This is a simple rp based off a book I'm writing, to cut a long backstory short.
There was once the realm of Avalon, home to the witches (witch in this case is a gender neutral term) ruled by the peaceful king Balder.
Balder had two daughters, Hel, and Morrigan. Hel being the eldest was destined to take the throne, but during her coronation on the night of the emerald comit, she cast a curse on her younger sister rather than an enchantment on the kingdom, and thus became victim to a primordial force known as corruption.
As Avalon itself fell only a handful of witches escaped and became the gods of the ancient world, only going into hiding at the time of witch burnings.
Now they hold high places of status and have a strong grip in the worlds governments.
