Rogue thought for a moment and nodded slowly. "Yep we're screwed. Better make the most of what time we have left huh?" she joked with a smile. Nudging Nitro's side playfully and smiling up at him. The kiss he had given her, made her feel relaxed and carefree so she was a bit on the playfull side.

He chuckled and pats her head. "I guess you're right." He smiled and started humming a song that he had really liked. His mother sang it to him befor she died and his wife use to sing it to his daughter.

Rogue listened to the song and suddenly hugged Nitro around the neck. Putting her head on his shoulder, she hugged him tightly for a long minute before looking around behind him. The train tracks would be close by so they could catch a train there. Trains were the safest way to get around now.

Nitro sighed a little,having a slight tired look in his eyes. He had to admit to himself that he kinda liked her a lot. He swore in his mind that he would always protect her.

Rogue lightly placed a soothing and gentle kiss on his neck before pulling away. Taking his hand, she gently pulled him towards the near by train tracks. Approaching the track, she sat down next to it then layed back. Exhausted in the cool, grass. "We can wait for a train and catch a ride," she said quietly but loud enough for Nitro to hear. Still holding his hand, her layin back made him have to sit down at least. The stars were bright and many in the almost black sky above them.

Nitro still had his head down,playing back every brutal memory of him nearly beating the man till he would soon be six feet under. He felt sinful and he wished death upon himself for hurting another. But soon death will cast its net upon him.

Rogue frowned and pulled Nitro down to where he was laying down. Then she leaned over him and looked down at him. "Nitro? Hey. Are you okay? Nitro?" she asked in a quiet concerned voice. Putting her hand on his cheek, she lightly ran her thumb along it. Worry was etched into her features.

Nitro sighed and looked at her. He turned his head somewhere else and looked else where. He still felt like and idiot. He could smell a bit of blood on his pants and hands.

Rogue frowned a bit and sat back, feeling ignored. With a sigh, she got up and walked away a couple of paces before running a hand through her white hair. She didnt understand why Nitro was acting that way.

Nitro's brutality only gave him memories of what he was running away from. He felt stupid and like and idiot. He sighed and was killing himself over and over again as the memory played.

Rogue sat down where she stood and plucked at the grass absent-mindedly. A second later a gun shot filled the silence followed by a yell of pain. Rogue fell onto her back, gripping her shoulder hard. Blood seeped out between her fingers and she gritted her teeth with her eyes squeezed shut.

His eyes widened as he quickly got up and pulled her close. He wasn't about to ask a stupid question like, "Are you okay?" when it's obvious she could be in pain. He felt that strange edge of killing someone. He wanted to kill someone. His anger spiked and his eyes slowly turned brown as he traced the bullet back in the direction it was shot from.

Rogue's whole shoulder was filled with a burning pain and she was barely staying sane. Groaning in pain, she tried to sit up but it was a failed attempt as the pain kept her down. The hunter from earlier was obviously not going down till he was dead since he was standing at the treeline with a gun held tightly in his hand. His hand was shaking badly and he cursed as he realized he had missed her heart by a couple of centimeters.
Rogue used her free hand to grip Nitro's shirt in pain.

His voice seemed upset,as if he had a pain or something he was holding back as well. "I'm pretty sure there are plenty more people who could shoot at you around here...let me just get rid of one. Ya'know...to ease the pain." He moved her hand from her wound and pressed down on it hard,making it hurt badly for a few seconds then the pain began to ease. He cracked his now more bloody knuckles and looked at the hunter.

Nitro started to walk towards him with his fist balled up and his eyes covered by his hair. He was happy the people after him would gather up befor getting him. It gave him more time to run. Nitro seemed to be upset,judging by his demented way of walking to someone.

Rogue whimpered softly as he pressed down harder on it then relaxed a tiny bit as the pain started to ease away. Though she had to keep her hand over it so it didnt keep bleeding. She was already starting to feel light headed from blood loss. Though she watched Nitro approach the man, this time looking away ahead of time knowing what to expect now.

The hunter dropped his gun in fear and backed away in a limp. Though he ran into a tree and couldnt seem to get away from it in time.

"Life is worth more then money could ever be worth. So why didn't you give up when you had the brightest time to. I thought that warning would have stopped you." Nitro picked the male up with one hand and a sick look. He dropped him hard just for the heck of and went behind him,while wrapping his arms around his neck. "I hope you prayed."

Nitro quickly snapped the males neck while out of the natural human body would react by spitting up blood. The crack was loud enough as is,and blood soon drenched Nitro's arms. "Dammit. I can't help but to kill. No matter what." He walked back over to Rogue and sighed.

Rogue heard him walking back over and she looked to him, seeing the dark liquid covering his arms. Somehow it didnt bother her so much anymore and she found herself pulling him into the grass beside her. Where she moved her body close to him and leaned into him. He was the comfort she needed and wanted at the moment. "Nitro...i really like you..please dont ignore me.." she murmured quietly. Blood soaked into Nitro's shirt from where her shoulder was touching him. Putting as much pressure as she could, it hadnt stopped or slowed yet.

Nitro sighed. "So you like me a lot...but I have grown to love you. I beg myself not to kill people on sight when you get hurt,but I can't..."

Rogue put her head on his chest and listened to his heart beat. "Nitro..i dont care anymore..its slightly disturbing but i need you..i want you.." she whispered the last part and looked at the grass knowing that it was night and he couldnt see the blush. But it was there and she held her breath while waiting for a response.

Nitro blushed too,but he was pleased it couldn't be seen. "You're all I could dream of." He laid his hand on her cheek and lightly began to stroke it. His heart beat became a but faster.
