks were bright red as he nodded. "Yeah...let's keep moving." He continued to walk,still blushing. So many thoughts of her went through his mind.

After a while, she looked up at Nitro and smiled. "I can walk Nitro," she said and motioed for him to put her down. Not that she didnt enjoy him carrying her but she felt like a burden when he did.

"oh,fine." He sighed and put her down then stopped,and looked around. "Hm...um...so..we have people after you and me..so...um...doesn't that mean they may team up? If they do...we are screwed."
