To be simple we'll start a few months after the event, the king is still wallowing in loathing about his wife's death and pays little mind to the fact his son is missing.

The boy himself appears to be alone in a tavern of all places in a city trade port for the kingdom. He sleeps in a chair close to the fire in the main room and seems rather content, looking more like a street orphan than a prince currently.

The orphan Demi witch walked around the new-found town. She was new and needed help to find her way home.

Archer made his way to the tavern he found it almost falling to the ground he walked in. Archer opened the door to the tavern and walked in like he owned the place. He stumbled a bit almost losing his almost empty bottle. He managed to get more money from a passing nobleman. He walked awkwardly toward a table and sat down taking another swig. Nothing makes a pirate feel better than drinking rum. He looked over to see some people staring at him assuming he is a pirate which he was. "What arr...you all looking at?" They all looked away as he took another swig. Seemed like the bottle is empty. He stuck his tongue out to get another drop as he tapped the back of the bottle. "Eh..." was all he could muster before he tossed the bottle aside.

She walked inside the tavern. She was no older than 19 so she was new to this stuff. She looked around, the slightest hint of fear in her eyes.

Twig sat atop the fireplace leaning against a clock with a thimble of ale to his left. The tavern owner thought fairies were good luck and had offered him free drink to stay for the day so there he lounged. Occasionally he would glance at the orphan kid that sat below him. He glared at the disturbance as the pirate entered but settled as the commotion died down,barely noticing the strange girl as he returned to his drink.

Eventually the kid would wake up with a yawn and simply stretch out closer to the fire, then as if magic. He ripped a small chunk out of the fire and ate it.
Gaining a pleased smile as he did.

She stood there, enjoying the warmth as she looked around. She saw a pirate, fairy, and another orphan. She smiled, she wasn't alone.

Twig shifted his wings as he saw the strange orphan stir. He cocked his eyebrow as the kid reached for the fire, expecting to see the orphan recoil from the burn. He froze however when the boy ate a ball of flame. There was either something very wrong or very strange about the boy, and Twig might just be curious enough to find out.
He crawled forward, peering over the edge of the hearth to get a better look at the boy, wondering what he would do next.

He noticed the boy EAT fire. Not that he wasn't familiar with magic even though he wasn't capable of using it. He had his fair share of magic used against him. He also seen a fairy over to his right. He also noticed a fine looking young lady walk in. He could tell she was new here. He stared at her a bit but then he turned his attention back to the one that ATE fire. He kept his eye on him to see what happens next.

She laughed as the young boy ate fire. It was common in her village so she wasn't surprised, but she paid attention to what would happen next.

He laughed to himself showing off his sharp canine teeth and molten gold eyes. He then pulls back his sleeve and begins to rub a tattoo on his left wrist.
A tattoo of a dragon with its tail curled all the way up his arm.
The mark of the royal family emblazoned upon his wrist over its body as it expanded its wings from his thumb to his pinkie.

She gasped. The prince was here and dressed like that?! The whole tavern bowed down to him, but the girl stayed standing, unable to move.

Archer almost got up. Someone from the royal family is here? In this tavern? No wonder he got Archers attention.

Twig's eyes grew wide. Eating fire was one thing, but sharp teeth and unusually golden eyes? He couldn't just sit there. Spreading his wings he shot off the hearth, nearly knocking over the clock. He flew down and hovered eye level to the boy.
"What are you?"
If his mum was there she would have smacked him out of the air for rudeness, but subtlety was not his strong point.
The tattoos meaning was lost on him and he did not notice or care about the reaction of the other patrons.

"Oh, I got careless again."
He stated as he rubbed the dragons head lightly.
"Sorry drak." He apologized to his wrist as he made his way for the door.

Twig flew after the boy, stopping just inches from the boys face.
"Don't ignore me! You didn't answer my question, and who is drak?"
Twig was feeling perturbed and ill at ease. A few ideas as to the answer to his questions buzzed through his mind. None of them were reassuring.

She watched him with wide eyes. "Haiw wia owkk?"

The prince payed the fairy no mind as he skipped out the door, turning back to the open doorway he gave an innocent fanged smile.
"Drak is my best friend and new dad. He's a dragon you know? One of the last."
And with that he left as if nothing was wrong.
