Heyo~! I was totally interested into making an all-girls orphanage RP, but I wanted to know who else was into the idea before I made the group.

Here's some info about the RP:

• The residents of the orphanage have to be between the ages of eight to seventeen.
• The orphanage is an all-girls orphanage. Sorry guys, but that means that there are no male girls living there.

...wow, "no male girls"? I'm not even going to fix that...

Anyway, you get the gist. No male residents. Girls only. Next!

• The orphanage will be run by my character, Kylie, and her best friend. Kylie's father owns the orphanage and will be allowing her to take care of the residents for a year while he's away. Kylie will be sixteen and her friend will be seventeen.
• Oh yeah, I almost forgot! This RP will have magic~! No OP stuff though!

Also I say "magic", but you can really have any ability. This takes place in modern day, but feel free to give yourself whatever. I wouldn't recommend combat-specific abilities though since, like I said, I don't think there will be any combat. Again, no OP stuff! Lastly, you can have more than one ability, but please try not to go overboard. God modding is mean ;-;

• In terms of post-length, I am not really strict when it comes to it. I don't believe in that "at least a paragraph" stuff. You can post with any length you feel comfortable with, and shouldn't have to feel obligated to push yourself to make a long post.
  
  Buuuuuut that doesn't mean you can just get away with one-liners all the time. I understand: we all have those moments where we brain fart and can't make much more than a sentence, and that's totally fine. Just please try and give people something to work with.

This: "..." is okay if you're character is silent or speechless, but wouldn't it be more fun if you said something like this:

"...ah..." Kylie opened her mouth to speak, but found that no words emerged. The shock of what so and so said had left her wide-eyed and speechless.

Again, I'm not forcing anyone to do anything. But please don't be lazy with your writing if you can help it. It'd just make everyone's lives easier~!

Concerning species, I'd prefer humans if that's okay.

Okaaaay what's next...umm...well I guess I should address the "elephant in the room". The thing that everyone's probably been wondering since they started reading. Romance.

Since this is an all-girls orphanage, the only kind of romance you'd see here would be FxF. Of course, not everyone has to partake in it, but I'm also not going to restrict it or anything. Feel free to let your Yuri hearts flutter~

But will I allow sexual stuff? Nein! You're all underaged, so none of that will be allowed! *puffs out cheeks*

While I'm at it, this seems like the type of roleplay that you would need to make a character specifically for. Do you plan on making a character sheet for it or have people play younger versions of already pre-existing characters?

Would we be going for mimicking slice of life anime(with all the cutesy girls doing cutesy stuff tropes)? I'm guessing there will be no describable plot and we just sort of mill about and get to know the characters. I'm down for that, despite this being a major step out of my comfort zone. Sounds... fun. I guess.

Count me in as a maybe- eh- kinda sorta. Character driven roleplays depend on the characters and players, so I'll see who else wants in.

I'm not asking anyone to make any sort of character specifically for it, though they can if they want to. As long as the character is seventeen at the most (and female), they're allowed in. Also, if they're character is above seventeen, then they can tweak their character's age if they really want to use them.

And if they want a really young, character, I wouldn't mind that either. I might even be willing to extend the minimum age if someone really wants a character that's seven or younger. Though, I wouldn't recommend someone whose practically a baby.

Well, I guess it would be like a slice of life anime, yeah. But I do plan on making things happen in the RP. Being the one in charge of taking care of the girls, Kylie will have some activities planned to help everyone adjust to the orphanage, and just in general try to help everyone to have fun and open up.

So don't worry about a lack of plot. I will at the very least make an attempt at character development for both Kylie and those she and her friend interact with.

For example, I can tell that Kylie will have a bit of a hard time getting Kana to open up, am I right?

Cool cool, pretty much what I expected. Gives me the idea to separate arcs into Episodes with various themes. And eh, while I'd rather wait a bit for more takers to establish preexisting relations, right off the bat I can imagine these two getting on just fine if Kylie isn't wierded out by her. Being the motherly sort if I'm accurate, I'd doubt Kylie would. Kana probs has some mixed feelings about her. Hmm... I'm hoping at least one character will be wierded out for comedic value.

All that's left is to wait... and advertise. Sadly I know no other weebs who'd be into this. Waiting~

By the way, I also want to talk about how many people I'm looking for. Originally, I just wanted to see how many people would apply, and I still kinda feel that way. But I think that maybe six residents will do. Thanks to Kana, that's one person down. I also have two other characters that are in as well, meaning that maybe three or so more will do. Depending on if there's more after that that want to join, I might consider increasing the amount of people.

Even so, I don't want it to be too large of a group, or it might become hard to manage with just Kylie and her friend alone. That's why I think six residents is a perfect size. Let me know what you guys think.

Six is a fine number. Remember that people come and go. Roleplayers may take interest and drop within the first week. I wouldn't make that six number a hard set thing, and advise to set a date for when we'll start with say 4 members, and then reboot the interest check after say a month if no one else has wanted to join. (Actually, I'm not an expert on this site's rules so I don't even know if that's allowed.) I bring that up because a roleplay I've joined recently has been dragging along because two members dropped, and the "chosen 5" have to be a set of five people, so that's on hiatus.

What was I saying again? Oh. Yeah, that's fine I guess. And definitely increase the number as people join (to a reasonable degree. I.e. 12 or 14. That's how roleplays survive as members drop.) Want to make small talk? I'm a bit bored waiting. Can I ask what's your experience running a game? It doesn't seem this will be a particularly difficult one to manage but eh I'm curious.

So to not make this (shameless) bump useless, I'll include a little more information about the RP:

• Kylie and her friend will not have any powers.
• The orphanage is actually Kylie's father's estate that was turned into an orphanage. For a while, it was for non-powered orphans, but it's recently opened it borders to everyone.
• Kylie lives at the orphanage, but, if you haven't guessed by now, she is not an orphan. She works for her father and is accepting the job of taking care of the girls while he's away for the year (though this is explained in the original post)
• In terms of the universe, powers may or may not be a common thing; This can be decided by the members once everyone's gathered.
