The year is 2917, you and a group of completely unrelated pilots have discovered and landed on a strange, life filled planet. While the planet is full of life, it is nothing like you know of, completely different, completely strange. Your goal is to cooperate with the other strangers in order to colonize the planet and make it suitable for human survival. The planet's weather is similar to Earth, but much stronger and lasts for much longer. Many animals on the planet may be aggressive, so you must always stay on guard around them. You will encounter life with nearly as much intelligence as the average human, some may be like your typical dog or cat, on this planet anything is possible. Will you survive long enough to complete your mission or will you die trying?
This is the first time I'll be doing a large scale sci-fi RP, so bear with me.
I'm looking for 2-4 people to join me on a small RP that is loosely based off of the docufiction movie 'Alien Planet' (And 'Expedition' by Wayne Douglas Barlowe). This will of course be taking place in a futuristic time setting, however the planet they'll be landing on is rather primitive. Combat is possible, but extremely unlikely. Magic is possible, but I'd rather it not be too overpowered or all that common. Romance is a possibility, but do not let it take over the purpose of the story. All species are welcome to join the RP. On very, very, rare occasions there may be unexplained, POSSIBLY supernatural events. Minor "environmental" magic. Perhaps implies the existence of a deity or supernatural entity. Or perhaps it's just tricks?
Far future, perhaps interstellar travel (generation ships)
A peaceful setting, but with a chance for small fights and struggles to break out on a very small scale.
Details: Freeform, adjustable length posts, long-term RP partner preferred.
