IC thread here!
I keep getting worse with these long openings. I sorry. I'm thinking of making a few images to give a better picture of what's going on. Don't hurt me, I don't know how ships work. Side note, braies are all the rage lately!
This rp goes by the same rules I mention for my other ones; you can insert your character as whatever you want, as long as you're not taking the role of or godmodding other people's characters. Like Tye is my character, thus off-limits, but if you wanted to be any of the non-named characters mentioned in the OP (slaves, workers, sailors, the captain) you're free to take that role.
The environment is inspired by what you'd see in latin america, and I incorporated a mythological creature from mesoamerica for my post. You can be whatever you want but try to keep in mind that this setting is supposed to resemble a tropical rainforest. The setting is medieval, obvs, but if you want a general time equivalent to this fantasy story think renaissance.

Without sounding silly... what's godmodding?
Love reading and plenty of detail, a grand entrance for sure! Keep up the good work.
By the way what kind of mythical creature did you choose?

I am very interested in this! May I join? If so. Would you prefer crew (disguised as a boy) or slave? My other character that would work for this is Katlina. let me know, thanks!
Add on: or in keeping with Taff's post, Sirina could be a captive of the pirates on the island.

I spell it incorrectly as a habit, but it means god moding. God moding is when you take control of the situation or other peoples' characters without their say. Like if we were rping a western style duel and I were to type "so-and-so draws in the blink of an eye, shooting such-and-such before he can even draw his pistol!".
I chose the black cadejo from mesoamerican myth.
You're free to join Breezy! I give you full liberty, though I suppose if Sirina is on the run (and considering she doesn't seem the type to compromise about it) I think the idea of disguising as a crew member makes the most sense. She can be a slave too, but if that were the case she likely wouldn't be disguised.
Also yay pirates!(?)

I have Sir Henry Morgan being developed and Calico Jack already created. Two Pirates Ahoy!
It made sense to drag Henry Morgan into this one because he was the royal ambassador so would have known the king.
As the governor he would know/be told that Tye is a renowned thief... here comes the execution warrant!
Probably he might get acquainted with the merchant as bribery was very common among power figures. (extra sentencings = extra slaves on the cheap or free for these rich traders)
Last but not least it will bring an edge into the story if the king sees for himself how corrupt the governor is to the point of being a pirate and making dubious profitable deals with rich merchants in return for payment.

Great characters!

As the governor he would also know or be told that Tye is a renowned thief and runaway slave... here comes the arrest warrant for him and for anyone giving him aid or shelter.

Great characters!
Are you making any pirates or knights of the royal army?
I might make characters representing both, most likely pirates, but only to progress the plot for others. I'll probably discuss their place in the pirate hierarchy here whenever I do that.
here's the wiki page.
The black cadejo is a bringer of misfortune, not too unlike the shuck if you're familiar with that. The white cadejo is a guide for the lost, drunkards and people walking through the night; the antithesis of its black companion. Some myths describe the cadejo as being an incarnation of the devil, but I'm just keeping it as itself.
Physically it looks like a dog with goat hooves. Appearances vary a bit; some have horns, some don't.

A very interesting description, what sort of harm this cadejo brings?
Got it. My posts are gonna be a little shorter for now, as Tye isn't capable of much and my filler character Mark is napping. xD My length fluctuates on circumstance, so don't worry about matching mine.
My intro posts also tend to be longer, but I try to stay at several paragraphs. I also try to match my rp partners, so good to know!
I love reading so by all means post as you like. I only have 2 RPs at the moment so it gives me ample time to post in more detail
I want you to know that Mark, in particular is a man in his mid forties. He's seen a lot, and has probably seen runaway 'boys' before. xD I'm not saying he can see right past her disguise, just that he's thinking. "Is this a boy?"
I wanted to ask, though. Tye's not going to head for those pirates, so unless you're cozy with drawing the narrative in your own direction there for a while, I can juggle probs one pirate. But since its your crew, its up to you Tusitala.

Sure... no problem... you could be the master-at-arms whilst Tye goes off to explore the island and creature. He would be the one that commands the slaves and prisoners, gives them tasks and reprimands and in general takes charge of the crew whilst the busy captains talk
Blackbeard is also free and/or any other pirate of your choice

Haha, gotcha, Mark may guess early. I'm fairly warned she may not be as great at hiding it as she thinks either. Time will tell.
I wonder what happened to the ship's captain and to the merchant himself and whether they found the cadejo...

I bet at least one of them survived... x) the cadejo seems to have vanished for now.
Well there's supposed to be a good cadejo which is white and a bad omen cadejo which is black... wonder if he'll bring both into the story or just the one. I was reading up about it, quite an interesting quirk
