At a young age prince igneous has lost his mother, and his father becomes distant, and though his elder sister did her best to make him happy, it never was to be. The child having a fascination for dragons was elated to discover one in the deepest part of the castle dungeons whom promised the young prince anything in exchange for his release. So the prince asked for the two things closest to his heart, adventure, and a family.
Upon releasing this dragon, he got that and so much more, but who knows what awaits beyond the horizon.

(Pretty open ended, young prince goes on an extraordinary adventure with his new adoptive dragon dad. I'll be playing the two main characters but any other role is up for grabs really)

How are you planning to start the ic topic? Setting and situation I mean. Are you waiting on a certain number of people?

Well I had a more detailed version of this post ready, but I deleted it because in my experience. The more detailed your set up, the less likely you'll get responses.

I get it, a lot of people like to jump in and go from there, I'm just asking for a basic starting location. Such as do we start before the dragon is released? After? Long long before/after? I'm not asking about a detailed plot line or anything but knowing where things start is nice for planning first posts.

To be simple we'll start a few months after the event, the king is still wallowing in loathing about his wife's death and pays little mind to the fact his son is missing.

The boy himself appears to be alone in a tavern of all places in a city trade port for the kingdom. He sleeps in a chair close to the fire in the main room and seems rather content, looking more like a street orphan than a prince currently.
