Orbana was completely normal until an accident happened, destroying certain things and parts of Orbana. The general public's memories were wiped, thinking that Orbana has always been this way. The Coalition, a government created to use the wiped memories of millions to their advantage, taxing things like alien transport, for the not true reason that it destroys the atmosphere, and taxing each individual watt of electricity.

He woke to the sounds of screaming and shooting. "Hirimaku! Get your keys and RUN!" He heard someone scream. Then a bang, like someone was trying to knock down his apartment door. He was already dressed, so he slipped on his Nike's and grabbed his backpack and keys. Another bang, and smoke started seeping under the door.

'How can I get out?' He thought, but the answer was obvious. He would have to climb down. He slid open the window, and stared. Half the building was on fire, yet no police or medics. 'It was probably organised by the Coalition,' He thought. The fire escape was rickety, like all other slum apartments. But he stepped onto it anyways, and just as he was climbing down the ladder, a giant explosion destroyed the section of ladder he was on and threw him off the building.
Eve sighed as another blip appeared on the screen. Fighting had broken out in another town above ground. It hadn't been a day since the last skirmish between the Resistance and the Coalition had broken out. Thankfully, this time it was too far away for her to be sent in. Pulling up a roster of the Coalition soldiers in that area, she tagged a few and dispatched them to the town to try to restore order.
When that was done and the soldiers acknowledged her orders, she glanced around to be sure no one was within hearing range and tapped one of her implants into the communications array. The call was made undetectable on the Coalition's end by virtue of the AI, Ezekiel, that existed in her head--or to be more accurate, in the cybernetic section of her brain.
"This is Solo calling RS base twenty," she whispered. "Skirmish in site two-two-nine-three has been noted by Coalition operatives. Soldiers are incoming to the location. Suggest pulling any agents present out of there. Solo out."
She glanced around again to make sure no one had heard her. It was unnecessary, course. She'd chosen this spot purposely because the neighboring agents weren't particularly observant workers. Sighing again, she leaned back in her chair, rubbing the implants at the base of her neck. They still irritated the skin around them from time to time.
"You know that's caused by stress, right?" said a gentle voice in her head.
She snorted and replied, also only in her head, "Zeke, if I had a penny for every time you told me something was caused by stress, I'd be rich."
"I wouldn't keep reminding you if you wouldn't keep getting yourself into situations that only make you stress worse. I told you months ago that we needed to be pulled out. Now it's only a matter of time before someone finally hits the nail on the head and figures out who the mole is."
"And when that happens, it happens. We can't really stop it now."
He snorted. "You may have offered to give your life for this cause, but I didn't and we share a body. Therefore, when the time comes, I will drag you out of here if I have to."
"Alright darling, let's focus more on not getting caught right now rather than on what may--"
Suddenly, a siren went off on one of the speakers. Another skirmish seemed to have started--directly above the station.

He woke up in one of the Resistance's underground bases. He groaned, trying to figure out how he had managed to fly off his apartment building and land underground. "Computer, what station is this?" He asked the AI built into every station the Resistance had. No response. Not even a beep. Which meant he was in a Coalition lab, not a Resistance one. He immediately went up and touched his head with his paw, checking to see if there was a tiny cybernetic implant that the Coalition put in whenever they recruited more people. It was there. But it was also supposed to hold back memories of before a person got the implant, unless they were always by the Coalition's side. Everyone had one, except for people in the Resistance and some people in the Coalition. But he still remembered everyone, and everything that happened. 'It must be because I have an incompatible brain type,' He thought, and immediately heard a response. 'That's true. By the way my name is Josh, and now I'm in your head, here to serve you.
Eve checked her gun holster out of habit before running towards the surface. The lower ranked Coalition agents in the corridors moved respectfully out of the way for her. She'd been posted here long enough that they recognized her easily. Of course, without a wig on, she was easily recognizable. The torture that she had endured many years ago when she had been a prisoner of war--before the coalition had taken over--had left her bald with her implants bared for all to see. Her's were far more extensive than that of most of the Coalition agents, due to the severe damage she had taken to her brain and nervous system. It had been this that had allowed her to keep her memories in tact when she had originally been captured by the Coalition, and later become a Resistance mole.
Reaching the surface, she drew her gun and set it to a tranq dart. The Coalition preferred to recruit enemies after wiping their memories rather killing them. It was a sound tactic--not only did it mean you were using your enemies' forces against them, it also meant that Resistance fighters often ended up meeting their old kidnapped comrades and got kidnapped themselves because they refused to shoot.
The entrance to the bunker was beneath an abandoned, supposedly condemned building in the slums. She could hear the fighting a couple of streets over, and closer, the roar of flames consuming an apartment building across the street. A flash of red caught her eye and she focused in on the figure climbing down the ladder to flee the burning building. Right then, the fire must have reached a gas line, because an explosion rocked the area. She, and several of the soldiers who had followed her up, were knocked backwards into the building. It took her a few moments to figure out which way was up before she could return to her feet. Ears ringing loudly, and bleeding from a minor head wound, she checked the other soldiers to be certain they weren't dead and sent the worst wounded ones back underground.
She turned on the shield generator in her suit and went across the street to look for survivors in the wreckage. The fire escape on the apartments had been blown completely free of the building and lay in a heap in the street. Picking up lifesigns, she jogged over and saw the red-furred figure she had spotted just before the explosion crumpled beneath the fire escape. Yelling to the soldiers who had remained with her for help, they managed to lift the metal frame up enough to get underneath and drag the prone form out. Eve checked his pulse before examining him for injuries. He'd gotten out pretty lucky for being caught in an explosion.
She ordered one of the soldiers, "He's alive. Take him down to medical and get him patched up. CC may want to chip him."

((Do people like Hirimaku have a special name in this world? Or do they call them furries?))

"Oh, god, you're not really in my head, right?" He said out loud. 'Well, I'm voicing from a unknown location into the chip in your head, so technically not.' Josh said. But he wasn't paying attention. He was looking around the room, trying to find the door to exit the room. 'The chip in your head contains a tracking device that would tell the Coalition if you escaped.' Josh said, reading his mind. But he had enough of Josh. So he did the only thing he could think of. He ripped out the chip.

The pain he felt was unbearable, as he realized how much the chip had been holding back- pain, emotions, memories. With rage, he slammed on the door, feeling it buckle, as the weak aluminum crumpled under the pressure. Soon the door was on the floor, and he stepped out into the hallway. None of the guards had noticed. He subdued the nearest one from behind, getting the attention of the other guards. One shot at him, but he dodged the slow moving beam and broke his arm. He managed to get out before the other ones got to him. He ran down the hallway, and as he turned the corner, he found himself face-to-face with a wall of Coalition guards.
Eve breathed a deep sigh of relief upon re-entering the bunker. After several hours of helping pull survivors from the burning buildings above, her throat was burning, her right eye was watering, and she had several minor burns all over her body--not to mention the fact that she smelled like a smoke stack. All she wanted now was a long, hot shower, and her soft bed.
Unfortunately, it didn't look like she's be getting either one right at the moment, since just as she was about to reach her quarters, the internal alarm system began to wail. Holographic screens activated to show a map of the bunker and the problem--one of the new "recruits" had woken up and ran. Eve jogged to the corridor where guards were forming a wall and readying their guns. On one of the screens, security footage played of the red-furred man she had pulled from underneath the collapsed fire escape waking up, presumably panicking and ripping his new implant right out of his skull.
"It is likely that the genetic splicing he has undergone has rendered him immune--or mostly immune--to Coalition technology," said Ezekiel.
"That would mean he'd be an excellent agent for the Resistance--if he isn't already," Eve answered. Out loud, she shouted to the guards, "Lower your weapons. The prisoner is not to be harmed. He'll be able to provide us useful information on why our implants don't always work the way they were intended."
Obediently, they lowered their weapons just as the prisoner sprinted around the corner. She saw the look of shock on his face as he was surrounded.
"Don't resist us and we won't hurt you, " Eve said calmly.

The lady in the front said some words he could not really understand, as he forgot English and went back to his native language, Draku. As two Coalition guards dragged him along, he yelled "Usaniko warabav nok!" Which means something like, well, no one knows Draku except for native speakers. He struggled as two guards dragged him along, trying to break free. They dragged him into another room, threw him in, and slammed the door shut.

He decided to look around the room, remembering English as he went. The room was some kind of interrogation room, with a thick plastic sheet as a window. On the other side, there was a control panel with buttons and labels, one of them said 'Debilitating Gas'. Geez. He made the mistake of sitting down in one of the chairs he saw. The chair immediately clasped down on his arms and legs, and grabbing onto his head with some kind of rig. He was trapped.

OOC: It's furries.
Eve sent a quick transmission to her direct superior about the incident in the corridor, letting her know it was now under control after sending all but one guard off to their normal duties. To Ezekiel, she said, "That language he shouted in. Did you get a read on it?
"No, as far as I can tell, it isn't in the databases, although it is possible that I merely didn't hear enough of it, or that he was speaking a rural dialect that my processors couldn't pick up."
"Well, if he doesn't speak English, and you can't translate for me, that may turn out to be a snag."

The last guard stood watch outside the door, as it would look suspicious if she had sent them all away. Ezekiel disrupted all the internal surveillance and placed it on a loop for her.
As she entered the room, she saw the state the the furry had gotten himself into and sighed. "Ah. I see you found The Chair. I always did think those things were over-the-top. Here, let me get you out of there," she said, fiddling with the console to find the switch to get the chair to release its prey. "Do you speak any English?"

The lady that was at the front of the group walked in, and immediately said, "Ah. I see you found The Chair. I always did think those things were over-the-top. Here, let me get you out of there," and started touching random buttons and levers. While she was doing that, she asked, "Do you speak any English?" He spoke afterwards. "Yes, it's just that when I get excited, angry, or scared, I go back to my native language, Draku, which won't be in any textbooks or databases, as no one except natives know it." The clasps unclamped, and he immediately spilled the beans.

"I'm a 11th rank Resistance officer in control over the Danro, Toma, and Ishi district bases. I also organised the attacks on several Coalition bases, including this one, and goodbye." he grabbed the small phaser out of his pocket, aimed it at himself, and fired. The blast felt familiar, as he had seen so many people, including friends and family, fall under them. They were banned in Orbana, but everyone still had one, and if you had one, no one would arrest you. But all he saw was black.
Eve lurched forward as the Resistance operative pulled out the phaser and pointed it at himself, but was unable to grab him before he shot himself. She caught him before his head slammed off the floor and said, "Well. Shit."
"That seems to sum it up, yes," replied Ezekiel.
"I'm going to bust the guard that searched him so far down the line of command that he'll be taking orders from recruits," she muttered as she felt for a pulse. She sighed when she found one. "He's alive, but his pulse is thready. Contact our friend in medical. I've got an idea. He may have given us a foolproof way to get him out of this base."
After getting some guards with a stretcher in to carry him downstairs, and after explaining the situation to her superior officer (who agreed that punishment was in order for the inattentive person who searched him), Eve made her way down to the medbay and cornered her contact there.
"Your time has come, Doctor. I need a favour, no questions asked."
The mousy little man blinked his small eyes before puffing himself up indignantly, making a futile attempt to get to eye level with her. "I told you I would never do anything for you! You're a liar and a traitor!" he hissed.
"Yes, you did, but then I reminded you that I know things about you that would have you executed by both the Coalition and the Resistance, and you shut up after that."
He squirmed a bit, trying and failing to keep the indignant look on his face, but didn't respond.
"Yes. That's what I thought. Now. You, personally, are going to patch up the furry that was just brought in with a phaser wound. And you are then going to fake his death. Convincingly, Doctor. I know you can do it. Make sure no one realizes, and make sure he stays unconscious. After he goes to the morgue, you are going to retrieve him and bring him to this address up top." She handed him a slip of paper. "I'll take it from there." She gave a jolly smile at the frightened look in his eyes and patted his back--hard--as she walked away.
As she monitored the goings-on in the medbay, she saw the flatline and smiled to herself. Very good, Doctor. Time for my exit.
She grabbed a bag from her quarters, mourning the fact that she had never been able to take her shower, and made her way to the meeting place.
"You wanted me to be extracted, Zeke. Looks like you're getting your wish."
Lightbulb Hirimaku (played by justanaveragefurry) Topic Starter

He woke up to a rat faced man pushing him out of a morgue. "What the hell is going on here!" He hissed. The man shushed him. "Doin a Favor for Eve, I suppose," The man said. The man Pushed him to an elevator, which smelled like it was the elevator for bodies. They got up to the surface, and the man pushed him around a corner. "You can get up now. I grabbed your bag for you." He held it it out. He snatched it from the man, and they walked around the corner, where he saw the lady from the interoggation room.

(( I was on a Christian sabbatical Sorry for the short notice))
Eve stood looking out the window of the abandoned building with her bag at her feet when she heard two sets of footsteps approaching behind her. Turning, she saw Doctor Calvert walking towards her with the Resistance agent following hesitantly behind. The doctor sneered at her and said, "As you commanded."
She smirked. "Very good, doctor. You are now free of this dirty traitor. Feel free to tell Coalition Command what you knew about me now." He snorted rudely and turned to hurry off through the gloom.
Eve turned to the room's other occupant with a smile. "Hello again. Please do me a favour and try not to shoot yourself this time. My name is Evangeline Solo. I'm an agent with the Resistance, working undercover. My contacts are from the base in Maira, Pannan, operating number five-three-three-two-eight. I'm here to escort you out of Coalition territory. The Coalition now believes you dead, though if I know Calvert's type, he'll find some way to alert them to us without incriminating himself very soon. The scumbag. Are you agreeable?"
Lightbulb Hirimaku (played by justanaveragefurry) Topic Starter

"Yes," he said to Eve. "I am agreeing with everything you just said. The only reason I shot myself because-" he did not have the time to finish, as shots rang out. An old, rusty ventilation pipe clanged down next to him, and he saw figures running around the corner of the building. he looked up and saw the rest of the tube system was still stable. A garbage dumpster was standing nearby. He hopped on it and reached into the pipe. The tube went on some way, but he soon dropped down into an abandoned boiler room.
"Yes, I am agreeing with everything you just said. The only reason I shot myself was because-" Eve didn't get to hear exactly why it was that he'd shot himself, as shots rang out from nearby and a pipe crashed to the floor. As the other Resistance agent clambered up another pipe attached to the wall, Eve cursed and pulled her gun from its holster, taking cover behind a column.
"Our meetings just keep getting better and better, don't they?" she yelled to him over the din, returning fire. Once he was clear of the pipe, she grabbed her backpack and tossed it over her shoulder before rolling over to the wall and hopping up to grasp a hold of the pipe herself. Just as she got to the top and was about to throw herself over, a lucky bullet buried itself in her arm--the one that was still organic--and she cried out, nearly losing her grip on the pipe.
Using her other arm and her legs, she managed to vault over the wall. Thankfully, it wasn't too high up since there was nothing to grasp a hold of on the other side and she landed on the floor with an oof.
Leaning against the wall to check on her wound, she said, "Well, this is fun. Do you see a way out from here?"
Lightbulb Hirimaku (played by justanaveragefurry) Topic Starter

As Eve asked him that, he looked at her and saw she had been shot. He reached into his bag, looking for the bandage container. He wrapped it around her arm, and saw that a fan was pushing a door open and closed. "The fan is opening the door," he said, "We could probably get through." Without waiting for her answer, he charged through the door and was met by a thick woven bag. He immediately knew that it was dusted with a chemical called oxypropelacid base q. OPA base q can do wonders to any brain. He shouted to alert Eve, and drifted off into a slumber.
After hearing his shout of warning from the other side of the door, Eve cursed and pulled her knapsack onto her back with a wince as it pulled at the bullet wound. Drawing her weapon, she approached to door and attempted to see through, but the fan obscured the view. Continuing to curse vehemently under her breath, Eve backed up a little before quickly rolling through when the door opened. She came to her feet with her weapon at the ready. She saw her compatriot unconscious on the floor and swung around looking for his assailant. A young voice shouted, "Don't shoot! It was an accident!!"
Lightbulb Hirimaku (played by justanaveragefurry) Topic Starter

He jolted upright, seeing that Eve was standing there, facing a young man. His olive-brown skin stood out in the light corridor. He noticed Eve had a gun trained on him, and at that moment, he knew who it was. "Eve, chillax. This is my friend Aedail." he said.
